I love this ride. I first went on it when I was 6.

about a quater way through the ride you come up to a restraunte and everyone started waving at us and I didn't want to go on the ride so I nearly climbed out and went to the restraunte. But then the second time I went on it I loved it

As much as I like the movies I find myself saddened that the classic ride is no more. Adding Johnny Depp's character to the ride seems superfluous, I mean, will later generations even remember who he is? It seems like a bit of an ego trip to me.

Except for references to the movie, this ride has not has not changed since the 60s. I was stationed on a tin can in San Diego and was 19. I would go up there and go on this ride any chance I got. I loved it.

I remember back when Jack Sparrow wasn't the main theme of this ride...

Now it's funny though, because I'm having a harder time remembering what had taken his place before...

But I have to say, I love that they added the movie's elements into the ride!

The first time I went through after they'd added him, I honestly asked, "Are you sure that's not someone in costume?"

It was fun to see the difference between the new Jack Sparrow robot movement compared to the regulars that'd been there before.

This stupid bitch was ruining the ride for everyone by taking flash pictures the whole damn time. She even faced the camera back at us and took a picture like she was purposely trying to piss us off. Then at the battle part, the water splashed and got all over her camera. It was hilarious.

Thanks for the ride through . I am here in NC so we go to Disneyworld . Have been through both . Don't know why Disney had to water down the Haunted Mansion and Pirates here . Esp Pirates . The beginning and end aren't nearly as good . Our Peter Pan is a lot better . But that doesn't help much . Don't know why Disney would do this since they had more space and more money by then .

I was at Disneyland on wednesday night and rode Pirates which is fantastic. I've been on the ride countless times in my life, but the past two times I've noticed something a bit disturbing. Once the town is on fire and you cross under a bridge, if you look to your right in a window of a burning house, you will also see a menorah burning. My friend and I attempted to take a picture but our cameras on our phones aren't great in the dark. If you have a pass, look for that next time!
