I'm an atheist. I could care less who people marry, not my problem, lol, whatever floats their boat. Also being a transsexual is a physiological condition, the only way to "cure" that person would be to physically alter their brain to match that of their birth gender, which would involve a surgery that would almost guarantee death on the patients part. Studies have in fact been done on their brains, and they are closer structurally to that of a female brain and far from male.

@PhysiologicAli In my Human Sexuality class, we watched a documentary on a person who went from being a male to a female back to a male. The person didn't go through the advised treatment for someone who wants to have a sex change, but that wasn't the only reason he decided to get a 2nd sex reassignment. It's different for everyone, but in the case of this guy (Josef), he was intersexed which caused much of this confusion.

What they're going through isn't really any more traumatic than if their parents were to go through a divorce. Then there people who have chromosomes mosaics, which means they have both sets of sex chromosomes in their body. They may have xy chromosomes in their blood, and xx chromosomes in their organs, and vice-versa. Many of these people have no genital defects and don't know they have chromosomes mosaics.
