But are now veiwed as Occupiers, and not just homeless bums, But the DPD, they know which of you are real, and which of you in the park, are just homeless bums. @1877colt so therefore, i don't empathize with them, they occupied the 16th street mall when i was homeless over 10 years ago in Denver. I made the changes to get me where i am now. Nobody but one man gave me a job 2 1/2 yrs ago. paid me peanuts, and and was a friend in a way, because he gave me a chance, I asked him for the job, he didn't offer it to me. I 4 years ago. Had 2 suitcases, my dog and a sleeping bag, and made it happen, and never gave up. I have empathy.

I came to Civic center park 2 months ago to donate food and supplies to the people of occupyDenver, and while i met with a few of them. i honestly saw people i knew, that where homeless 10 years or more ago, posing as Occupiers, They were the same young men and woman that have never tried to do anything for themself's back then, and still 10-20 yrs later, finding an excuse to get hand outs.

@1877colt, What you don't know, is that I spent many years homeless in denver, I'm 40 yrs now, from the time i was 19 to around 35, i was homeless off and on. Here in Denver, and Ft Collins, Cheyenne Wyoming ETC ETC. My wife passed away nearly 3 yrs ago. And for the past two years i spent working for 8 bucks an hours as a photographer at fairs across the western US, Living in My van with my dog. I saved that money, Bought me a small house, and started life over 4 months ago. TO BE CONTINUED

theres no way wal mart will be shut down. the fact that their prices are so low is why they are so big. if you are unhappy with walmart outsourcing factories to china, then have deregulation in workers rights, get rid of unions, and lower the minimum wage. then factories will come back. but truthfully, that will just make things worse. cuz that was America in the early 1900s. so walmart needs to stay, like it or not.

The people were not arrested for voicing their opinion, they all sat in the road in front of a shipping truck, they violated the rights of others and suffered the consequences. That driver was trying to support his family and make a living and you jackasses are just a burden on him trying his best.

@hawkeyechristy Looking by the patches on the shoulder velcro (or at least what i could see) there was no American flag and the patch would have been a "C" with a circle around it for Colorado National Guard, so i doubt he was a soldier maybe just a swat officer. But i couldn't see the patches in great detail so who knows.

I think I can answer what the charges were -- obstructing traffic and refusing an order from a police officer.

That said, I definitely support the message OWS has to offer. Walmart is a big part of what's wrong with our country today, and awareness needs to be made of what shopping Walmart costs us. Why not picket in front of stores, noting the cheap chinese made crap which ends up costing you MORE. Don't obstruct people getting in, but show those messages there. Should work nicely.
