I conquered the world by 2016 on emperor, large map, 7 tribes, and raging hordes - barbarian style! My mighty Vikings never built a sewer system, factory or engineer unit, and sold them in any captured city that had one! No cities above size 12, and no city ever made more than 20 shields.

We overran Japan, slaughtered the Sioux, annihilated the Aztecs, ground up the Greeks, and finally crushed the Celts and pummeled the Persians and their factories and size 25 cities.

it wasn't really all that hard, you just have to build lighthouse and magellan and dominate the seas, then you can isolate the other civilizations from each other. Turn monarchist, then communist ASAP, maximize science while stealing tech from everyone else, and attack their coastal cities from the sea. Howitzers, spies and bombers were the final nail in their coffin. The whole world allied against Viking aggression, and died.

Democracy=Republic without corruption and waste and two unhappy citizens for every military units away from cities

I think that fundamentalism is the best government,because no citizen become unhappy and you can have a great army!Science is halved,but if you build libraries and universities and trade with other civilizations and raise science up to 80% you do well and discover advances shortly

I changed as soon I could my goverment into communism. Then my development ran fast and good. I also tried into democraty, but then my folk wasn't happy anymore.... blame it on the missing churches in each town.

Every pirated copy that I downloaded of Civilization 2 and it's expansions had no music, it's a shame too, because I have the original CD for Civ 2 and it doesn't work on Windows XP :(

@ClarionCoder51 I get it too work too, but I often suffer crashes ,illegal operation or something, I think its connected with the graphic card config, but there are no patches or cracks. I have tried downloading and installing and they just stop it working. Any suggestions
