The way they are partnered together in the character selection screen shows Toad and Koopa Troopa as partners which kinda throws her out of the picture I guess. Space themes is shown all over the place, indicating that it could be Rosalina or maybe a Luma. DK has not been shown yet meaning it could be him too (That would be awesome), but the box art shows Kamek which could mean Kamek is Shy Guy's partner who is also an unlockable character.

I mean I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to this game and you got to give it some respect. Koopa and Shy Guy as playable characters? Really? Shy Guy I can tolerate, but KOOPA TROOPA?!?! Why not just have characters like Goomba in? -_- Also, not having Toadette and Dry Bones in is inexcusable. They better have them as unlockable characters or else.

Aside from that, the game looks amazing. The minigames look fricking awesome! :DDDDD

@Wiintendoh I am upset about Dry Bones as well, but you realize that he and Koopa Troopa are essentially the same thing, right? Just one is cooler looking.

And Koopa Troopa has been playable since forever in games like Super Mario Kart on SNES, so I don't know why this is that outrageous.

@moldyclay In my mind, K.T. and D.B. are two totally different charaters. Yes, I know, fundamentally they kind of go hand in hand, but DB imo is way more a unique, dazzling character.

Mario Kart Wii, Super Sluggers, etc had KT. And I'm totally fine with that considering those are fleshed out games that require them, and conversely, Mario Party's PLC's have more individuality, and don't really need them IMO.

I'd like to see each board with its own unique set of rules, but I'd also like to be given the option to play each board with classic MP1, 2, and 3 rules as well. I really want Duel boards to come back, too.

@mariofana Well, he was going to be in it before even knowing there would be a MP9 since he came along since MP3 being one of the first newcomers.

With him not appearing in Mario Kart 7 could be said for the Newcomers but also because of the Developer for the MP9 having him suited for the game like the rest.

Even though few got removed since they really got the important ones for MP9.

I really hope that, if classic mode is in the game, it's by no means the focus. I want Mario Party 9 to be a reinvention of the series, not just another mission pack. Put a new classic-style game on the 3DS or something. Let the series branch off in two directions.

I think the car is optional cause I've seen them move around seperatly as well. Also the Mini-Games look so much fun. Reminds me of Mario Party 4 and 5! Koopa Troopa will be my character for sure!

@ShadowZone1996 Them moving separately (at least from the pictures I've seen) appears to be just something similar to the Captain Events shown above. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they are.

Great, another gimick in mario party. I like nintendo, but mario party haven't been good since 5. I know nintendo are trying something new and I respect them for doing that when other developers don't but Nintendo just need to make a mario party game like the first 3.

Wooooow...and to think I THOUGHT I lost interest in MARIO PARTY...I'm once again intrigued... Not only that but the minigames look fresh and brand new! Plus they've finally added my second favorite character species, SHY GUYS...AND KOOPAS are finally playable instead of being on the sidelines! The car thing however...I'm perplexed, I just hope that we still have boards that don't require a car at all. Or is it possible the car's gonna be part of the story instead of multiplayer?

And whoever is next moves from that position. Wouldn't matter if you're together or seperate, together makes sense since every1 will be in each game, and most stars wins.
