  • Nurburgring and Nurburgring Nordschleife are two different layouts. This is the layout they used to race Formula One on.

  • This car is a engineering marvel. Time for others to rip it apart and copy the technology. Mind you the dual clutch mechanism of the Nissan GTR is blatantly copied by everyone and even advertised ! Yikes.

  • An engine note to die for, an exhaust note to pop wood over, and excellent chassis dynamics to make a grown man cry. Too bad its stuck in that body. I think Lexus really went the distance nailing that V10 to perfection, then skimped out on the body completely. Oh well, in any case its an engineering marvel.

  • @jlgroovetek I think they designed the LFA that way to have a 'manual' feel to the upshift so as to encompass that feel of traditional shifting and not to have it 'feeling' too computerized...

    The Lfa is awesome even if i don't have Toyota in my heart.

  • @JSVETTEZ06 WHy in the hell would you put a regular manual in these cars? These cars are way too fast to be dicking with gearboxes. Besides, a sequential manual gearbox will always be faster than a regular manual and will preserve the gearbox a hell of a lot longer.......hence why Team Corvette Racing in ALMS uses sequential manual gearboxes.

  • @turbominivan60 Nah it's the way of building a real super sport car. No half ass-ing like with the corvette. It's easy to take a car, dump a engine in it and have it doing the quarter in 11 seconds... VERY EASY. The LF-A is so much more then an engine and a body. All materials are the highest quality and with the 500 limit, it's way more original than the mass-produced covette. Face it, Lexus tried it's luck to see if they could and they did. Their next gen will be less costly.

  • @racingisfun The corvette ZR1... At just over 105k new, I would kind of hope that it was built by hand XD. The first car that had a h.u.d was an Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 1988. Anyway, check the interior of the GTR and the interior of the vette... And also, it has 153 hp and 174 more torque... kinda normal it's faster hehe.

New times the vette at 7:22s vs gtr at 7:26 not to say that either are way faster than the other just saying that with technology of a gtr vs brute leaf springs is pretty impressive. On the other hand when vette begins to make a vette with out leafs it'll totally be in a new ball game. I would assume atleast 10seconds faster with out leaf springs.

So much for your love and heart americans put into their products. Look, the ZR1 is fast no doubt, but its not a quality built car, it simply a juiced up corvette that costs $100+k. What they did with the LFA has been almost 10 years in the making, thats heart and love for engineering, the zr1 was put together in 2 weeks? Impressive

Lets be realistic, neither of us has the money to buy the ZR1, and if we did, wouldnt you want your car to be quality made, seems like you wouldnt, they should use you as a lab rat to see how durable the car is once crashed.   • @xtrajently When the LFA took on the nurburgring there was traffic on it, when the ZR1 took on it, it was totally empty allowing for a similar time, to you it might not mean much sitting behind the comp, but in reality thats at least 10 secs off the rec taken off.

  • @babyz3us Then just to maintain the lambo in its lifetime * thats if you don't wrap it around a tree or blow the engine * will get you close to the price range .All i can say is that when Toyota build a engine and car its a great piece of machine . Take for example the car lambos and most exotics fear when boosted to 20psi or higher , the Toyota supra . the car is well over 12 years old and you can push 700hp on stock internals and bottom end . toyota has proven worthy for reliability for years

  • All this rambling about what cars beat what... what people are failing to realize is that for the cost of a GTR, a stock C6 can be modified to keep with it- and as for the LFA, well, such cars arent about the numbers- $150k will build you a racecar from hell... but the LFA is for one thing: to simply say, "I have one of these... and guess what?! you dont..."

  • Toyota won lemans with a GT1 car, toyota has competed in Formula 1. Nissan and Chevy can't say that... This car is like the Japanese Buggati, its a symbol or milestone of engineering, its really not meant to be attainable by car guys arguing on youtube.
