  • Actually, Obama is technically white. Go ask anyone who works at the Department of HUman Services. On the birth certificate, the race of the child is listed as that of the mother. Soooooooo, Obama is WHITE!!!!!

  • isamericareadyforablackpresident(.)com post your thoughts on the message board!

  • By "America" I take it you really mean, "RACIST WHITES (in America).

That said, the question s/b: Are RACIST WHITES (in America) ready to let go of their BIGOTRY? Have WHITE PRESIDENTS really done that great of a job?

Was America ready for SLAVERY TO END? It happened anyway!

Was America ready for BLACKS TO VOTE? It happened anyway!

Was America ready for SEGREGATION? It happened anyway!

RACIST WHITES (in America) need to GET OVER THEMSELVES!!!

  • It don`t matter what colour your president is , as long as he looks after your country , and stops starting wars.

  • Long Live Independence

  • Great Documentary! Congratulations!

No one knows if he is going to be elected, but he's already changed America now.

  • Barack Black Power! President Obama does not need whites support! They're destined for extinction anyway!

  • Barack Black Power

  • Thanks to everyone for their positive and helpful comments. I used to teach school, and this info was never in the curriculum, and it always bothered me so much. Even in college and high school, the subject of race was skirted over. I think it is a travesty!

Like I have always said, what matters is in the heart, not skin color. People are so blind to it all. I just watched the movie, "Crash" and boy was it a wake up call. Everyone should see it. GO OBAMA! Save us all from ignorance!

  • Thank you MsMcCloud.... good work.

  • very good job at getting the people's voices!

  • So true! There is good and bad in all races! Sen. Obama has me more "FIRED UP" than I've ever been EVER about politics! This comes from a 35 yr old typical white guy. I feel we're more than ready for a intelligent, articulate, person to lead this country... so what that it just so happens his skin color is a bit darker than mine. I judge the content of his character, not by the color of his skin! Thanks for posting this, God Bless you and yours. OBAMA 08'

  • BTW...your aunt is a sweetheart!

  • I am a white female and I love people of all nationalities and ethnicities. I have had friends from all over the world during my college days. I see a person, not their color. I have Irish, Swedish, American Indian, and African American in my bloodline. It does not define who I am as a person. However, I am considered "white" based upon what I look like. When Obama is half black and half white, why do folks automatically call him black? Why is this true for so many others?

  • blondie, I read somewhere that if your father is *let's say west indian* and your mom is caucasian, you are automatically considered as a West Indian, but, most specifically you're biracial. I think this started in America when caucasian men would have children with african american women (when it wasn't "normal") & so those kids would be looked at by their skin color and treated as a regular african american person.

America is a country established on looks & we just need to accept people.

  • To StrawberriesHK: Right, right...I was just curious. Too bad people can't accept others just for who they are, isn't it?????

    God bless!

  • To answer your question... It is just a carry from slavery times. For so many years in this country, if you had any African in you, then you were considered black and were a slave. They even had even had different work environment setup for different degrees of African blood. Such field work for dark skinned (more african blood) and in house maloto or lighter skinned people. When slavery was abolished no one changed there view point.

  • Part 2 of my response. Even years and years after slavery, if you were found to have any african blood then you were excluded from white areas. They only place you could really live, work or go to school is with black people. This still goes on today in 2008 to some extent...

  • don't judge my aunt too harshly--she's older but hides her age well. I left her comment in because lots of blacks think that way--don't ask me where they get the idea because I'm not that old. Slavery has been abolished but it's after affects are seen everyday. Open your eyes, wake up, vote Obama.

  • MsMcCloud:

You keep up your work, honey! Go Obama!

  • Some time when she's not looking, you should check the Aunt's wrists and ankles for a leather strap where the chains should go. I didn't see a collar on the neck so they're not there. Last I checked, in 2008, WE'RE ALL FREE; dare to remove the self-limiting thoughts from the mind and set it free too. Have a little audacity.
