Well CTTBA, I hope you are wrong with your conspiracy views. However, I competely agree that people need to be concerned about the national debt whenever they hear less taxes and more spending (including wars).
Romney's $1 trillion tax cut proposal should be great, since we're already $9.13 trillion in debt. What difference would another trillion make?

TRUTH: In 2003, Romney stunned a roomful of Bay State congressmen by telling them that he would not publicly support Bush's tax cuts, which at the time formed the centerpiece of the president's domestic agenda.
He even said he was open to a federal gas tax hike.
Romney is a very sharp guy. But workers, self employed, and anyone who makes "ordinary income" should wake up. Gov Romney doesnt want any taxes on cap gains, dividends, or unearned income. That means only earned income - work - would pay taxes. Right now workers and earned income pay up to 300% higher taxes -- and if Romney had his way, this luney ratio would even be worse.
