Toyota maybe the best with compact trucks and SUVs but not so much with full-sized trucks. The Tundra is awesome, but I won't say it has enough to beat the other big 3. Toyota should implement some of its Hino engineering into the Tundra. Then Ford, Chevy, and Dodge will really have something to worry about.

man my friend and i are both in construction, he had a ford 150 and each time he would ride it about 100 miles, it would break down or have a problem. My old old 87 toyota on clutch is still working fine lol

My dads 06 tundra has 90xxx miles on it and has gotten new brakes twice and had the axle snap off 4 times. Quality my ass.

lol they have a problem with the bed being too big....I dont remember that ever being a problem for a truck. Toyota makes the best quality vehicle around. Period. If you go out and find same year cars from each company, There will be more Toyotas still running than American junk( Ford, GM, Chevy). 8.3 seconds you got to be kidding me my tundra goes way faster then that my grandma's chevy van goes faster then that and her van is 2.5 tons. i have never had to keep switching between 2 and 4 wheel drive like that you keep it on 2 wheel for the street and 4 wheel for tough terrain hell you would ruin your drive train if you keep changeing it like that all the time. maybe next time they when they test a truck they wouldnt get the long bed style which makes the trucks turn radius bigger

I love chevy and drove a chevy truck. while the suspension far exceeds the tundra, the tundra offers a better truck all around. this truck was designed for the working class. i can say after driving a tundra thats all i will by. also the chevy broke down far to much. if it wasnt the electrical syestem it was the transmission. also 80% of tundra is made in the U.S. while 75% of chevy is made in china. if you dont belive me look at he words on the motor

These guys are obviously set against Toyota. If you can't negotiate snow-dry-snow-dry roads without fulltime 4X4. Stay home. You don't need full time when you can turn on the Auto Limited Slip Differential and cover the transitions. How many times will you really see yourself shifting back and forth. Not that often. Use common sense driving. Landcruiser has fulltime system, buy it instead, at least you still have the best..a Toyota.

I have a 2002 Tundra 4wd, i friggin love it but the brakes wear out fast in the front for some reason. My suspension has been having problems though. My steering feels loose and it tends to follow the ruts in the road. It also is a bitch to park, it has a HUGE turning radius.

Wow the Canadian version has a Front Painted Bumper on the SR5. In the states if you want the front painted bumper you will have to get the Limited or the Sport Package which eliminates the Towing Package.

Also no V6 available in Canada, eh.??? Which is good.
