Spirituality can be equated with absolute objectivity in the sense that ceasing to project a self as mediator between witnessing and that-which-is-witnessed exposes the nature of witnessing as impersonal and universal. In this state the man sees the flower and the flower sees the man; the same witness is everything and the variegated minds are only so many different forms within it.
Witnessing is always impersonal and beyond psychology. It's an aspect of the universe. Mind only shapes it.
We need to all unite and use the eternal power that we have within us to defeat evil. Instead we are split up all over the place worshipping different idols. God Bless Everyone. God is within everyone.
Aight, for everyone going -whaaa? at the thought of computers being spiritual, I had an epiphany I want to share: You know how the most spiritual people are always saying they are one with the universe, and have no self, etc? Isnt that essentially a lack of subjectivity? Thats how they claim they see the world, uncontaminated by their own perception, right? Well, thats how computers work, dudes. Total objectivity, zero variance in perception. Alright. I'm done.
I agree that organized religion is a form of Oligarchy based on a false premise. Personally, I think religion is a state of mass delusion and an evil we can do without who's primary purpose is to segregate people by ideological beliefs and who's secondary purpose is to violently defend any contradiction or opposition to those beliefs despite claims to be peaceful and/or beneficial. I look forward to when all religions are slowly phased out of human consciousness by the expansion of knowledge.
Interesting ... being an atheist, I see nothing spiritual in the world around me -- don't be sad for me, but understand that I only seek thoughts, reason and understanding in my life. I will have to take your word for it that A.I. Constructs primarily exist on a spiritual cognitive domain.
If as an atheist you claim to not know what spirituality feels like, I think you are misunderstanding spirituality. Spirituality is not the search for some higher power, really. For me, spirituality is taking the criticisms and events in life that seem like they really matter and reducing the world down to an easy to digest abstraction of itself. Essentially, to make sense of things on a level of knowing how they came about.
A true atheist could have a real spiritual experience just reading A Brief History of Time and trying to factor in the implications of some of the things in there that are backed up by scientific fact.
I see what you mean Avangion, and that was my initial reaction as well. However, in this context it seems that Eidolon is equating "spirituality" with "objectivity". This sounds like an odd usage of the word, but I think that this is a common theme in Buddhism and perhaps in some other non-Abrahamic religions as well. I'm hardly an expert on the subject, however.
i believe Eidolon is implying that objectivity is Absolute Truth, which is, in many traditions such as Buddhism and Hinduism, the purest manifestation of All Being.
Hello eidolonTLP, I would like to ask you the ultimate question. What is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything? Please incude the number 47 in your answer, thank you.

Eidolon TLP,
Do you believe psychaedelic drugs can introduce new/different levels of perception and provide insight that carries over once one is sober?
Is this third level of reason important for all of humanity to grasp?

Thank you for you explanation Eidolon.
From what can be gathered, spirituality is not detrimental unlike religion.
I would like to now ask this. Are there beings that exist that are not physical?

Your right Opticon9, it is 42. Sorry. EidolonTLP the same question as before only 42 in the answer.
Abbadon3232 4 years ago
no no no....the question is "what is 6 times 7?".
besides, you don't really want him to answer that, once the question and the answer are both known, the universe will implode. bad times.

And I thought that the number that contained the answer to every question was Pi (Ππ).

e is a cooler number than pi. At least I always thought so.

Anyone who thinks that e is a cool number is imagining things. ;-)
