2003, USC beat Auburn 24-17 2004, USC beat Auburn 23-0 2005, USC beat Arkansas 70-17 2006 USC beat Arkaknsas 50-14. Arkansas played in the 2006 SEC championship game. USC also beat in the 2000's: Iowa, Penn State, VT, Michigan twice, Ohio State twice, Nebraska twice, Oklahoma, 55-14 in the 2005 national championship. Notre Dame 8 out of 9 years. USC: voted by S.I. and ESPN as college football team of the decade. 11 nat. championships, 7 Heisman winners.
My team is an ACC team so I'm kinda neutral but nothing is more annoying than pac 10, big 10, and big 12 fans throwing out random stats acting like their cnferences are as good as the SEC. You are in denial. What other conference can you say 1/2 of the teams have a legit shot at being national champions every year? Do you really think Oklahoma State, Stanford, or Wisconsin would make it to the SEC championship? Watch what happens to A&M next year.
About half of those big 10 national championships came before any of you were probably born. So new argument from you guys bragging about ncs before the 1960's. At least 17 before the 60's for the Big 10. pretty irrelevant. At most 7 from the sec. Doubt its that many. But the northern states started football earlier than the south. So now that the north and south are on similar levels in terms of money and athlete populations its easier to see which conference reigns supreme. SEC!!!!
Why is it that these weak ass schools always try to compete with the SEC, and the teams they beat can lose in the WAC. Just like Oregon v.s. Tennessee in '10 and Boise vs UGA this year. Play a team in the West. What's up with you schools just playing East teams. Scary asses. NOTE: The East is on the rise, including Vanderbilt and the West can be one conference by itself with 6 teams that can win everyday. SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC !!!!!
THAT INDIAN DUDE DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK HE WAS TALKING ABOUT..EVERYNE WANTS TO BE LIEK USC??? EVERYONE WANTS MATT LENINART,CARSON PALMER,REGGIE BUSH?? LMFAOOO WAS A JOKE
SEC.. Without a doubt, wanna check the bowls from last year? The best team in the big 10 had a close game with a team that got 3rd in the SEC west....
a majority of national championships and wins of the big ten came from a long time ago. But that could have possibly been an effect from population and money advantages from back then. No one ever considers that. More people means more athletes to choose from, more people means more money. More money leads to recruiting advantages, better facilities, etc. I think the sec has just caught up now.
The only reason the SEC ever does good is because they start 6-0 against the worst teams in the history of ever! Week 1- Alabama defeats South-Western Louisiana State Tech A&M A&T Northern Community College 80-0. Whats new? lol
@JRRingling004 Yeah the SEC loves to talk trash even to teams that OWN them. .like Texas, OU and Nebraska. . ..SEC fans just ignore the numbers and stats and spout diahrrea. . .
the pac 10 only has usc (even tho theyve cheated), oregon, and stanford, cal, and ucla alternate. USC and oregon has been the only teams to reach the bcs national title game. The SEC has 5 different championship teams. Not counting the title game that the BCS stripped of USC, the Pac 10 has only one national title. Plus the SEC was the first Conference i think to have 10 teams go to a bowl. Or be bowl eligible or something. SEC wins. I still give pac 10 their props because wsu is the only slouch
oregon and stanford are coming up, USC is in a tremble, but they will be back up... if oregon beats lsu in the opener, the pac 12 will make a statement
hey California has the most players in the NFL.... Clay Mathews, Aaron Rogers, Troy Polamalu, Desean Jackson just to name a few.... Cal and USC alone make the NFL... hardly if any of the boys from cali play in the SEC, so in the end Pac 10 wins
this is way better than the espn boards, you can actually reply to ppl on here and dnt have to keep refreshing the page to see their reply. bunch of chumps on espn who wouldnt say half the stuff they say there on here cuz their pride would get severly beat down when the read the replies from here that someone would send them
my school is ohio state but the sec has the sec is better because ohio state is the big ten and theyre are many good teams in the sec, theyre are some okay teams in the big ten but ohio state is the absolute best in that conference
Sec is the best, most of the top recruits go to a sec school. Every year they have team winning a national championship. Big ten sucks, PAC ten is okay. They are not the conference without USC. Big Ten all they talk about is Ohio state and sometimes other teams, but mainly Ohio state. So Big ten and PAC Ten are a one team league. Big Ten might have won more championship, but sec is taking over

alabama murders michigan state and they are like the 2nd best team in the big ten. miss state is a mediocre team in the sec, yet puts up 52 against mich. ohio gets by arkansas after almost blowing a 3 td lead, and florida beats penn state. ohio fans wana talk about bcs bowl wins, but never hardly wana bring up bcs TITLE games because the sec clearly outshines them, with both title losses being to the sec and the sec being a perfect 7-0 in bcs title games including 5 straight wins. SEC RULES.
