@MrSeansturgis Yeah, I agree it wasn't a big day. I wanted to show people what they can normally expect. Thanks for the tip on the tube shots. I'll try that next time I'm there (hopefully on a big day!)
it has claimed at least 10 lives in 20 years if not more, people handle the wedge during tornados. its basically a huge sandbar followed by VERY shallow bottom
all these waves that people are surfing look small to me now after watching a video about a guy surfing a tsunami or 150ft wave al i can say is OMFG!!!!!!!!!!
nice vid guyes hey im heading over to newport from the 18th to the 27th of august is this a good time to score wedge and do you no any places that are cheap to stay close to the wedge becasue i wont have a car to drive there or a place that can get you there via short bus ride
Sounds fun! The quality of the waves depends on the storms down in Baja. Keep an eye on the Pacific storms when you're here. Stay at Balboa Inn, which is pretty close. Good surfing spots are also at Trestles in San Clemente, and San Onofre. Huntington Beach is also pretty good. Thanks!!! Veronica
I'm hooked on this place. We want to go back when the waves are huge. It looks like so much fun, but I'd surely have several broken bones after the first wave. Ah well, it's fun to watch!
@SuperShaka222 Just that June gloom I guess. :)

I really like this kind of music. Does anybody know the name of the song?
aridclimate 3 months ago
@aridclimate It's a little jingle from iMovie called Progressive House. :)

@aridclimate the genre could be considered DnB

this isnt even big @ the wedge. i go there all the time and this is a normal swell...
p.s. try shooting from the right (the other side) gets alot better shots with faces and tubes in the shot

@CAinfowarrior Yes — it's certainly dangerous. I'd never dare go out there. But it's fun to watch. By the way, what do you mean about tornadoes?
CaliforniaTravelTips 1 year ago
@CaliforniaTravelTips LOL, you know california tornados: el nino hurricanes. hmm, must have had too much sun when i said tornados.
CAinfowarrior 1 year ago
@CAinfowarrior Too funny. Actually I've heard some small types of tornadoes roll through Cali sometimes, but they are not like the Midwest. :)
