What if your opponent serves and volleys? It's unnerving to look up see someone immediately at the net. You know you're in trouble if you don't thread the needle down the line or sharp accross court, or if your return is just a little too high over the net.
dude with the single handed back hand is fucking sick, i chose the single handed backhand over the double handed not because it felt natural, but because i thought it looked a lot more cooler and sexier, lol, and now i have fucking amazing backhand
Hey intosport!!! I think u guys need to show the viewers my fave serve, the reverse serve or reverse twist serve....THUMBS TO GET THIS NOTICED BY THEM SO U CAN LEARN THIS SERVE
@broady135 That only means they're being careful and controlling their pace. Or they may be beginners. Some people unwillingly add spin and hits balls out.
@YyJoBb height doesn't really matter, i'm short and i play just fine, if you think height is everything in tennis you're very wrong, there are many ways to get over the obstacle of being short in tennis
my practice buddy hits his first serve at like 120-130 mph, no joke lol.. i just accept the ace when he gets those in.... i won't deny that at all considering he dominates most college players
I always move a few feet behind the baseline when returning a first serve because it gives you a lot more time to prepare and you can hit harder without over hitting while putting more spin on the ball. If the first serve is weak then you can always move in; better to be a bit farther back than to be too close and hitting the ball up in the air or into the net.
right... i do that too. it really gives you time to at least choose the right angle and grip to hit the ball. especially when the server is a hard hitter. :)
@queenofcourt i have some tips and drills what can help you or anyone with this, i can't post it on here as there are too many characters if anyone would want me to make a video please say but if not add me as a friend and i will send you the drills and tips from there :)
everyone says keep ur knees bent for balance, but i rarely see it, especially on a service return. even the example in this vid, the guy did a one handed backhand, and straightened his knee as he hit. i kno its hard to keep it bent cuz naturally u wanna straighten it out, especially against a fast serve, or if the ball is really high.

Killawolf95 4 months ago
@Killawolf95 NO theyre different! topspin only has topspin but kick has a bit of side spin as well as topspin.

you find the ball with your hands and not your knees or feet.

@millionairejh
Thing is, bending your knees is not dramatic. It is only a bit.
second, you're supposed to straighten your knees during the shot. That is what makes topspin
