ms butler should be very carfull.........tenents have rights.....and landlords taken to court for ileagle eviction or harrassment end up paying out alot of money....
my parents owned rental properties when i was a younger and trust me, i will NEVER be a rental owner and i dont let ANYONE stay with me at all. i saw numerous abuses of my parents properties. rotten floors from filthy living conditions and squatters in one rental for 4 months and no rent! Damn them all and i feel for this poor lady and he son!
Oh I didnt know all that, and have no reason to doubt you ! But I'm talking on a more genearl level. I know from personal experience, there are tenatnts/ squatters etc who are taught how to abuse the system, and genuine ordianary landlords can be left feeling quite powerless with thier own property.
@ijiva Get your facts straight. Carmen Nobre was a TENANT, not a squatter. Ms. Butler did not give the correct 2 months notice. Ms. Butler wanted the tenant out after the first 2 months of a 6 month tenancy. Suzy Butler tried to impose a £15 a day "penalty", which is unenforceable Also Suzy Butler was not living in a tent, that was made up. Suzy chose to bully the tenant, by making up a story and harrassing her with press & GMTV arriving at the doorstep etc. in order to shame her into leaving.