the PAC 10 has the most national team championships than any other conference. UCLA, Stanford, and USC are the top 3 in all of college sports in titles. PAC 10 owns in sports, i know this is football, but still....damn
SEC is the best conference and the arugment i'd like to make is im not gonna say names but a **** state has lost 2 national championships in a row to a SEC school and this past bowl season was a nightmare for the big ten vs sec teams and i know people are gonna say ohio state beat arkansas well guess wut u cant win them all but ive been a SEC fan for a long time jus sayin before ppl start acussin me of bandwagon but im willing to argue with any conference and some fans from boise st., utah, tcu
dude it was ohio states first ever victory over an SEC team ina bowl..get ur head out of ur ass. and your beloved buckeyes almost blew it with 5 players that shudnt even hav played. good luck next season in ur first 5 games
this is no argument the SEC has been in and won the last 5 NC and there in another this year...how can any confrence be better?....by the way #1 Auburn #7 Arkansas and #10 LSU!??? 3 SEC teams in the top ten?
Why does anybody think any other team can compete? The SEC is the best conference is the best conference. Why would you even doubt it?Look at TCU's and Boise State's schedules. They play the SEC's season openers all year long.I want to see them or another "team" play Alabama,Auburn,LSU,Tennessee,Georgia,Kentucky,Florida week in and out.Enough said.
@TheNuclearNinjaTeam As much as I despise the WAC and this year's MWC (Utah and BYU aren't what they should have been), I don't agree with your statement. The SEC may be the strongest conference, but listing Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky as especially tough teams is wrong. They're nothing special this year and would be mid range in any respectable conference.
@NoOne3234 I see your point, but majority of the teams hit cycles, most of them bad this year, and besides those teams may not look good in the SEC but let them play Boise,TCU,and even Oregon's schedule and they would go undefated too. Also one of the teams they play in regular season,90% of the time, play in the BCS National Championship.
The records 11-9 as for the pac 10 being stronger look at when they will schedule an sec game. They play the SEC teams when they are having bad years and aren't doing anything, USC vs Auburn 2003 wouldn't play them in 2004 even though Tubberville requested the game, instead they played Arkansas another team that was weak in that year. UCLA played a Good Tennessee team and got killed then waited Until their seniors and good players left to challenge them again.
Oregon is a good team this year but i don't think they'll beat Auburn this year. As for everyone going on about PAC 10 teams beating Ohio State. The buckeyes are 0-9 against SEC teams. You want proof look up OSU vs SEC here on you tube, ESPN, or any other source you want to.
@GokuSS31 um Arkansas won the SEC west in 2006. Southern Cal beat them 50-14 at Arkansas the same year... Auburn was #2 or something when they got shut out at home 23-0
@Rac665 The SEC continues to dominate the postseason (championships and bowl games). Quit acting like the SEC was only good in the 1800's. They have more championships than the PAC - 10 and more bowl wins in the last 10 years. Congrats for having a better record in regular season play against the SEC's weakest teams. Since 1998: (SEC: 6 championships, PAC-10: 1).
who said anything about the SEC in the 1800's. And i never knew Auburn and Tennessee was so weak. Your words not mine. Then lets put it like this. weak PAC 10 teams vs. weak SEC 11-6 happy now?
