  • and don't forget to pay for the design. and stop looking for excuses why you should not pay the price of specific ad.

  • Wow, I wish I saw this video before attending university. If could have saved myself 4 years and a lot of money. Who knew my entire profession could be distilled into only 43 seconds? Forget color theory, all I need to be successful is delete Comic Sans from my font folder.

    Thanks, John!

  • Just set a Wedding Invitation under instructions from the client to use Comic Sans, laughed all the way through,

really looked shit, client loved it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.............and the wedding guests, and the bride and the groom....lol

  • This is Crucial for everyone to know. Good Job! John Stossel

  • Make the logo bigger! Can you try it with more design!

  • Make the ABC logo BIGGER!

  • @LaylaMistress. Zapfino is a really good font on the right occasion

  • Papyrus isn't terrible when used in the right context. The problem is that that context only includes about 20% of the time it's used.

    For Comic Sans, it's still 0%. :)

  • I use comic sans everywhere just to piss off over sensitive, OCD-ish, anti-comic sans people.

  • What are you talking about?

He used Papyrus as the subtitles.

  • Thank you! All too often do I see Comic Sans! It has got to be the WORST font in the world! And this is even worse: My dad is a sheriff's deputy, he works with technology all the time to track records etc. And you would not believe the font they use for this very professional database- Comic Sans! What the hell!? As comments below have stated, Comic Sans is a graphic designer's worst enemy.

It makes everything look like it's a joke.

  • Comic sans? What about Arial!!! its worse than Helvetica

  • @williambrodie huh? Helvetica is considered one of the most established and best fonts in modern history o0 whatcha on about o0

  • @TokyoZeplin Ever heard the expresssion "anything but helvetica"...

Its known as "The hallmark of an amatuer or an old designer stuck in his 1970's ways"

I don't want to argue about it or offend you.

"It shows no thought or effort went into picking the perfect font" - like maybe Univers, DIN, Transit - there are 100s of Gretesk style typefaces that better suit most uses.

"Helvetica is like McDonalds, people eat it because its just there so they dont have to think about food"

  • @williambrodie now your talking about overuse. Before you were talking about bad fonts. Not the same thing. Is Helvetica overused? Yes, to some degree it is. Is it a bad font in and by itself? No.

  • @williambrodie I cannot agree with you. Arial narrow is a great standard MS office font to put in your CV. It helps you a lot at saving space.

I love helvetica, but I feel like a hipster when I use it.

  • comic sans is the best font in the world, you know shit

  • As a parent with a child in daycare, I have never seen so much Comic Sans and Papyrus in my life. It makes me so angry. You don't have to be a graphic designer to realise that there's more than these two fonts that can be used.

  • I really hate that typography...

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    Comic Sans GET AWAY, AWAY!!!

  • Ahh, Comic Sans, the graphic designers arch-enemy.

  • @BenWmsOnline Dunn Dunn Dunnnnnn

  • haha comic sans will haunt me till i die or lose my mind

  • don't forget papyrus!!!

  • And Mistral too!

  • @ohwerdna uhhh papyrus makes me skin crawl and boil when I layeth me eyes upon it!

  • James Cameron used Papyrus in Avatar :S

  • @mishl7 hardly the exact same font :S

  • @TokyoZeplin What are you talking about?

He used Papyrus as the subtitles.

  • @mishl7 huh? What subtitles? o0 Might add, I watched it while living in Japan, so it might be a different font thing if its an in-movie thing going on.

  • @TokyoZeplin What subtitles?! When Jake Sully is first taken to the tribe.

Please research something before you post talking about it cos I'm not here to put the dots together for you. Even wikipedia could have solved this for you if you had searched 'papyrus typeface'.

  • @mishl7 asI said, I watched it in Japan, hence all forms of subtitles were japanese, that included when they spoke their navi language. Papyrus was not used. You could simply have been more spesific first :S

  • @TokyoZeplin Saying "James Cameron used Papyrus in Avatar" is quite to the point. I think you thought I meant the title type (maybe only if I had said James Cameron used Papyrus ON or FOR Avatar) which means yeah u didn't look into it properly before commenting on something that you thought you knew :) Just next time the polite thing to do wouldn't be to say "hardly the exact same" as it comes across as condescending when you didn't actually know.

  • @ohwerdna don't forget Mistral, Zapfino and Black Cancery too!!! (ARGH!) :)

  • @ohwerdna Papyrus isn't a patch on the horrible saccharin falseness conveyed by CS

  • Stossel rules

  • It's all true!

  • rofl!!!!

  • nice. :3
