  • I get goosebumps when she goes into "Bad-ass Ann" mode and gets all rough! Ahhhhhhh

  • @chuckkicks right on!!

  • The bass player was too poor & couldn't afford to buy a full shirt to cover his man boobs back then.

  • Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Heart and they're the best, but I laughed out loud at 5:25 ...it reminded me of that one kid in every christmas concert who tries to be the loudest

  • This already IS standing the test of time.Enjoy your electronic and rap when YOU'RE in your 50's

  • hall of fame vocals!

  • Comment removed

  • Well, it's a rather schizophrenic start on this great song. I think it's one of their better songs, and I'm a huge Heart fan. Love em.

  • I wish Ann was wearing Steve Fossen's shirt in this performance.

  • @yieldyieldyield hahaha right on, did you know ann later went on to have fling with bass player mark andes ?

  • Wow Very very SO Sexx!!y

  • Needs more close up time on Ann. I haven't seen anything like this look of hers anywhere other than this performance. The dress, collar, and hair and those faces she makes, puffing out her lips...

  • @Omniculler hell yes !

  • @Omniculler rright on!

  • The definitive version of this song. I've never heard a live version out-do the album by such grand extent.

  • Great post, but it needs more cowbell.

  • Unbelievable! Nobody sings like Ann!

  • And they say The Runways (Whore group) was the only girls that played electric guitar??? Bull!

  • @mojame100

The Go Go's was an all girl band, too.

  • @maxman1602

True, but nothing like Hart. Hart was about as Close to Zeppelin as you could get on some of there songs.

  • I'm thirteen, and this is way better than what my friends are listening to. Why can't someone do this today? I plan on it.

  • @brainseatpeople1 Then bless yourself with a good tase of music, and keep in mind that music from this era will allways be here to stay !! And I can assure you that within 20 years the crapp your friends listening to is not around annymore.

  • @brainseatpeople1 You are a wise person for being 13, and you are quite right.

  • No auto tuner there folks! What a voice and great tune!

  • nice song =)

  • The bassist really looks gay with that shirt. What is up with that? Who wants to see his nipples? Now id Ann and Nancy wore that shirt that would be awesome!

  • @celticwitan

Cocaine is a hell of a drug...?

  • haha i gotta say, does anybody else think that bassist's choice of wardrobe make him look like he's got boobs?

  • come on, take me or leave me alone...holy crap that girl can sing, and nancy plays the hell out of that guitar...the boys are pretty good, too...those were the days

  • Nothing takes care of my daily Heart fix like this song.

  • Awesome!

  • Very Skynard.....!! But great....!

  • What would the world do without Ann's voice and struting?

  • @luap1236 Edible is the word for the Wilson sisters. Well said.

  • I thought Led Zeppelin was already in the Hall of fame. Tee hee!

  • for my DADDY!

  • How true that statement is!!! Ann Wilson & Heart BELONG IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME..... IT IS NOTHING BUT A TRAVEST THAT THE ARE NOT IN YET!!!!

  • Love this performance. Steve Fossen will never live down this shirt, though.

  • @tattoofu ..you dont like it? I find it kinda sexy! lol

Just kidding it is pretty bad. =D

  • @tattoofu Steve was lookin a little breezy

    that day

  • I've listened to Heart since I was a little kid. My folks had all of their albums. Can't imagine growing up in the 70s without Heart blaring from my folks stereo full blast.

  • my favorite song from these wonderful ladies...I'm only 23 and I love Heart!!

  • @donnaholic1987

im only 17 and i love them!

  • @pennell13 You'vegr8 taste in gr8 rock talented. My 17 yr old is in your camp. Keep rockin' "li'l one". A<3

  • I'm gonna do something like this. I'm so sick of all this mainsream crap. I'm gonna revive rock after seeing this and the twelve year old rock Cherri Bomb.

  • Roger Fisher,,, so underrated.

  • "In the morning light, you didn't look so nice, guess you'd better hitchhike home! " LOL... harsh, Ann!

  • @Donniesmith1975

words that no woman ever wants to hear

  • @Donniesmith1975 Totally, dude. One of my favorite lines in all of Heart's songs-- just total harshness. :)

  • I seriously do not see how this song did not become a hit. A lot of heart fans say that they LOVED it! :(

  • Dammit man, take me back to '76 and put my in the middle of a wilson sandwich.