You keep talking about an "all time" SEC vs PAC 10 record. If you want to use the "All-time" logic that you love, then yeah Yale and Princeton are better than any team out of the SEC. By the way, 11-6 is what i got off SEC Sports fan website. 11-7 off the WSJ. Oh by the way, PAC 10 has a slightly greater winning percentage over the SEC when against other teams from other BCS Conferences
@volunteernation16 Good point I fully agree with you.A player out Georgia or Florida is a lot better than one out of Texas or California. That's why even they get top recruits, their recruits aren't as good as half an SEC's team
well obviously 11-6 tells you its a recent tally. as in last 10 years. if your gonna go that route and use "all-time" well shit, the SEC is crap then. And Princeton University is tops with 28 national championships from 1869-1935. And remember there was no FBS/FCS or Div 1A/1AA in those days. So using your logic. Fuck Auburn and Oregon, the Pac-10/Big-10/SEC, Princeton and Yale hold the most National Championships than any other program. Volunteernation16 you use good logic.
Uh, i would be a shamed of being a "Fan" of ANY college team unless i actually went to College. Hope you went to college since this is such a big deal for you. Oh and Yeah Princeton and Yale both hold the most national championships.
@Rac665 Really? You give them the National Championships from back then when most schools had barely even started or even had a football program.Other schools didnt even have a chance. They say certain teams and conferences hit cycles, but it will be a long time,if ever, until either of those teams win another National Championship.
His NC numbers are skewed, he counts championships that werent even in the poll era..fair enough, but that would mean the Ivy league is the best bc princeton and yale have 44 combined. Plus Penn state won both of theirs as an independent.
The SEC always get upsets from from teams like UCLA or Washington. Although the SEC has the majority of there teams on the Top 25 doesnt mean they are good all around. the SEC has more teams in its conference. in the PAC-10, it just isnt USC and Oregon. Theres Arizona, Cal, Stanford, Oregon state and Washington who all upset powerhouses.
USC specifically has the most players sent to the NFL of any of these teams. The sec maybe the best but can't rule out the PAC ten. Ucla beat tenn last year.
SEC fans root the entire conference. When there is a SEC champion, like Alabama was this year, all of the SEC fans suddenly become Alabama fans. GO BUCKS!
@Buckeyefan102 Why is that a bad thing? SEC fans support their favorite team first, and their conference second. And I promise you, there were very few Auburn fans who were Alabama fans during the NC game. That shows CLASS, to root for the team representing your fave's conference. Oh, no wonder it makes no sense to you.
@Jeff2870 Of course I root for the Big 10 in out of conference games and bowl games! I mean the SEC fans that say that they like their team, but when they start losing, jump on a different team's bandwagon who is doing good.
@Buckeyefan102 I wish we ('Bama) were playing you guys on Sept. 11th instead of Penn State. With our teams starting the year #1 and #2, with some luck we may see each other in the title game!
y do people put long ass cooments tht try to make a point cmon. no conference can be the bestt. there all great. even tho honestly think usc is the best. like if u combine all the sec teams awards nd championships. nd heisman winners u get usc
Hold on name the time a SEC team got caught cheating O-State vs Miami cheated.Pac10 the reggie bush year's cheated taking money Oklahoma cheated. let's keep going hands down the SEC is the best Conference.
maybe sec is the best right now but there not best of all time, maybe a few more years then its gunna be another conference dominating college football
isnt Big 10 trend setters, when we grabbed Nebraska the big 12 flopped, everyone got scared and started grabbing whoever they could, even the Big 10 network was a true stroke of genius, and lastly, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Bo Pelini, and a slew of others, where did they come from..............how about the Buckeye State. Big 10 country affects the world when it comes to football.
