Her voice is too dark for Blonchen, she would be far better as Konstanze.

@pedrofribeiro Yes, but she is a servant somewhat, while Konsanze is a true noble lady - her voice should be like Donna Anna as well; Sutherland, Gruberova - these are Konsanze, while it is funny that Prohaska just sang Zerlina in La Scala - a voice that could be Despina as well, and sung by Reri Grist, Kathleen Battle - perhaps back that that "teenager" notation; but not the noble heroine, it seems - because these Blondchens, Zerlinas, Despinas are somewhat comical.

@CiboCeleste Yes, that's probably what it is. For instance, Kathleen Battle is the definitive Blondchen, she suits the role better than anyone else, and her silvery, pure high voice, is fabulous in Blondchen's arias.

@pedrofribeiro I agree, but still Prohaska is very good, too - and well, she comes from a very musical family - grandfather Felix a conductor of Wiener Staatsoper, great grandfather a composer, so...it helps :)

Great singer. But what is with the masturbation scene? The Germans have no "Personenregie" anymore. Just throw in as much vulgarity or violence as possible-- that is truly "deep" right? Maybe this was a new idea in the 70's but it is destroying opera. It is just plain crap and sad for talented singers who deserve a better platform for their talents.
