This is one of the best songs Hank Thompson ever did. It reminds of a 3.2 bar I drank in back in the 60's in St. Paul. Always on Sunday morning, when the hard liquor palces were closed. I alwyas played this on the Juke box.
Now this is good ole country music. The likes of which we will never see again.
I am so glad I got to grow up with all the old artist. Hank, Conway and so many others, those were definitely the days and I feel sorry for all those who missed it.
Thanks for taking the time to respond, it seems that two many of ours singers are going away if it wasn't for people like you and I trying to keep all these memory alive, have this feeling another 20 years from now all will be lost and i would really hate for my great great daughter who is 1 year now will never know how you and i feel about these wonderful people, God Bless You, and great job, Applaud, Applaud, Applaud, !!!!
@MegaAutostop I grew up on Hank Thompson, my earliest memory, and still love him...the "King of Western Swing" My dad's singing voice was eerily close to Hanks' and they sang together at a club in Witchita when I was a little girl....vaguely remember, but I know they sang Humpty Dumpty Heart, and Most of All.
Hank charted for 6 decades, an absolutely amazing stat, and being a musician myself, cannot fathom doing that@!