@Cand100Cproductions your acting like national championships make the whole conference the best. if you look at the conferences top to bottom the big ten is better, the sec has alabama, florida is about even with iowa and ohio state and then the middle and bottom of the pack big ten teams are better than the middle and bottom of the pack sec teams
the reason they call the PAC 10 the best football conference is because they are! it has nothing to do with there records against the SEC. wen u look at it, alot of the best football players come from the pac 10. Ya we had Ryan Leaf. but you had Jamarcus Russell. u guys beat teams that are not even contenders or young teams trying to rebuild. Look at the Pac 10's bowl game records and there scores. in my opinion, Pac 10 all the way!
lol comparing Purdue and Florida? and Indiana with LSU, Alabama with Minnesota? I agree the SEC has the power houses but they're so top heavy it's not even funny. Why don't we compare tOSU vs Vandy, Iowa vs Miss State, PSU vs Kentuky. Oh btw, how did LSU do against Penn State?
@spamuel615 SEC Teams perform well in the big games which has .737 is the record in all BCS games. They have NEVER lost a national title. Not saying this will continue in the future, but like you say "look at recent history". Before you go to say we are top heavy, we've had 5 different schools win a NC game and all of our schools have won a bowl game in the last 5 years(1st in NCAA history)! SEC SEC
@blairjs SEC never lost a National Title. . . friend you better go do some homework. . . Nebraska played LSU in 1970 for the National title . .what happened?. . Nebraska played Alabama in 1971 for the National title, what happened?. Nebraska ripped Florida into little bits of gator meat in 95 for the title. . . .In fact . . .Nebraska OWNS the SEC in all time wins/losses 19-6. . .go do ur homework bud. . .or else ur soundin prettty stupid.
@LincolnBoy71 the bcs era started in 98 dude lol.....sorry. With 7 titles in the past 13 years and nebraska only beating tennessee once, The SEC has outshined other conferences in this era, including nebraska, since 5 teams have won a BCS title. Nebraska hasn't won one yet and hasn't won one since 1995.
@LincolnBoy71 And like i told u in a earlier convo on another video months ago, nebraska owns the sec throughout history, but not in the BCS era and we saw that today against south carolina. Lost 30-13 and the starting QB and RB wasn't even playing. Yall are now 1-3 against the SEC in the BCS era. Plus the National Title Game speaks for itself. Nebraska has had their heyday, and now the SEC is having theirs.
@spamuel615 believe it or not Vandy wud giv "the" Ohio State a run for their money. Navy sure did..and so did (1-7) purdue so lets not go there. Miss State has a nasty underrated defense so dnt be so sure that Iowa wud com thru. and yes, LSU has awful clock management. any SEC fan cud tell you that. but lets look at the "new/young" alabama crimson tide that played a "powerful" PSU team..bama completely shut them down with freshman and sophmores. and "the" ohio state is 0-9 in bowl games vs SEC.
@TheWillxdavid35 Congrats on posting on a year long post. As Alabama was new/young so was Penn State. All 3 starting LB drafted into the NFL, a DT that was the defensive player of the conference, and 2 TEs to NFL, the QB was a one time offensive player of the conference. But apparently only Bama was young huh. I can care less how well the Ohio State does against the SEC, just my team
@TheWillxdavid35 : So the school who has the most BCS bowl victories (Ohio State) should worry about Vandy...even though they just beat the SEC's #2 team (8th ranked Arkansas)??
In an attempt to resolve the debate, let me ask SEC fans this... If you took out Alabama, Florida, LSU, Mississippi and Georgia.... What competitive team would be left from the remaining 7 teams? Maybe Auburn.
If the Big Ten lost Ohio State, Penn State, Iowa, Wisconsin.. leaving 7 teams.. You'd still have Michigan, Northwestern, Illinois, Michigan State...
Part of the reason Big Ten teams don't make bcs as frequently is because they actually have CONSISTENTLY COMPETITIVE schedules.
