This brought us to the setup that I describe in the video. The Walnut House was perfect for this concert because it has floating floors, and all the other typical studio sound treatment. So it sounds great! As well as an area for the audience, and the capability to record and put on a show simultaneously, without sacrificing the studio sound. - Jon
Jon here! It's a Y split that the studio uses. you can choose to phantom power microphones from the studio or from front of house.
The great thing about this venue is that it was built as a full-scale recording studio, that had a large enough tracking space to use for live concerts. The current management recognized this and have a show almost every weekend and offer the option of recording the show. The setup typically isn't as in-depth as Kevin and I had going.
