The narration within the video makes it clear that the described setup is completely "public" and insecure. Securing this setup is a different subject, and is best handled by enabling the well-known "WPA" encryption.

pretty straightforward. However, I personally didn't see any point in making this video so long (or making it at all). Most people would know how to plug in/connect a ethernet port to the travel router and then connect the computer through to the network.

Thats a bit complicated for the amount of characters I am allowed to use here, and this has just utilized much of that. lol. Do research. Depends on what you want out of it. Get what you pay for... make sure all your equipment is compatible with the rest, e.g. 802.11 A,B,G,N etc..