The conference of the decade was the SEC. The best conference right now is still the SEC. Out of all of the BCS conferences, the SEC has the most non-conference wins. The SEC has the most teams with winning records (10 teams). The Big10 has 5 winning teams and the Pac10 has 7 winning teams.
Okay wow....sec guy you picked your strongest teams against our weakiest fair? no... so how about Ohio state > Vanderbilt, Iowa > Arkansas, Penn State > Kentucky...hmmm are YOU serious??
Its even. SEC vs Big Ten in the 2000s: In the 2000s, the Big Ten and SEC have played each other in 27 bowl games. The record is: 14-13. Also, SEC vs Big Ten NFL draft picks: 364-351.
One more thing: Heisman winners don't make a conference. Much has been made about Alabama's lack of Heisman winners. The fact is, Alabama fields great teams, not teams with one great player. They have always, ALWAYS emphasized the team concept over individual awards.
Alabama has more bowl wins (31) and more bowl invitations (59) than any other team in the country. And despite the SEC having fewer BCS Bowl invitations, they have made more out of their opportunities. The last 3 years (4 after Jan. 8th) proves their superiority. The Big 10 has 1 BCS title....and needed overtime to get that. Alabama also has more 10-0 starts (17) than anyone else, more 11-0 starts (13) than anybody....I'm a Bama fan, so say what you want....WE RULE
i dont understand why alot of people say that the big ten struggles against the sec in bowl games. the 06, 07, 08 bowl games, the big ten went 4-4 against the sec. i dont exactly consider that struggling
The Big Ten HAS been beating them lately, too! Iowa destroying South Carolina last year... Michigan dominating much higher-ranked Florida the year before... Every year this happens! I can't wait to see it this year, and for SEC fans to point to their Crimson Tide again and say "look how good our CONFERENCE is."
I hate the twisted logic of SEC fans. I could select teams and do that as well... Arkansas < Michigan, Vanderbilt < Minnesota, South Carolina < Iowa... the list goes on. SEC is the most overrated conference EVER, and the ASSUMPTION that they are so good is what gives too much weight to their schedule and puts them in the big bowl games when you have better teams like TCU or Boise State that should be in the championship.
Yeah. Look what Florida did to Cincinnati. The SEC isn't overrated at all. Out of all of the BCS conferences, the SEC has the most non-conference wins. They have the most winning teams too. Bottom line, the SEC is currently the best conference.
you're misunderstanding what I mean - I mean even if they made that FG, they would need another one after that to get ahead or tie... without a kicker, who are you going to rely on to make the long FG? The coach knew it had to be a gamble one way or another.
man can't nobody touch the sec all these teams you see with a bad record look who the play week in and week out. the sec has 6 teams in the top ten recruiting for 2010 so its only looking worse. i bet osu couldn't beat mississippi state lol other conferences are a joke the acc is lookin better though not with bama shutting va down though at the beginning of the year SEC will always be the best
Looks like Big-10 retro-lovers are the ones that never learn. There is not 1 single team in the Big-10 that could beat Alabama, Florida, LSU this year. Keep on with that "but we used to be the greatest! Really, man! Back in yesteryear, we was so damn good!" So sorry dumbass, but the SEC is the best RIGHT NOW. Top 2 teams in the country. Who else can claim that? Uhhh....ummmm.....NOT THE SUCK-ASS Big 10, bitch! Does that fagleague even have a top-10 program this year?!?
1st of all Ohio state is a top 10 team this year and the only reason Penn state and Iowa Arent is bcuz we beat them. Y r u talkin about retro u brought up the great bear Bryant teams of bama in the 70s. So wen we bring up our classic teams u sayin "ya ya some old shit" dude stop haten Archie griffin 2 time heisman winner my buckeyes have the no other team has haha. Top 2 college player of alltime tebow can't hold his jock strap tebow ain't close to the top 5.
