Americans have made a significant come back in the auto industry. If you asked me to pick between a Japanese or an American product, I would have picked a Japanese in the 90's and 00's. If you asked me the same question now, my answer would be an American.

Looks awesome!! I'm enjoying the he'll outta my cts sedan. The coupe would be great for a single person who wants lots of luxury. I prefer the sedan 'cause folks always want to ride with me :)
I think it's freakin' awesome. I love angular, euro-esque designs- just like when the first CTS came out. That, and I've always been accepting of, and a big fan of, fast hatches. And as for the sedan, the coupe is a CTS for the even younger Caddy appreciator that doesn't want to be seen as an "old man".
This isn't euro-esque at all (I'd say euro is more curvey). In fact when my euro self first started paying attention to these Cadillac designs I thought they looked ridiculous and had the same sort of reaction Jeremy Clarkson has (apparently they design cars with a ruler there). But the CTS-V and this one have really grown on me and I now respect them a lot. And to be honest they look exciting! I'd still take an Audi or the new Jags over them though ;)
In person the Genisis coupe looks extremely cheap. The paint is flat and the interior is full of plastic. I haven't seen the CTS coupe yet so I can't say anything about it

I own an 09 CTS 4 door in right hand drive and I think its a really sharp looking car. This coupe though..... just doesn't look right somehow, but I can't put my finger on it.
Its a great car but the styling is 1/10... It looks so much better if it is sedean isntead of a coupe... Same with BMW M6.. its just ugly compared to an M5 :)

I've learned that you can't really judge the looks of
car by watching it online or tv. The looks sometime don't transfer over well. 1st hand is the only way. I like this design kinda like a lilttle bit of that old funky retro Cadi style.
When it comes to designing a sports car, you generally want a lower stance, and your tires and wheels to fill the gaps and give the car a muscular look. The rear end of this cars side profile looks like a Prius. In fact it's almost shaped like one too, just looks different. I don't like it at all. And for a luxury sports car, or a luxury car for that matter the CTS does not compete with the Germans with interior design and refinement.
Yea but do they slant down to one side? Look at the way it is positioned at 0:54, it is at an angle where one side is down and the other side is up. I don't see a benefit in that.
The sedan is nice but the coupe...just ugly.

Its a great car but the styling is 1/10... It looks so much better if it is sedean isntead of a coupe... Same with BMW M6.. its just ugly compared to an M5 :)

I've learned that you can't really judge the looks of
car by watching it online or tv. The looks sometime don't transfer over well. 1st hand is the only way. I like this design kinda like a lilttle bit of that old funky retro Cadi style.

When it comes to designing a sports car, you generally want a lower stance, and your tires and wheels to fill the gaps and give the car a muscular look. The rear end of this cars side profile looks like a Prius. In fact it's almost shaped like one too, just looks different. I don't like it at all. And for a luxury sports car, or a luxury car for that matter the CTS does not compete with the Germans with interior design and refinement.

Yea but do they slant down to one side? Look at the way it is positioned at 0:54, it is at an angle where one side is down and the other side is up. I don't see a benefit in that.
