  • Too funny! Sounds like a motor boat.

  • It looks like he was trying to push it around and make noises like a kid playing with a toy car going "Vroom Vroom"

  • Amazing behavior that proves their intelligence!

  • ..a whale and your johnson

  • Woow, thats a fart and a half.

  • 1:11 Thats one depressed whale!

  • Sounds like he is doing "motor boat" lol so cute!!

  • Too bad we don't speak motor boat ;)

  • could he have been trying to....say - turn the motor on so that he could i dunno ... play while folowing a speeding boat rather than ..... staying there making noises ...

  • @vulvoline01 I like your idea. Orcas are known to be very smart and inventive, so your guess about his wish (to play with a speeding boat) may be true :-)

  • @dreadfin

:P whatever his intention was tho , its very impressive lol ...

  • lol

  • R.I.P. Luna. You have more human friends than you knew.

  • Ok who has just made a fart??

    Xd

  • Look at those fucking wound! Should get every motor a electrical shock warning system to get them away from the propeller!

  • it could be imitating the sound of the boat engine.

  • I want to pet him\her

  • hahaha. orca with humor.

  • a w e s o m e!!! love it.

@beautifulstar33: orcas have only shown aggression (at times) to humans when in captivity...where they don't form pods therefore have no family relations between each other and are minimized to doing stupid human tricks.

check out the youtube vids on swimming with whales of all kinds. if you are lucky enough to be in the same ocean as an orca they will either ignore you or check you out of curiosity. They don't ram boats-no whales do that!

  • @TheDayzgirl but in captivity, can't they form pods with other orcas there, like in seaworld, wher they have some other orcas with them? if in the open ocean they try to check u out of curiosity, what should u do?

  • @beautifulstar33 sadly, no. Captive orcas are mixed in tanks from different pods from Atlantic and Pacific. Each pod has its own unique language with the orca never looses. By grabbing them from different pods they're never able to communicate or form pods. Also, the small tanks with bland walls distorts their sonar (language) which confuses the orca. Ton of info on: animallaw.info/articles/ddusorcas.htm. Lolita was captured 40 yrs ago in cove by my house-horrific stories.

  • @TheDayzgirl I didn't know this. But if he orcas are unhappy in captivity, then why do they do these tricks? I mean, they're not beaten, so why do they do them?

  • @beautifulstar33 they are intelligent animals...therefore trainable and they have to adapt to survive, which is simply a basic instinct for all life. Do what they need to get food. There are other forms of abuse that do not involve being beaten. I use to love to go to Sea World in San Antonio as teen. Then I learned about specific whales and how they become shadows of what they were created to be when kept from their home. If happy why is captivity only place they kill humans?

  • @beautifulstar33 I've never been in open ocean with an orca...but if I were I would do my best to stay very calm, non-aggressive. If they become curious they will most likely swim close to you and possibly angle up to you so they can look you in the eye is what I've hear reported. You can snorkel with orcas in Norway...no one has ever been hurt, much less killed :) The name Killer Whale came from sailors who witnessed their intelligent hunting skills attacking grey whales.

  • @TheDayzgirl So why not try to swim away if they come close to you? They can come VERY close to you if they feel like it. Why not swim away as fast as u can then?

  • @beautifulstar33 why would I do that? First, they're amazing! Second, the probability of them harming me is nearly non-existent. Third, I could never out swim them. As long as they don't come VERY close to me with their mouth wide open I'm ok with that :) People that have swam with whales in their natural habitat say it is an amazing experience. Almost everyone talks about the whale, whether humpback or orca, moving in a way to be sure to make eye contact.

  • @TheDayzgirl but thyere so big and CAN hurt us, as they're top predators. THat's scary, is it not? How do they try to make sure they eye contact?

  • @beautifulstar33 that's what's so incredibly amazing! So it can be scary, I'm sure. Why knowledge is so important. By knowledge we know they will be gentle with us.

People who have swam with them say they will turn in such a way so their eye is looking directly into the human's eye. They certainly can tell we're not part of their food chain and seem to be inquisitive.

  • WTF THAT WERID

  • I thought these dudes are supposed to be even more dangerous than sharks. If they see you as intruders they'll ram your boat.

  • @zickkun wajow seriously , i will never want to meet orcas while being on a small ship .

  • @zickkun No, Orca whales never do that. Actually, they are apart of the dolphin family, and are as friendly as dolphins. They are very gentle creatures, they just have a bad name because of what happens in Seaworld.