  • Damn I remember this. My aunt got me listening to them when I was young!

  • This is my husband's and I favorite LP to get busy with. Ann and Nancy, come back to Portland, OR!

  • MOST credible and skilled female members of any group, ever!

  • @MrFailWow thats exactly right!!! well said!!!! :))) <3

  • All of you... I love you and I appreciate your good taste. That is really all I can say today!

  • I bought Dreamboat Annie this afternoon, Sing Child and this song are my favorite !!! I'll be your song is really cool too. I love Ann's voice

  • Hey Alex your a cool kid...your on the right track.....you love the great music of the 60s and 70s and NOT the crap of today !!!! You cant go wrong kid!!!!!!!! Thank God there are kids like you around to know better!!!!!!!!

  • Hehe thanks! I am just obsessed with 70's rock n'roll. I bought "Rumours" by Fleetwood Mac yesterday :) But I was disappointed because in each cd store there was no "true" album. I wanted Little Queen by Heart and I never found it. There was only fucking "Best of " cd because everybody take music on Lime Wire and another shit like this. Why nobody respect the good artists? Damn the 2000's suck!! 2010 tommorow ..fuck. I wish I was born in 1960! ( I'm 15) sorry if my english's wrong.

  • Little Queen is a great album. I had it on vinyl a while ago. Rumours is another great album. I still have it on vinyl.

  • cool! my mother has Dog and Butterfly on vinyl at my grandparent's house :)

  • I didn't start listening to Heart until 2000, I am only thirty, what I did was bought a turntable from a 2nd hand shop, and bought the vinyls on e-bay, look into it, they go for cheap.

  • cool, I'm 15 lol

  • That's what's great about Heart, their music is timeless and ageless.

  • Exactly ! that's why Heart is one of my fav band

  • If you ever get a chance, check out Fleetwood Mac's live album "The Dance", some great live material there, notably the songs "Silver Springs" and "Sweet Girl". Also check out the album Dragonfly by Jefferson Starship. Just some classic picks there.

  • cool I'll ckeck this :)

  • Hey man I'm just listening to Ride the Tiger. That is so good !!! Devils Den too! Thanks A LOT ! Probably one of my next album hehe

  • Devil's Den is awesome, but check out Hyperdrive....

  • They weren't called the "Female Led Zepplin" for nothing. There won't ever be another group ::sisters::that can stand the test of time like they have.

  • my Lord i just Love that Voice... you are listening to a true Rock Goddess there..

  • the best rock singer ever

  • @yur1944 RIGHT ON

  • Ann Wilson had the ability to make everyone in the audience feel like she was singing directly to them.

  • roger slays man...........good stuff, love the early Anne voice too,,,,,,,she kills

  • What city and what station was this filmed at?

  • The two guys at the left & right of the stage are playing some brilliant guitar. Really cool improvisation in the bridge section.

  • Was that Grace Slick at 2:20?

Worst bass player outfit ever. EVER!

  • The wrong gender is wearing that top....

  • Back in the day Ann could make my teeth sweat.

  • Ann's voice was like a Formula 1 engine. Holy shit.

  • exactly ..or maybe a 6 cylinder Honda CBX with a

    Fast by Ferracci header

    Tom Loughlin Jr- Utica NY

  • @mediacritic hell yes it is !

  • Man I love this stuff!

  • i luv this song!!!!

  • oh lord ann and nancy are so hot! :o

  • these are like my favorite people ever :] great video!

  • fantastic group!!

    thank you

  • yes Very Fine Feelin' ......and vey enjoyable to watch along to

  • Strikes me that mostly pinheads comment on this stuff, which really disappoints me. But old Heart-freak that I am, no words can convey how greatful I am for videos like these, which really reel me back in time and even give me the opportunity to SEE better than I ever could at the shows! Wow. Seventh Heaven. Thanks to all who post these priceless gems!!! Thanks to Heart-ALL the former members, as well!! Cookin' with FIRE, baby!!!

  • Is it just my imagination or are Ann's hand claps at the beginning of this out of sync with the rest of the bands?

