i experience great talent go to waste first hand. i live in atlanta and there's this guy they call 6'9. the call him that cause he's so tall but hes really only 6'4 or 6'5 but has extremely long arms couple that with his 44 inch vertical made him a rebounding nightmare. even though he has a thin frame he always played with older stronger guys that's why he cud rebound so gud. ppl say ho could be in the NBA rite now as a rebounding specialist for any team

but he was always kicked out of high school because of fights with teachers and his attitude always landed him in fights and coaches called him high risk high reward. so now he plays streetball at the local courts dominating the competition ppl say he could've been a better rebounder than rodman udonis haslem and all those players but him hangin with the wrong crowd lands him in and out of jail so he'll prolly end up as anotha great talent gon to waste.

As a matter of fact he coached the Daily News vs. Milbank. He saw what Joe did to Charlie Scott, Dr. J and anybody else they put to guard him. There is no one... I repeat no one in the NBA today, better than Joe Hammond... PERIOD!

that's the difference between today's Streetball players and yesterdays. Joe, Pee Wee Kirkland, they did all those things in the flow of a regulated game. Pee Wee played for Norfolk State University. Joe played in the Eastern League. That was semi pro. You do not know what your talking about.

HTP~ WOW...I used to play w/this brother. EARL was the best. How about playa's like Herman Helicopter? Alonzo Jackson? Allen Green? Fly Williams? Harlem had the greatest streetball playa's in the world.

you might have played with him. but i grew up on 115th street. Saw all of them. Everyone of them could have played in the NBA. Earl was an incredible leaper. Pee Wee Kirkland was ridiculous. Joe was the DESTROYER. Nobody could guard him... period.

Hammond got mad offers to play the NBA.Bigger Contracts than anyone in the L.But he turned them down because he said he could make more money selling.That was a bad move because now not only is his legacy less popular but I heard hes a homeless crackhead now.Most people who have seen him play would tell you that he is the G.O.A.T.