  • @Breathless2012 have they ever hurt humans? if ur in the water and they see u, what do they do?

  • @beautifulstar33 Well, they have hurt humans before, but that is either they play too rough because they don't know their own strength. Or during mating season. Or if its a mother protecting her caf.

If ur in the water, they mostly just swim around you and check you out. We're aliens to them, and they are really curious. I swim with the wild ones all the time and they most keep their distance.

  • @Breathless2012 is it good to swim away if they come near u?

  • sounds like a farting camel. XD

  • damn fish mockin' humans! :D

  • They really understand us ;')

  • Hey mate, I ate unions and garlic yesterday, I can make the same noises but mimic my smell, loser... ;-)

  • Sounds like me in the bath.

  • @TheVlogSister Luna was killed 6 years ago by a boat.

  • @TheVlogSister unfortunatelly u will not.....he was killed by boat....:(

  • @richardpalan that's really sad. It looked like he really liked humans.

  • @EllaLegalVideos thanks for reading the title :)

  • r.i.p Luna

    fart champion of the sea

  • So what has taken place is that the whale

has recognized the Boat moter and has then a

ccurately replicated that sound ... Stunning when you think about it .

  • lol the orca is just farting very hard

  • Sounds like orca needs some pepto-bismol

  • I laughed because he was cute,I cried because his life ended the wrong way, then I smiled because he was there.

  • Even the animal kingdom recognizes the comedic value of fart jokes.

  • Someone drop a sack of lentils???

  • Hurry, hide this orca before the japanese finds out where it lives before they make make a sushi out of it!

  • *lights a candle*

  • @nycboy31 It's a shame that you use this forum to attack me rather than to marvel at this wonderful culinary gift from mother earth. Shame on you. My flesh has a sweet, somewhat bitter taste with overtones of citrus and a wild gaminess that can only be described as your mother's vagina. Good night sweet prince Luna. A world hangs it's head in mourning.

  • @meadslosh Right. YouTuber's are sinewy and taste like sweaty taint. Which is why would should be harvesting Orcas, Dolphins, etc...for their delicious meat. For once I agree with the Japs. RIP Luna. In a brighter world you would have fed many.

  • Who's to say cows is the global warming's main assailant?!

  • Funniest fart joke ever!

  • First trolling orca?..

  • Yikes. I really hope that's not the sound the boat makes!!!!

  • I bet Orcas are delicious. The smarter the animal, the tastier the flesh.

  • @WordzRWeaponz85 So, most YouTube commentators taste absolutely vile, then?

  • @WordzRWeaponz85 I guess your flesh tastes putrid then.

  • 10 bux says there is a few pairs of tities underneath that water and hes motorboating the hell outta them.

  • ... I think you mean "by imitating humans' ass".

  • You motorboatin' son of a bitch!

  • @noroxus haha yeah he's saying thatrt that motor and ride along :)

  • Personally, I believe he wants some o' that powerboat poontang.

  • Dammit, he sunk my BATTLESHIT!

  • These animals are so intelligent!!! I miss him so mucht! Rip LUNA

  • People making jokes here should be aware that this very whale was killed by a tugboat in 2006 at the age of 7. He left his family, became too attached to humans, and his curiosity killed him. His family seem to be "cursed" - his uncle, mother and brother all died young. After reading about him, all my prepared laughter became tears.

  • @keithkyli - He didn't "leave his family" - what happened to him was the eqivelent to a child going missing. He was a baby in orca development. Orcas are a family oriented species, and they live close together for most, if not all, of their lives in "pods"(families.) No one knows how or why he was seperated from his family, no one was willing to reunite them if it didn't make money from it, and Luna died becauseof that. It's disgusting.

  • Please Mr Boat, don't cut our heads with your helix! brrrrrrrrr

  • While it is fairly intelligent it is also highly immature. I grew out of making fart noises to strangers 5 years ago.

  • Even whales enjoy a good fart noise.

  • It would arrogant of us to think only we think. We don't even understand their body language.

  • Bagel!

  • these animals are fascinating

  • Blowing its nose?

  • That was the best queef EVER!

  • Fascinating!

  • dont worry guys it was just farting .

  • Whats with all the idiotic comments on Youtube? Realize that this is a sad example of how badly we have affected nature. To drive a whale to try to communicate with a boat and imitate an engine? its not funny or entertaining. this is just another example of how horrible we are as a species... RIP Luna...

  • @mariopozzo keelhaul yourself

  • @mariopozzo "God" created "people" in "his" image. You should really be used to this shit by now. It's "just" a whale. Peace.