  • it's meant to be that way. It's like she's hitting the offbeats inbetween. I'm sure there's a more musical term for the beat she's generating there, but believe me, she's not out of sync, not accidentally anyway ;)

  • this is awsome, i hate it when kids these times say omg slash is god. i DONT THINK SO. JIMMY PAGE IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER. slash does not even appear on the rolling stones 100 greatest guitarists... LOL

  • finally someone who speaks the truth

  • It's 1976, but Nancy, with that strat, that swag, but yet still femmed and puffed sleeved up, is still (still) a revelation. Show me a chick now that's doing what she did, ya know, mainstream. *crickets* Yep.

Actually to hell with the femmed and the puffed, I'd take butched and boyed as well, but guess what, there STILL isn't a chick doing that in the mainstream in 09. Sayin..that's all.

  • I hear ya, suzylux, and her Chuck Berry guitar gallops and Rockette high kicks are the bomb ... and have we mentioned harmonies? Yet her greatest quality shows up here at 1:27. The cameraman is desperate to get a close-up isolation on Nancy when she spots him and quietly steps back out of the shot and turns her head slightly away as if to say, "This is Ann's song." Nancy is probably the most underrated live performer in rock and roll history ... I can't help thinking she's fine with that.

  • @suzylux

only ones who come close are Chrissy Hind of Pretenders and Deb Harry of Blondie- and neither are as good.

  • @suzylux

Well if you think about it they do act pretty femmed on stage, Most rock groups do. I think it looks better for woman.

  • @suzylux There is, they just haven't been discovered yet.

  • This is like buddah! I always loved this song. Rockin.

  • Amazing song and amazing Video!

    Heart Rocks!

  • Roger is a clone of jimmy page NOT slash

  • Roger even uses a bow in this set. On the song SING CHILD!!!!!! It"s awesome.

  • yea i saw that video that song is so beast I love anns flute solo!!

  • if you have seen nancy lately, she has aged very well.

  • The outfits are hilarious! The bass players shirt is ridiculous...and whats with those funky amps? Looks like a science fiction movie! Great band back then..all good musicians, and Ann Wilson's voice was awesome!

  • I promise in 20 years, everyone will be laughing about all the choppy hair and pregnant dresses women wear now. It's a guarantee.

  • ann wilsons voice IS awsome:))

  • man, Ann was sooooo hot and sexy back then. And still is the best singer today.

  • I agree.

  • my 5 sisters make more noise than this crowd. Greeeaatt song and love how they close it out.

  • An original 3-voice mini-moog synthesizer on a stand, LOL.

  • No one can do this today. they all have studios. this is the real thing! Luv it

  • Right on. Good video. I've had the hots for Ann Wilson since I was 8 years old! (When we got the Little Queen album). Ann is still hot....!

  • Don't wanna know ya, sure wanna show ya, never will forget I came! Great Line. Awesome song from one of the greatest classic rock albums of all time.

  • Rock classic Wilson Sisters hand down.

  • haha! the bassist's outfit is crazy! i mean cmon, if that was worn by a chick it wouldve been great... not with him!!! well as long as they play real good, he can wear whatever he likes. their led zep covers are out of this world! amazing!

  • seriously, the drummer's timing is a little bit... erm... loose on this track. still a great song though

  • Roger should have had the relationship with Ann. Band would have lasted longer and been better.

  • I think that's why his brother Mike left the band.

  • @Mikemaniax mike was sound guy, and he cheated on ann

  • and another thing to add when people say heart sucks i just laugh becuz i bet there favorite bands couldnt cover zeppelins songs to sound almost exactly alike i mean listen to there cover of stairway and black dog. they were truely amazing and no one realized it cuz they were hooked on metallica guns n roses lynard skynard and REM

  • Well, my favorite IS zeppelin, but Heart is good, Barracuda at Cal Jam II is awesome :)

  • its so sad how heart never got their thanks especially for Roger and his guitar work everyone was just dozed on guns n roses and lynard skynard just because they were loud and had the looks. i bet u guys any money that if you type in top 10 rock guitar solos guaranteed that lynard skynard's free bird solo or sweet child of mine's solo will be number 1 or 2 then in other numbers they'l hav bon jovie's dead or alive solo. Things never change in our society of music

  • i think this is a cover from angels white lighting and whine but its awsome!

