i had an xbox 360 i sold it for ps3 , big regret. i am a sony fan because of ps2 and stuff but seriously ps3 online is nothing compared to the xbox live experience, yes you pay £5 a month but what is that really , you get more in the long term cuz that 5 pound goes towards a better xbox live experience which is why i am going in a couple of weeks back to xbox, ps3 does have its ups though with its high quality blue ray but in terms of graphics you have to look CLOSELY to see a difference

Update is for every console...If you get the elite or pro the update is automatically going to be downloaded...If you get the arcade you need to get on xbox live to download it.....i have a arcade and it had the old dashboard when i got it for my birthday; i got on live an it let me download the new dashboard..I got a hard drive now...

I need help when you go to game library on the dashboard and i was playing cod4 in the game library it says install to harddrive what does that mean???
It means you can install the game to your hardrive to run smother cut back on loading times, and if you have scratches it may precvent freezing! You still need the disk in the tray i belive to play it (I barley know about xbox so give me a break if this is wrong)
When u install a game to hard-drive, then your X360 loading times are going to be shorter and your X360 is not so loud as usual. Hope u understand what i mean =)

buy one of the dynamic themes, the LBP or heavy rain one, you'll love it. the XMB is quick and fast, the best thing about it. I own both systems, NXE is nice, but xmb is much faster to navigate.
I think the NXE has a good look and the XMB has speed, but personally I don't like both. Its true the XMB is best suited for the PSP. PS3 is starting to add clunk into the xmb, "what's new", the ticker on the top is now ad supported. NXE is also full of ads, worst thing about both the ads are spread out everywhere. Which do you like?

The Xbox sucks, it isn't near half the system that the Wii is. All yoy Xbots have is your stupid halo games and your faulty consoles. Too bad you don't have a real system like the Wii or Dreamcast. Graphic, are exactly the same, 1080p Is the highest you can get on any TV on the market and both systems support that. Life span is the only problem xbox may have but the error that causes its chance of failure to be so high is an Hardware Failer Error (RROD) which is mostly caused by the user. If you leave the console standing up in the middle of a room it will not get RROD unless you have it for excessive play. The longer your system last depends on the situation the user puts the console in
wow @ the fanboyism here, PS3 has better exclusives coming and that are already out, thats a fact. 360 has SOME better multiplats and some nice RPG's that are coming to PS3 (star ocean). Both are good, but PS3 is more reliable and has better games imo. i had an xbox 360 i sold it for ps3 , big regret. i am a sony fan because of ps2 and stuff but seriously ps3 online is nothing compared to the xbox live experience, yes you pay £5 a month but what is that really , you get more in the long term cuz that 5 pound goes towards a better xbox live experience which is why i am going in a couple of weeks back to xbox, ps3 does have its ups though with its high quality blue ray but in terms of graphics you have to look CLOSELY to see a difference

Update is for every console...If you get the elite or pro the update is automatically going to be downloaded...If you get the arcade you need to get on xbox live to download it.....i have a arcade and it had the old dashboard when i got it for my birthday; i got on live an it let me download the new dashboard..I got a hard drive now...

It means you can install the game to your hardrive to run smother cut back on loading times, and if you have scratches it may precvent freezing! You still need the disk in the tray i belive to play it (I barley know about xbox so give me a break if this is wrong)

@DarkMerchant2222 Right, as I mentioned, but the way the gui of the xmb works, the user interface does not pull together all the features of the PS3 together in a cohesive fashion. Check this, I am a PS3 owner and I am not a 360 owner, but with what I am seeing, Microsoft has said, "we may not have blu-ray and we may not have as many Triple-A first party exclusives, but we still have killer hardware and we are going to make it as appealing as possible to attract customers."

The XMB is perfect for the PSP, but with a console as powerful as the PS3, icons rendered in High-Def is not what I want to see in my home theatre. I want to see a New Playstation experience. The XMB is already more than 6 years old. Time for a change. Time for something new.

buy one of the dynamic themes, the LBP or heavy rain one, you'll love it. the XMB is quick and fast, the best thing about it. I own both systems, NXE is nice, but xmb is much faster to navigate.

I think the NXE has a good look and the XMB has speed, but personally I don't like both. Its true the XMB is best suited for the PSP. PS3 is starting to add clunk into the xmb, "what's new", the ticker on the top is now ad supported. NXE is also full of ads, worst thing about both the ads are spread out everywhere. Which do you like?

I also say that I agree with you in that both aren't what they could be. One is good looking and slow. One is fast but just really plain. I mean with me it's sort of like graphics versus gameplay. Developers are like "oh yeah it runs sub hd because we want a nice framerate" Umm, Gee guys, I thought that was the whole point of upgrading to a next gen console...

The Xbox sucks, it isn't near half the system that the Wii is. All yoy Xbots have is your stupid halo games and your faulty consoles. Too bad you don't have a real system like the Wii or Dreamcast. Graphic, are exactly the same, 1080p Is the highest you can get on any TV on the market and both systems support that. Life span is the only problem xbox may have but the error that causes its chance of failure to be so high is an Hardware Failer Error (RROD) which is mostly caused by the user. If you leave the console standing up in the middle of a room it will not get RROD unless you have it for excessive play. The longer your system last depends on the situation the user puts the console in

wow @ the fanboyism here, PS3 has better exclusives coming and that are already out, thats a fact. 360 has SOME better multiplats and some nice RPG's that are coming to PS3 (star ocean). Both are good, but PS3 is more reliable and has better games imo. Now i own both, so im no fanboy of either, i would admit that im a old school sega fan but they have lost their edge they once had back in day when games were FUN. ppl who say one console is better is becos they only own that one. bring back sega!
