@mrdanjel well, as far as i know it doesnt make any diffrence if it diesel or petrol, but u gotta be careful with sportage since the ground clearance of sportage is not that high, u might get stuck, moreover sporatge has no low range 4wd, it is just an AWD, am i right?

i don think so, but u gotta be careful about the air intake pipe, the engine may stall if water gets in the air filter

@siyyari, yeah you are right, no diff, so if it lose traction one wheel at each axle start to spin,and no low range, so your Kia has diff ?
