  • I've never listened to a metal song with a waltz rythm. Best band ever i think.

  • @ameziaish If you like "waltz-metal" I would suggest Where Dead Angels lie by Dissection. Truly Something there as well

  • jizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • This song definitely isn't a collection of failures!

  • These were the times when " In Flames" were great, now they're just mediocre :(

  • @Jaymeizterflash01 But their new fans refuses that.....And those are kids.

  • best Album on the World!

    And my firts :)

  • I could sleep to this and have sweet dreams its epic ^_^

  • This actually makes me cry.

  • This is hands down THE greatest song ever written.

  • this is more than art. this is in flames.

  • First In Flames song i ever heard that made me fall in love with Melodeath

  • nice year, 1997 I bought the album Whoracle and I heard it constantly in my car. my favorite song on the album was E p i s o d e 6 6 6 ; P

  • i love this fucking beautiful intro <3

  • anyone know why this song was on the re release of jester race? D:

    IN FLAMES IS AWESOME!

    IN HORSE MEAT WE TRUST!!

    IN HORSE IS FLAVOR!

  • This is an epic song. Melodic Death Metal on its best and purest form.

    IN FLAMES RULES!!!

    IN FLAMES WE TRUST!!!

    IN METAL WE TRUST!!!!!!!!!!

  • @antonio1977jp def agree! Melodic Death Metal here reached the top its expression form

  • lanbuneyaa

  • Model - Değmesin Ellerimiz

  • wow 3 people missed the thumbs up

  • this is a waltz with a really fast tempo. kinda makes you wanna dance with someone to it, doesn't it?

  • @ThatBassist6 I kinda see what you mean, dude. Lol

  • My Favourite song with In Flames. Thumbs up if you think the same.

  • Absolutely great..

  • Ok i have The Jester Race/Black Ash Classic series and that version of that album comes with 4 extra songs including this one and is there really a difference with the way they sound or anything?

  • Who ever is disappointed about there new album i agree but i found another awesome melodeath band who are still keeping there style, they are called "Kalmah"

    /watch?v=-2GX-tji_Xw&feature=related check them out

  • @azizn02 Yeah Kalmah is very great too, everybody should listen to "principle hero" and "they will return", absolutely awesome !

  • Every riff on this album is perfect and memorable, that's not an easy thing to do. Coupled with the stellar production job that really brings out the right tone of every instrument, you have yourselves a masterpiece.

  • I think Jesper left because he has a heavier music taste, that and the fact they are being told in which direction to make their music. Poor Anders Friden, losing his vocals.

  • @Dzschelebo I wonder how much Jesper had a hand in the songwriting since Clayman. I just can't believe that he could go from writing such an anthem like this to some of their later trendy crap, Maybe he was just too drunk to care.

  • <3 <3 <3 !

  • you gotta be kidding me, tell me how can 5 swedish metalhead drunkards create that greatness...

  • @8paranza8 swedish and metalhead =the most epic race of humanity in existence

  • @8paranza8 Clasic example of stereotype, how about I say all Americans are fat huh?

  • @MyHack4life lol, first I'm italian (pizza, mafia, mandolino do you know?), second I was just sayin that it seems crazy to me that drunkards people such as In flames (they enjoy drinking a lot, it's not a secret) could compose such a great piece, regardless of their nationality.

  • @8paranza8 i guess that kinda ok :D

  • I love In Flames, my favorite band ever, I own ever album they have made and I cant wait to see them at Mayhem fest this year. In Flames We Trust!

  • One of the best if not the best metal band ever created and to be created.

their music is godly and more addictive than a needle full or meth.

    In Flames We Trust!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2:04 butthole

  • those fucking drums in the intro. god damnit yes.

  • Dude this song is so awesome that my mind cant comprehend how epic this is ...literally best song ever made

  • very atmospheric. only in flames album i can get into. love it!

  • Ahh man!! Bring's back good memories of the day's of early soilwork and early in flames.. Good times.

  • @TheShadowKind couldnt agree more on both accounts

  • una letra muy expresiva creo q cualquiera se identificaria con ella lastima q se hicieron dethcoreros.......... extrañamos el jester race y el whoracleeeeeeeee!

  • i adore it...

  • @o6one9o shouldnt that belong on the alias vid man? haha, good lyrics though. whoa! greetings fellow canuck. in flames we trust newfoundland

  • The only In Flames song that I've heard that I enjoy. It's fucking badass!

  • @JustinTyme you have to listen to their older stuff if you really want to hear their true sound

  • @JustinTyme in flames are very much like "trivium" i consider them both their own genre cause they both are unique, takes a true musical genius to compose such music :D

  • @Lawlietowns nope. in flames are melodic death metal. trivium are metalcore. next.

  • @Schpudd never said genres i never heard another band like trivium and i never heard another band like in flames.. point made?

  • @Lawlietowns nope, you obviously haven't looked hard enough

  • @Schpudd no shit cause they others aren't anywhere as good...

  • @Lawlietowns try sylosis for trivium, dark tranquillity for in flames. easy

  • @Schpudd heard them both not fans NTY

  • @Lawlietowns lol. Dark Tranquility > you.

