And, I'm glad to hear you want this guy off the streets and have a proper view of balancing Civil Liberties with getting monsters off the street. But the fact remains that Vermont is a VERY liberal state and has moved very far to the Left over the last generation. That's fine with me; it's the choice of Vermont voters. But don't expect me to like it, or to refrain from pointing out the damage you've done to your own State (i.e. your outdated liberal views on law enforcement).

My beef is with those intellectuals that appear to be more concerned about ideology/principles than the actual effects their theories (put into practice) have on the street.

I'm all for civil liberties, but there must be a balance. Cases like this are one reason why citizens are so cynical about our "justice" system.
