O'Reilly is fairer than some othe rFox hosts; he's not a doctrinaire ultraconservative. & he sometimes makes modest concessions to the other side rather than go off into la-la land & look like a fool. However, his preferences clearly show. For instance, in his lengthy pre-election interviews with McCain & Obama, he gave McCain medium-ball questions, allowed him plenty of time to answer, & didn't ask follow-ups. He cut Obama off about every ten seconds, threw hardballs, & followed up.
