  • We here in Moncton,New-Brunswick,Canada are fortunate enough to have two tidal bores daily on our beloved Peticodiac River but i must say that's a nice bore.Nice to know there's fellow bore whores in the UK.

  • Thanks for the explanation Rodney

  • like your videos Paul will keep a look out for you next time

  • At 2.43, has the guy towards the bottom of the screen got a turbo?

  • @GreenStreetPlayer

The bore is the start of the incoming tide, so you can end up with a 12knot current following the wave, this is stronger at the edges, if you fall off it is sometimes possible to paddle back into the wave with the aid of the current...just like turbo guy!

  • Excellent footage. It's great that people are willing to brave the cold early mornings to video and share natural spectacles like this with those of us not fortunate enough to see it for ourselves. Thankyou paulknightley for taking the time. It's much appreciated :-)

  • @brenpebbs Thanks - perhaps you'll be able to get down there one day yourself

  • Nice capture - shame the weather wasn't great!
