i just stood 5 minutes straight in front of my mirror wearing nothing but a towel for a cape pretending to be a roman general while listening to the song. i'd do it again anytime.
Hence the title of this piece is "hungarian dance" and not "gypsy dance", it was inspired by hungarian folk music. thanks for not mixing up the two cultures.
This is Hungarian music, but it was inspired by the gypsies. Research my statement, and you will find this is true. My wife is from Eastern Europe, and the gypsies have contributed a great deal to all of the national music of all Eastern European cultures.
This is a hungarian dance and not a gypsie dance. Hungarians and gypsies are two different nations with different traditions and music. :) But the gypsie folk music is beautiful too.
I wish classical music was the trend in today's musical society :P Instead of going to concerts to watch some half-dressed bimbo, people would dress nicely to see an upcoming symphony. I wonder what modern day society would be like if we were more exposed to classical music...
Beautiful music... and if it weren't for the gypsies... what would music be? The most downtrodden people inspired the most beautiful music ever. Look at the African American spirituals, jazz, blues, Celtic music, and folk music traditions the world over. In these folk traditions, there is a life and spirit that is missing today.
@zenflare Under such conditions is where some of the most beautiful inspirations can come from, such as all the art that came out of Hitler's concentration camps. Depressing that that is what it takes for such incredible beauty to exist.
Dont let the inmigration destroy you as they did to us, we live in a hell of rapes, assasinations, drugs, rioters burning things in all places is a fucking kaos, my family is afraid to go out everyday...keep on the fight jobbik for a better europe...

Get classical or get out!
Yes, yes. I think the majority of us here all like classical music. For 12 years since I was three I listened to classical music. I feel it has some-what helped me realize my passion for music. Alos, almost it has helped my inteligence. That is, I can only tell compairing to my peers. I obviously can't see how I would've turned out without listen to these types of music. Haha
@hitohaismywaifu Generally those who prefer classical music have a greater intellect than those who prefer commercial music. Intellegent people prefer the peaks and valleys, harmony and rythm, and complexity of classical music.
I'm 2 years old....scratch that, I'm a sperm I like this music and I like making generic comments. Seriously, age has nothing to do with appreciating good music!
My dad always played Beethoven songs on the piano when I was little and listened to Tchaikovsky ballet suites... Some music you grow up with will never leave you.
@Prestothemusic He doesn't really play as much anymore though. Life's hectic.
But I know exactly what you mean. I'm more of a singer, and whenever I tried adding emotion I'd slide into notes. That had to stop. I can't really get into it as much, but I'm learning to manage and get better.
And yes, I love classical music as a teen also like the rest of you! Gasp! Am I not normal too!? :D
And this sounds ridiculous, but I was soooooo happy that the Mario and Sonic Game contained classical music to dance to, not some stupid and flashy modern dance beat.....
I didn't really like classical music at first, but once I started playing Cello two years ago, I realized the many parts it took to make a great piece of music. I started appreciating the music, and I'm just 13, turning 14 next month. Classical music is great.
Childhood memories of my Hungarian family and dancing around to this music, especially weddings, l love so many different kinds of music from all different era's, ever since l was little, music is ageless and appreciated by the entire human race, music does not discriminate, only people do, l listen to Brahms Hungarian dance No 5 and it brings tears to my eyes, then an hour later l could be listening to Jimi Hendrix, Blondie,U2, depends on my mood, what do l care what anybody else thinks
Shut up about being a teen and preferring classical music over todays music. We don't really care and it's not that amazing because the music is magnificent and should be enjoyed. I'm a teen and I'm not ashamed to say that I like both (and many other kinds) of music. By the way, this isn't even Classical, it's Romantic.
Can we all get over the fact that yes, you may be young but that doesn't shock anyone. There are MANY teens out there who enjoy classical music. You could be 13 or 19 there are others like you. I'm not trying to put you down, believe me I'm not. just......its not that amazing that there is a teenager saying he/she likes classical music.
Okay, I'm a teenager, and I want to fully apologize for my generation. They're complete idiots who can't and probably won't every be able to appreciate good classical music. I personally love and can't get enough of it <3
