why did you mod a a saw that was only in production for 2 months my stock all original 601 will kick that things ass its not all about power its about how sharp the chain is and 56cc is more than good on that saw

@besman007 The shee needs some work stomp the 450s. It will keep up really well with bolt ons though. I have an 06 blue with just about every bolt on available. It runs like a striped ass ape. I love it.

I bought a new 601 in 1969, it was the best saw of the time, a 08 SUPER STIHL was a very good saw, it didn't handel as good. I payed 1 $165.00 foor the 601.
The saw was purchased with that pipe. It was hand made by somebody. The saw was purchased from a saw shop going out of business, we don't know the history of it.

LOL, this saw turns something like 20K RPM. We have 3 920's and a 2186 in the collection, no 4' bars as there isn't any wood like that in MN.

The saw was purchased with that pipe. It was hand made by somebody. The saw was purchased from a saw shop going out of business, we don't know the history of it.