  • Dustygrady, while yer talkin' about her weight, you should know that Ann was starvin' herself back in the '70's an' is startin' t'get control of her weight.

  • After watching this again, I have to say: Ann Wilson is the one of the finest rock singers (of ANY gender) I've ever seen, PERIOD. Her voice, her command, her delivery - the whole thing. Guys, I hope you can see beyond the physical beauty - this is exquisite all around.

  • Gender aside, it just doesn't freekin' matter, This whole band in their prime was just..... SOOOO good! Suze, Now of course I'm a bit biased, being from the area, but I've got friends that tell me about shows at a place called the Aquarius Tavern and seeing them even b4 "Dreamboat", man I tried to find some of that stuff for my Seattle slide shows but to no avail :( But still to me, this is as precious as it gets..... I'll continue with another cuz of the 500 character limit etc.

  • Anyway and just to continue, and I'm not trying to flame dustygrady for his "weight" comments but It's pretty easy to see who loves Heart for their music and who doesn't!!! :) And I'm not gonna "not" say that Ann's a beauty, but just get a grip some of ya, and have some more dignity?

  • I meant to say "not" a beauty, Heck, she's gorgeous, tried to get too fancy there.. :) Let me bow out now... yikes... :)

  • Ok Ok, I liked Annie too. I just wanted to idolize her in her later years but her condition made that nearly impossible

With a voice like hers Heart should have been near legendary. She was always the female Robert Plant of rock. But her band could never quite do her justice. They never could capitalize on her full potential

I was never a big Nancy fan either, with her squirming slithering "girls kick ass act". Having too much of a female element didn't necessarily make the band better.

  • glad to see you on my faves

    heart is rock

    vocals unparalled w/ any chics

catch ya on the next page

i think we talked on rush or ufo

  • OMG, Anne's screams here are just fuck*n insane!!! SOO on pitch and crazy!!! I almost like this version better than the studio cut!

  • Hi Doomer - indeed - unparalleled. So glad a guy appreciates this :0) You're the best.

  • grandioso

  • where can I download this concert dvd? thanks

  • she also sneaks a glance at him.

  • lol Roger helped out nancy at 0:31. crank it up, roger. he says something to her but i cant hear. :D

  • He then says "Thats better" dreamboat!

  • oh. haha. thanks. hey! i can actually give u a thumbs up on ur comment for once. XD

  • Only once? oh well,Thank you.

  • no, i mean this is the 1st time. i hope 2 give many more thumbs ups on ur comments XD.

  • Ann is the best singer I've ever heard and the most attractive woman I've ever seen.

  • Best Rock and Roll Voice ever no one (female) can match it not even stevie nicks

  • I Agree Completely

  • Excellent...Thank you so much for posting.

  • I definitely did listen to this many, many times with all my old chums while we were drinkin' back in the late 70's, early 80's, along with their other songs from the Dreamboat Annie album. They kicked butt in concert, too! (Saw the '79 tour)

  • Incredible voice! So powerful!!

  • thEsE classic HEART MASTERPIECES LIKE ALL OF 'LITTLE QUEEN' IS PROBABLY MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ROCK.ANNE GIVES ME GOOSEBUMPS!!I'D RUN HOME FROM SCHOOL AND LAY IN FRONT OF THE CRANKED SPEAKERS.THESE GIRLS WERE DOIN IT ON THE LED ZEP LEVEL. • RIght on iflookscouldkill87. My thoughts EXACTLY!!!

  • I've been in love with Ann Effin Wilson since I was 12. Love you miss Ann!!!!

  • amazing! ann wilson roxxx my world!

  • I remember in 8th grade my history teacher used to play Heart all the time and I fell in love with em. Great group.

  • ann's voice is like a force of nature...if God is a woman than the voice of God is Ann Wilson :P

  • Very well said!!

  • lol so true!!!!

  • wow what a stupid kiss ass comment

  • Roger could shred a guitar; Nancy was an acoustic virtuoso, and a great singer. They were all great, but it must have been rough, always being in the wake of the overwhelming power and expression of the mighty, all conquering Anne.

You have to listen. You have to watch.

    She is amazing.

I idolized her in 1976, too... when I was a teenaged schoolboy.
