I mean I always thought the engine was the leader in the operation since like I first started taking a liking to emergency vehicles.

it is prefered that the ladder gets there first to conduct a primary search, to locate the fire, and to vent the building

I stopped to visit before i went to fenway park...wanted to take some pics of the trucks....I was bs'n with one of the firefighters when this call came in.

@colepre4849 The ladder was going down a hill responding to a call. The brakes failed and the truck hit the building at the bottom of the hill. As sad as it is that LT Kelly died, and that is very sad, it could have been much worse. Inside the building, which was brick and fortunately held, were several small children attending some classes. They received some cuts and minor injuries, but all were ok. RIP Lt Kelly.

Unfortunatley today (1/9/2009) Ladder 26 was involved in an accident by going down a hill and going through the front of a building. Even more unfortunate news, the Officer on Ladder 26 was killed in the accident.

i would assume it was something with car 5...because those are the tones for their firehouse, so i would assume its for district 5 or car 5 to actually respond somewhere
