  • maybe a wind mill to wind up the water with a Archimedes screw would finish of a most bodacaious project well done you clever peeps...

  • The plants in the drum clean the detergent water enough for it not to spoil the soil for the rice,

Birds are welcome and are entitled to their share of the crop. Have not had any other pests except monkeys which are a bit difficult to handle :)

  • @zenrainman Hi i am an amateur :) I have a few questions for you

    1) Wont the detergent you use spoil the soil where you are planting rice?

    2) How do you handle birds and pests? Do you use chemicals or some natural method?

  • 210 kgs of rice from your rooftop per year using household detergent laden wastewater and phragmites as initial filter -- this is urban brilliance. I hope we can replicate your work around the world! Keep doing your great experiments and posting them -- we draw inspiration from you for our Solar CITIES work in Africa and the Middle East. Namaste!

  • This is beyond what i ever could dream of. Your House is the future, we need to spread this!

I live in sweden and all we talk about is: What can we do about pollution, waste and the greenhouse effect?

This is a step in to the future and the solution of many of our problems.

    Plz, keep us updated..