  • 3 People ain't neo wolves.

  • typical of in flames, to blow the competition away like this, the new stuff has great instruments old stuff better vocals...

  • so amazing.. this is awesome :D

  • RIP good band.

  • @macharius188 oh you mean the old in flames?

  • @TheFlippehh Whoracle

  • fucking insane , man these guys come up with some fucking awesome melodies , imo one of the best ever created , absolutely fantastic musicians . just wish i could understand the singer more clearly cos his lyrics are awesome but its hard to get people to appreciate the songs when they don't know what there saying.

  • @TheFlippehh Buy the whole album, it's a sick album.

  • from the fossilised den of leaves, our lives dies.....

  • @TheJester0714 thieves* not leaves

  • |\m/| (>.<) |\m/|

  • In Flames we Trust! From Austin, Texas

  • it's a great album / song. But you guys are crazy. Jester race is their best album. It pioneered melodic death metal

  • @devouringfate It couldn't have pioneered Melodic Death Metal if At The Gate's album Terminal Spirit Disease was released a year earlier.....

  • @lipailong2

Everybody say At The Gates are the pioneers of Melodic Death Metal. Ok the band founded earlier than In Flames but this times they dont made MeloDeath they made Death/Thrash Metal. The other guy is also wrong that Jester Race was the first album. Lunar Strain was 2 years before. Actually the first Melodic Death Metal album was Dark Tranquillitys "Skydancer" also with "Anders Friden" (In Flames). Then 2 years later in 1995 every each band made an album wich actually made the genre.

  • @ChannelxxAUSTRIAxx01

Thrash Metal = Venom: Black Metal(Also created Black Metal) - 1982

Death Metal = Possessed: Seven Churches - 1985

Melodic Death Metal = At The Gates: The Red In The Sky is Ours - 1992 or Carcass: Heartwork - 1993

  • the only old song that i've ever heard them play was colony, but i wish they would play this some time.

  • Kickin' it oldschool!

  • best album <3

  • This is easily one of the best song I have ever heard. Everytime I listen to it, which is everyday, I feel like if I were to die right after listening to it, I would be fine with it. If you know the felling I'm talking about thmbs up. I don't know any other words except, Raw Epicness that can describe this song any better. \m/

  • @IFLOGMM dude you just have spoken the words that were on the tip of my tongue

  • @IFLOGMM total agreement you have to come up with a word for the awesomeness of this like, kadaverificness

  • too bad the song aint that long :/

  • @Sonarctic11 yes, thats a thing that plauges alot of good In Flames songs.

  • Great Song

  • gyro song is a bit underrated but I think this could have been one of the best metal songs ever made. It`s to short for it`s potential.Anyway I think it`s one of the best In flames songs.

  • @sldsaxkihc In my opinion, Dialogue with the stars is the best tune from In flames, probably the best out there

  • favourite song of all time! :P

  • I miss this sounds from older In flames , this is true music epic forever unhuman magic

  • I love this song.

  • Comment removed

  • i see that there is a debate going on more or less if their songs from past or recent ones are the best. well...these are my personal views please don not be offended.

i cant determine whether these old songs or their more recent counter parts are better. hailing from a metal head family , i can just say my father listens to them and he is 51 years old. lol:)

  • @sylfaril

that means he likes the old shit. the old shit kills the new shit. and when you see them live they never play old shit. it pisses me off. i've seen them three times and the only older thing they play is pinball map.

  • @JoelMeOff well I see them in 2009 and they played episode 666 and the hive

  • one of their best!

  • melodic death at its best!

  • In Flames at their peak, it was all downhill from there

  • Whoracle is to In Flames what Master of Puppets is to Metallica.

    Magnum opus

  • @Zantar17 Master of Puppets is the most overrated album ever. Ride the Lightning is better imo.

  • @Kevzen0 It is an awesome album. But i dont even listen to metallica anymore. But its still one of the only albums i can press play on and listen to every song. And that album puts me to sleep better then any other.

  • @Zantar17 no, its not Whoracle but The Jester Race that holds that position

  • such a sick song! :D

  • Great song!! it makes my eyes bleed

  • BEST OF IN FLAMES!!!!!!

    I think!....

  • I don't know about you guys but In Flames is in Flames new or old the are still AMAZING. Enough said.

  • WHY IN FLAMES HAD TO GO MAINSTREAM???? WHY??? THEY WERE SO UNIQUE!! and this album and the jester race are masterpieces...WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CHANGE? ;-(

  • @getthefuckaoutmyway They didn't go mainstream, they just went away from the underground scene. ;)

Plus even though sometimes Ander's whining vocals in ASOP is kinda annoying, once you get pass that, their scream-a-long songs are awesome. Let the album grow on you! Just listen to Sleepless Again from ASOP, that song is freaking awesome. :D

  • @YupperSirMaz

I already know sleepless again, that´s why I´m telling you that I don´t really like their new stuff...

  • @getthefuckaoutmyway

    Their new stuff is awesome

  • great song!

