She appears to me, in some sense, to be the conservative version of Bill Maher; both pay lip service to the generally accepted facts, in order to penetrate the audience's rather (in my opinion) lackluster shield of skepticism, but what both appear to really want, is to be vindicated in their ideological bias.

The problem with Mike Huckabee is that in making his case for his being a conservative he starts listing off a handful of conservative positions that he holds. Whereas he should be challenging Ann to find one, just one thing that he's not conservative on, and proving her wrong. He instead stonewalls or plainly refutes her claim without providing concrete evidence to the contrary. To be a conservative you have to be so on everything, not just a few things.

Her messages are conveyed in a way that neglects how people interpret the meaning of the words. But that is known to her, and she makes headlines, books and money from that. She says things I do agree with, but fills it with too much personal opinion, instead of points anybody can come to understand. Instead of saying, "He is a jerk!" Give a reason why others would see him as a jerk using real evidence and facts that are relevant to the discussion. I like her because I get it.