  • @PawnBACM God also created people to be the caretakers of his creation...only killing that which we absolutely need for survival...

Maybe some respect is due to God's creations...even the whales.

  • @TheDayzgirl I don't believe in God per se. Nature and its interrelationship with the human race, science, etc. I do believe in; a form of spirituality if that is what it can be called or naturalism/humanism. Biblical gods no; dominion and control is given to people over animals in most forms of religions expressly and has little to do with respect. They are even more inferior than the peoples label inferior by religion. Humanity does have a responsibility to people and animals.

  • @PawnBACM Sorry. I mistook your comment to be callous towards the animal, but it appears that it's a statement mocking a biblical God. I'm not here to prove or disprove God, that is your choice to make but I will point out that humans, as a whole, tend to disrespect each other, themselves and everything around them regardless of their religion or lack thereof. Just don't fault God of bible for humanity's wrongs. Absolutely agree with you-humanity does have the responsibility to both.

  • @TheDayzgirl One need not give credit to god for much of anything to begin with; there is little they haven't readily taken credit for themselves. That said, people can be "mean" or "nice" irrespective of that, so I would agree with. That said, I think non-theists would save the planet and its people - as a whole anyway - before theists would. That's part of what people dedicated to science do.

  • @PawnBACM non-theists like Stalin...Hitler...Mao...Kim Il Sung...I think it's safe to say that some of the cruelest people have been those with no God or decided to hate God. My question is (because I'm curious) do you think only non-theist are dedicated to science (the continual quest for more knowledge of their surroundings)?

  • Comment removed

  • @PawnBACM I said turn my back on God...Stalin and Hitler both started out claiming to adhere to christianity but turned that to Jew and Christian haters because both, in correct forms, adhere to all humans belong to one brotherhood and they wanted to be a race above all. Nor did I say my list was in any order nor anywhere near complete...I was merely throwing some names out as examples. Anyway-not hear to persuade you one way or other-your beliefs are yours.Mine are mine. Luna's Cool!

  • @TheDayzgirl I think you have your history a little distorted. I have probably read more speeches delivered by Hitler and Stalin than you know even exist. Nothing non-theist about either. And you prefer Chiang to Mao; wow, that's not saying much that impresses me either. Chiang was a fascist in a period of abject poverty; I at least admired a few things about Mao. Kim II Sung is probably a freaking whacko, but be real about S.Korea; they like to instigate sometimes also. That's simply fact

  • @TheDayzgirl I believe that there are some good theists that are truly dedicated to objective, scientific facts; even to the point their conclusions drawn fly directly in the face of scripture. One of the best articles I read on radiometric dating had an entire portion dedicated to the fact the flood of Noah couldn't have possibly occurred given polar ice core samples. It was written by a theist. I have no idea why some continue to believe; maybe it's "cultural". I still like Christmas. idk.

  • @PawnBACM True. Some theist approach scripture as proving all things, which was not the reason it was written in the first place. Most (if not all) ancient religions have a "Noah" account or great flood. Christmas is not when Jesus was born...was probably conceived during that time, but definitely not born. Point being, people...regardless of what topic...tend to follow a crowd rather than dig and make their own conclusions.

  • @TheDayzgirl Seaworld is the only place where they kill humans? didn't know that. Humpback whales/ but they're so big. you're a brave girl. What about dolphins? Sharks?

  • @beautifulstar33 well..places they're in captivity..yes. dolphins, sure...super friendly (just not during a woman's cylce :o) sharks!?! are you crazy? that's a whole other animal...and not a friendly one.

  • @beautifulstar33 how would dolphins treat u if you're in the wild with them? sharks dont eat humans btw.

  • @beautifulstar33 - There's many old stories of sailors being carried on the backs of dolphins to safety after a ship wreck, just recently a pod of seven dolphins surrounded 3 young teenagers to protect them from being attacked by a great white shark until they reached the shore

  • @IronicallyVague are they true? would orcas protect us from sharks too?

  • @beautifulstar33 Dolphins integrate with humans in the wild with caution but with confidence. They play-bite your legs for a short time as a greeting (as they do to fins within their pod) and as long as a human doesn't attempt to put a hand anywhere near their blow-hole they are fine. Sharks don't eat humans by a rule, but may sever a limb, often to see what you taste like!...and more often as mistaken identity.

  • @Prolinium Do those bites hurt when the dolphins do that? If you're in the wild and an orca/dolphin sees you, will it come after you?

