Just some background info for this song - Steven wrote this song when his parents announced they were getting divorced. this was his reaffirming his commitment to his wife and their marriage. After the tragic death of their little girl they endured their shock and grief together and on his latest cd he re-recorded this song.

I tried very hard to make things work and sacrificed a lot even though she continued to do hurtful things throughout our separation. She said I was "too good for her". I don't believe I am better than her, but now I do see that we were unequally yoked. I feel very sad for the path she has decided to take.
