Awesome and incredibly haunting song. Jazzy vocals. The cardboard cows are super cute, super sad, and sort of creepy. Strange how this tune makes me happy and yet smile at the same time. Sort of reminds me of the old tune "Daydream Believer" in this regard. Certainly a throwback to the days of the late 60s.. I love this song and this band. Bring on MORE !!!

This perfectly describes what I'm experiencing right now, the aftermath of a relationship I thought and hoped would never end. When something so powerful and meaningful dies, the only way to avoid being taken down with it is to divorce yourself from it completely. To deny or ignore whatever feelings remain. I can only hope in the end that we both learned something, that it wasn't in vain.

My gosh did these guys ever screw up! Two masterpiece albums in 2001 and 2003, "Oh Inverted World" and "Chutes Too Narrow." And then us fans wait like four years for a mediocre third album "Wincing The Night Away." If you're gonna make your fans wait longer than two years at the MOST for a new album, you better have a "Sgt. Pepper" on your hands ready for release! "Wincing..." had some good songs but it didn't measure up to the first two at all.

CCR was never more than a crowd pleasing band anyway, they lacked the passion. Take Radiohead for example: Massive gaps of time between each album, yet they keep getting better. Don't give up on Wincing, the more you listen to it, the more you like it., that's the way good music is. The tunes u like the first time you hear it, u get sick of.

They were great from first album to....well....next to the last album. Radiohead is like a completely different country when speaking of CCR. Eras apart as well. I do like "Wincing..." a bit. The first four or five songs are great! But all of the sudden it sounds like they rushed the rest of the album, the flow isn't as good.
