@shadowkolo Just make it in a propper 3d engine with HD textures and remade cutscenes then swap the junction battle system to the one from IX. The thing is that VI and earlier have aged better than VII through IX because PSX graphics are total eyesores by modern standards, whereas SNES was much clearer to see. (Oddly the N64 is just as clear too, must be to do with uncanny valley theory).

@kouyung the trick was to only level to 96, then stop leveling, when you get to omega you wont be a multiple of 5 so lvl 5 death wont kill you.If you used the "level your summons whilst keeping your party really low level" trick, so that you had all of the +extra stat on level GF abilities, when you do level your party the extra stats severly outweigh not having those 2 or 3 levels when taking on Omega

Ah, the memories. I remember facing Omega Weapon. Took me hours to get down there, less than a minute to kill him. My initial reaction was "Well that's just great, Now what?" Then I immediately kick his ass to my own surprise XD

FF8 was the best of all FFs. The gameplay was original. In every goddamn RPG you have mana, every character has different spells and shit like that. But in FF8 it was different. In every other FF, a person with summons was overpowered and was main tank in the team. In FF8, characters were pretty equal, and every of them could use GFs. Also, the card game was cool and easy to play, while in Tetra Master, you were dependent on luck. And the most kickass think in this game: GODDAMN AWESOME MUSIC!

Forget being rock-like, are they memorable? Thats the difference between themes like IV, VI, VIII, & IX's and VII, X, & XII's. The first 4 I listed are memorable and the other three aren't. X's music is barely in there, and you might as well enjoy the music whilst you listen to it. :)