  • @beautifulstar33 No they don't hurt, if the pressure is too much a quick tap on the dolphin's side will acknowledge the greeting and it'll stop. Will they come after you? Oh yeah...curiosity mostly, and play. An orca, well this depends on whether it's a transient pod member and always keep clear of them anyway. They are not all as friendly as this one !!

  • @Prolinium If not all orcas are friendly, why do they say that in the wild, orcas will OT come after you to attack you then?

  • @Prolinium They say that if you're in the open ocean with them and the orcas see you, that they will NOT attack you, so what about that?

  • @beautifulstar33 That information is correct. However, there may be several reasons why an orca won't be overly impressed by a human's presence, or that of any other creature and may act accordingly to remove it. As humans, we are not on the orca's elimination list, but neither are we on their party invites either !! :)

  • @Prolinium Oh. Well, so in th wild, if a dolphins sees you and comes for u, is it best to swim away or stay still? Which are more dangerous to be around, orcas or great whites?

  • @beautifulstar33 Be aware that I am referring to the orca, not the dolphin. Although the two are related they have different functions and characters. Your last question? One's incredibly more intelligent than the other. Which? ;-)

  • @Prolinium Ok, so between dolphinsd and orcas, which will respect humans more & come to you in the open ocean for play? Dolphin or orcas? Also, I think orcas are smarter, but great whites are more instinctual, so I think great whites are more dangeorus, right?

  • @TheDayzgirl Then would you ever swim with orcas?

  • @beautifulstar33 probably...laws in US waters prohibit getting closer than 100 feet, but the orcas don't know that :) I would love to kayak and find a pod to observe, if they chose to come up to the kayak, so be it. Norway waters are a bit too cold for me. I wouldn't mind going to South Pacific and swimming with humpbacks :)

  • @mariopozzo Probably lmao I agree but you know everyone else doesn't care enough to think that hard.

  • EXCUSE YOU BRO

  • Comment removed

  • He had WAY too much herring for lunch.

  • Love this video! The Orca seemed to be trying to communicate with the boat! I wonder what would have happened had you had a recording of the boat sound and played it back to the Orca?

  • He needs to be in the annual 'World's Best Mouth(Blowhole) Fart Sounds Competition' that I just made up right now.

  • Lol it sounds like he farted :)

  • god there is nothing worse than a whale fart...

  • I tell you what she's actually saying since I'm fluent in Orca-boat communications. Translation: "Now you know how annoying and disrupting your water polluting boat can be"

  • are you sure thats its blow hole?

  • I think it's saying "I had beans for dinner last night."

  • Maybe the whale was attempting to talk the boat in throwing the guy over broad, for a snack.....

  • Gawd, let's hope they aren't bored--with all that intelligence, who knows what they'll get up to next? Luna imitates a motor boat far better than I can imitate a killer whale.

  • sounds like its farting...im so mature...

  • Okay, I know this Orca is trying to tell us something but we don't speak boat motor. Quick, get me a translator!

  • I love how scientists assume this whale is trying to mimic a motorized boat. To me, I think the whale just likes fart jokes. Cracks me up. What a smartass whale.

  • i probably would lose my arm... but if i was there, i absolutely would try to touch him @_@

  • We need more relationships with whales like Luna. Certainly we can connect with so many other species if we just open up our hearts.

  • I think it's saying "You see how annoying this sound is? Now gtfo of my environment" lol

  • they're so smart..........

  • my girlfriend makes the same noice after sex

  • someone stick a anal plug in that thing!

  • Luna was NOT a "orca-boy". Luna was a Male orca-boy is used to identify male humans, not whales or other animals. Poor luna was treated like shit by boaters when he was alive- indeed, he was killed by a boater running over him with their motor. Now this "movie" is just a chance to exploit him further-no one helped to reunite him w/ his family as it wouldn't make anyone any money. Do the right thing-give ALL PROCEEDS from this movie to the Native Band that cared for Luna as one of their own.

  • @JHandcock1111 where did you get all this info troll?

  • @kleber1983 I wish I was trolling, and none of this happened to Luna. I know this because I, and the rest of my community lived it here everyday from the time Luna was first discovered to his "funeral" by the band that adopted him and believed him to be the reincarnation of the former chief.

  • The orca is saying: hey! can you hear that noise? It's annoying uh? Well that's what your bloody boat sounds like! It's pissing me off!

  • THE WHALE, the true story of Luna (featured here) is opening next week in Washington DC! For more info, please visit thewhalemovie(dot)com
