thanks groovysongs for your comment that they sometimes called themselves Murtceps, I wondered if I'd imagined that. I heard it was in order to play at smaller venues that couldnt afford to book Spectrum. having a bit of a trawl through my past, thanks for this one

After Spectrum, Rudd & Putt went on to form Ariel, A Strange Fantastic Dream & Rock & Roll Scars, are just truly incredible albums, completely different in every way. Scars featured some of the finest & inventive guitar solos ive ever heard, played by Harvey James, who went on to join Sherbet ( it is he who played that great solo on Howzat). Both these albums are available on remastered CD.Once described by the great John Peel as " the best thing out of Australia since Ronald Biggs!!!