Their first 2 albums were my personal favs, but this is still a good one

  • I Think Whoracle is one of their best albums

still i think The Jester Race was their best

  • Geology is digging through my brain!

  • still one my favorites by In Flames. the aocustic beginning gives me chills just like moonsheild does. been a fan for like 2 years now and i love everything from Jesters Race to ASOP. all the albums are different but all awesome in different ways. im not just a metalhead....im a jesterhead lol. LONG LIVE IN FLAMES

  • amazing song and riff, first listened to this in the late 90s and sounds FRESHER now. I miss the old in -flames.

  • No Doubt...This is easily one of the Best Melodic Death Metal albums ever!!! and one of their greatest songs!!

  • @garryOBJ

    Whoracle = MasterWork

  • @garryOBJ

    Couldn't agree more!

  • @garryOBJ right, hands down!

  • @garryOBJ you DO realize that this is not their song right? it's a cover from a band called "The Tea Party"

  • @demonholocaust101 Just because it has the same name doesn't make it a cover. They sound nothing alike.

  • @demonholocaust101

I looked that up... you fail.

They have a song called gyroscope with a different melody and other lyrics the song came out the same year whoracle was released...and I seriously doubt that (old) In Flames would seek for inspiration in some pop or whateverthatwas songs.

IN FLAMES deserves all the credit for this song and you fail.

  • @demonholocaust101 What an idiot

  • @demonholocaust101 You're a fucking idiot..

  • IN ANAL SEX I TRUST. btw, this song is epic, so is the whole whoracle album. best riffs IF has offered (jester race is pretty good too).

  • i agree. best riffs ever offered.

but your mum was better last night ;)

  • best in flames album, best song of best album. that's simple

  • Indeed, Whoracle is great.

  • @kossagrus

    Yep.

  • @kossagrus moonshield tops it to be honest

  • @kossagrus forgot possibly best band...

  • @kossagrus I think most would agree The Jester Race was In Flame's masterpiece.

  • my favorite in flames

    song of all time...

this was the song that made me fall in love with them.......

pretty cheesy i know... but its the truth

  • In Flames we trust!!!....Suriname

  • ONE MALAYSIA!!!!

  • IN FLAMES WE TRUUUST CANADA!!!

  • o¤º°¨ ¸„ø¤º°¨°º¤ø„¸¨°º¤ø„

¨°º¤ø„ ¸In Flames We Trust. canada :P love this song

    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º „¸¨º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º

  • favourite vocals: In Flames, Lamb of God, Michael Jackson, Cake

  • random, but nice lol

  • i listen to this song every morning. i love it soo much..In flames we trsut!<3

  • damn, Ive always loved anders voice, whether it be on this album or a sense of purpose. Its damn near perfect, you can understand it, and it keeps within the musics melody. A lot of bands could learn from this

  • WHY!!!!!!!!??? a sensless purpose doesnt even have any melody, this song is a masterpiece but a "sense" of "purpose" does not even have voice in the entire albun, just anders crying about how he lost a girl and that he is sad, so fucking sad

  • ...agreed

  • A diabolical sequence of stabs

    Written in cutting stone

From the fossilized den of thieves

    Our lives die

  • That part gives me shivers, its so BAD ASS

  • he doesnt actually sing "breasts ripe" (with smogfilled rebellion)

    wonder if he did live

  • "Neo-wolf, but older again

    Than the Lupus itself

Linked its fur to the gyro-scope of time

    A collection of failures"

  • As an amatuer metal vocalist I would like to point out how extraordinary Anders Fridéns voice is in the old albums. Its not only growls, but there's a clear voice within it somehow. Amazing.

I also think that his new vocal style is good, if only because he is one of the best live-performing vocalists in his genre imo. For comparison, my biggest inspiration, Mikael Stanne, sounds like shit live (sometimes)...

  • That's called layering, I can hear it in certain parts. Studio technique, nothing more.

  • You missunderstood me, Im not talking about two voices but rather that his technique of growling is nice. It have got a kind of distortion to it that allows you to hear some of his normal voice. As opposed to vocalists that have only distortion, making them sound completly inhuman. (which can be good in another way) I prefer techniques where you can tell more easy that there is an human voice in it.

  • Also,I must ad that Mikael Stanne sounds very good live, when his voice is not broken. Did not mean to bash him :)

  • I'm glad In Flames can actually make a living off their music now....that doesn't change the fact that everything after clayman has been complete crap. I tried to like their new albums. but the longer i listened to them, the more boring and uninspired they became. In Flames died after clayman, but at least I still got 5 awesome albums to listen to.

  • I totally agree.

  • Old IF in our memory...4ever.

  • This song just kicks so much ass i would argue this is among their best peices of work. Hands down inthe top 5 In Flames songs

  • I have a new perspective. In some ways In Flames are like Metallica! Both are one of the forerunners of their subgenres (Metallica - thrash metal & In Flames - Melodic death metal). Both were absolutely awesome upto a certain point then turned somewhat sellouts (Metallica - pre Black Album & In Flames - until Clayman). Now the big question is will In Flames become as big as Metallica??? Comments folks and.....almost forgot IN FLAMES WE (still) TRUST.
