  • So many ignorant comments here. These girls are originally from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan but they now live in Lahore which is in Punjab Province of Pakistan.

Pakistan has more Pashtuns than there are in Afghanistan and everyone in this video are PAKISTANIS.

  • Great song ... love it

  • wow

  • @TheLailagul well no matter where they are from they rock , their voices and music are awesome, by the way , it is being written about them that they are from Kohat Pakistan , and they are Ethnic Pushtoons ,

  • @Samkhan78 agreed they r bangash ! frm kohat

    nt afghani

  • Both girls belong to Afghanistan90(Hazara Mazar Sharif)but born and raised in Pakistan.Language is Dari(very much similar to Farsi of Iran)and is the 2nd largest language of Afghanistan after Pushtu. Man playing Rabab in the start is also AN afghan and wearing typical afghan shirt.

  • @TheLailagul both the girls are pakistani laila. the man playing the rubab is also pakistani, from peshawar. all three are from the khyber-pakhtunkhwa province Pakistan. why on earth would you make that silly misstatement? :)

  • @TheLailagul: Mazar Sharif???? Lolz ... that's an Uzbek area and your information is very misleading. FYI the girls are cousins and one of their fathers was a senior retired military officer of Pakistan Army, since when Pak Army is recruiting Afghans begs for explanation from you. Apart from that one of their cousins whom I know personally is an engineer and works in an MNC in Islamabad. Hope this would be enough for your unnecessary saber rattling!!! :-)

  • @TheLailagul I don't think they do. Zeb's father was in the Pakistani Army. She is from Pakistan.

  • @silentdarkmuse - wow good man............that's an answer....i like you buddy

  • Im sorry but coke studio of Karachi or wherever it is happening in Pakistan is much better than the show started in India.

I have no clue what mtv india are thinking bringing people from bollywood to such a brilliant event.

By the way this is not a biased opinion as i am from India and i love my country

but more than that i am a fan of good music which i felt is better in Pakistan as they are preserving their folk and classical heritage in music.

  • Coke gives us all this music for free~! I hope you guys will at least feel guilty next time you drink Pepsi instead of coke~!

  • This is fantastic music. These guys are really talented. Hats off to Coke Studio. Right from the lead vocalists, to all backup-singers, to the guitarists, the drummer and the percussionists, the violinist, and others I have left out, the whole team is producing delightful and yet soulful music. I'm a drummer for 21 years, and I know how difficult it is to play some of those time-signatures. Fantastic stuff. Thank you Coke Studio. I listen to you guys all day long, addictive. ~ Love from India.

  • Excellent Music and superb lyrics, I don't hear this kind of stuff in Indian music, you Pakistani's are really gifted with creative arts, don't waste your talent and energy on fanatisizm. Your nation has great pottential to be loving and accepting of other ideas and religions, take best from Islam and keep up the good work, all the best!!!

  • Can we see the excitement and the joy this clip brings about? I mean the wonderful, positive energy emanating from the singer, her support vocal team and the musicians. I am loving it. Pakistan truly offers premium singers, musicians and esteemed tunes. However, music to me is far outreached than any virtual (that's what I consider) borders that may try to confine them. It simply brings this unsurmountable pleasure and happiness to me. I am selfish about the ecstasy, what can I say. Enjoy!!!

Pakistani singers and musicians rock .... ^_^

    Pakistan Zindabad..... ^_^

  • This girl can sing nice. Need to promote her at international stage. We need to define ourselves and revise our identify which has been hijacked by the Talibans. Pakistan has always been moderate and we always had prominent Female singers, from Noor Jehan, to Tahira Syed, Musaraat Nazir, Tina Saani, Nazia Hassan, Hadiqa Kiyani, Abida Parveen, etc.

Talibans are just a recent addition and actually they are mainly Foreigners whom have fled their own mostly Arab and Central Asian countries

  • @datzburier You are right. If you people do not chase them away, they will snatch/kill/erode the rich culture of our subcontinent.

  • @datzburier true. i wish this was broadcast in india as well.

  • AWesome SONG.....PAkistani music is awesum..!!!

  • @datzburier Brothr if i am not wrong Zeb and Haniya are Afghan citizens but yes both are very talented really like the voice and i share the same idea should be promoted at bigger level for sure irrespctive of nationality

  • @MianMuhammadHaseeb both have nothing to do with Afghanistan. They are first cousins from Peshawar Pakistan. Father of one of the girl is an officer in Pakistan army.

  • @datzburier Very accurate description of the Taliban. They are mostly rejects from Jordan Palestin Egypt who have come over to foreign lands.

Long live Pakistan. And I'm not even Pakistani but their art and talent is boundless!. :)

  • @datzburier no one has hijacked your identity, its your inferiority complex...talibans or the tribemen are part of our society...you are not suppose to cut off a part of you just to be moderate in the eyes of the west !!

  • @datzburier

i agree with you - though i m from india but i really love their music ...hope they really get huge success they deserved

  • wow

  • We need more female musicians... especially bands

  • she is from pakistan .how is that?

  • who is she??? is she indian??

  • she's from islamabad

  • Lahore, actually.

  • They are from Peshawar , I've meet both of em and know them personally, one of them is my friend's cousin.
