  • use natural harmonics at the intro on 12th and 7th frets, using double stops

  • @TalkToTheBody I knew there was something amiss. Thanks!

  • @ChanBP and buy yourself some Blue Herdim picks to get the edge sound, but remember to turn the pick 180 degrees!!

  • Really good tips thank you

  • awesome dude...this is a great video...I'm definitely gonna show this to some of my students...I usually just teach them how to tap out a hemiola to get this sound (if they don't have something like the dd-20 which is a STELLAR UNIT)...this is definitely the "berklee" explanation for dotted delays

  • I suck at math and this video totally confused me.

  • Wow!! dude that was Amazing!!! :D

  • Pity that this excellent video in English and do not understand anything if you could explain in Spanish subtitle

  • Hi Justin thanks for the video. When i TAB the Tempo on my dd20(using the dotted eight) i loose it, could you please tell me the right way to tab tempo using dotted eithg on my giga delay...i heard the giga tab in quarter notes....

  • @Rundm3p Hi there, if your DD20 is in dotted eighth mode, tapping to the tempo of the song in quarter notes will automatically bring it back in time (for eg, if someone accidentally pulls out the control tap tempo during soundcheck).

  • I've always believed that part of being a great guitarist relies on how good a sound you have. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video. Did you save your dotted 8th note setting to memory? It automatically restores the note type, your exact tempo, and knob settings when you recall it, right?

BTW - I love using the Boss FS switch to mess with delay tempo on the fly! I was thinking I could store the effect level, feedback, tone, and delay type all to memory and always be able to recall and find that dotted eighth note interval by using that tempo pedal tapped to any given tempo, have you tried?

  • @apg3soup Hi there, yes I do save it--the DD20 has 5 presets, 4 which can be committed to memory, and the manual mode which reads the knobs only. I usually have dotted eighth on manual. It saves the delay type, last tapped tempo and knob settings. I wonder if the large two-pedal FS can be used to have greater control...

  • I Love the Boss Giga Delay and dotted eight notes sounds great

  • Actually the Mighty To Save DVD - bonus DVD - guitar workshop - very good if you've not seen it. I forget the song he used two with. ooh I love that Duo-Jet tone.

    Keep up the good work.

I only have a multi effect down the church (and at home) but have just picked up a Line 6 Echo Pro rack and am playing about. It has stereo in and out and midi clock synch which might be good. Early days!

  • Great job. I was watching Nigel H's DVD bonus about delay - he had two - have you seen/tried that? I thought (from that) I had to have 2 delays peds.

  • @randallpatrickc Thanks heaps! Yes I've tried splitting the mono signal to stereo and then applying different delays. Gets a little complicated, so I try to avoid that setup for a regular Sunday service haha. Which DVD was it? Sounds like the bonus from "God He Reigns", where NH's rig had a rack-mount delay unit.

  • very well explained !!! I knew this from with in me but the technical and explanation makes things so much easier ! Im a Hillsong FAN and a U2 alsooo I have done many covers on my channel check them out ;) Thanks again God bless

  • @TheAngelEmpire Thanks bro! Bro you have serious groove going! Blessings too bro :)