You are an idiot. I brought up Bear Bryant because you ignorantly claimed the SEC had no tradition. YOU brought up all that retro shit claiming (also ignorantly) that this made the Big-10 superior. I can assure you that NOBODY agrees with you except other jealous Big-10 fans. My team is the CRIMSON TIDE motherfucker, and you WISH your suckass team had the opportunity we have after destroying Teblow tonight. WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT O.K. TEAMS WHO HAD ONE GREAT PLAYER? You are so weak....
In overall tradition Jeff, the Big 10 is far superior. You can bring up the Legendary Bear Bryant but did you forget about Woody Hayes? (Who taught Lou Holtz when Lou was OSU's assistant coach) Joe Paterno? Bo Schembeckler? (SP) Those are only 4 of the top of my head. The SEC has been tough the last few years but go back decades and decades of Big 10 domination. THAT'S tradition. And calm down there big guy, its only a discussion. You know what they say about fighting on the internet, right?...
Look, my point was NOW. The HERE AND NOW. And right now, all the Big-10 has is "used-to-be" accolades. The Big-10 is without a doubt the weakest conference of the majors right now. Of course they used to be one of the best, year in and year out. I hope Paterno retires soon, or he will be treated like Bobby Bowden was at FSU. He should go out a winner. The thing is, I don't see things changing for the better for Big-10 teams anytime soon.
WOAH im not tryin to start a argument but come on the big ten is not the weakest outta the bcs confrences we can beat any confrence just look at this bowl season 1-0 vs pac10, 1-1 vs sec, 1-0 vs ACC, 0-1 vs Big12 and minn should have beat iowa st if dude didnt fumble. the big ten is doin the best rite now in these bowl games period. my bucks beat them ducks. the acc blows and the big east weak any big ten team can beat those teams wisconsin beAT the so called speedy miami team pennst beat lsu
Not quite, jmaal....your conference is 3-3, the SEC is doing better at 5-4 with Alabama still waiting to play....unbelievably, the Mountain West has the best bowl record right now at 4-0.
@Jeff2870 i commented yesterday wen we where 3-2 we still r doing good northwestern should have beat auburn minn should have beat iowa st. and u guys gotta look at the fact that the sec has more teams than any confrence thats y they lok so much more dominant back in the day they had to take other teams out bcuz yall had so many teams there. iowa is gonna beat georgia tech on tuesday so thatll make us 4-3 witta winning bowl record. but atleast my bucks beat them ducks. pac10 blows in these bowls
Yeah, I noticed that you posted before some of the games were finished. The Bowl season has become so diluted now that almost any team out there that manages to win 6 games against Div. 1 competition gets a bowl bid. While I am proud that 10 of 12 SEC teams got bowl bids, I feel like maybe only 8 deserved them. And Auburn had the luck of Satan against N'Western....but NW hasn't won a bowl game since like 1946 or something....that had to affect their heads a little bit....
yea i agree yall did get a bunch of bowl bids thats how u guys always maintane a winning record but its all good there the best confrence this decade. the next decade that were starting is gonna be quite interesting. no tebow no colt alot of guys goin pro this season
@vladradforpres5 y cant usc never make it back to the bcs chip? y did they play n the emerald bowl this year? thee answer is bcuz they sucked balls and they wur overrated
@jmaal2345 lets not talk about overrated my big 10 friend. True or false. Has USC destroyed Ohio State these past few seasons? Did they not murder Penn State in the bowl game last season? The problem with Big 10 sports in general is that you guys have too many unathletic midwest farm boys and not enough athletes
@vladradforpres5 OSU can beat USC. The alltime series is only 13-9. Most Pac-10 teams have not won 9 games against USC in 50 tries. USC is a great program probably only 2nd to Bama. There are lots of historically good programs with weak records against SC Texas 1-7 'Bama etc, Oklahoma etc.
@buckeye10014 And lets not pretend that if Tressel doesn't go conservative in the last meeting that OSU does not beat USC. That loss strictly goes on Jim's shoulders because for 3 1/2 quarters TOSU was the better team. USC had the fortitude to come back and win yes, but without the conservatism thats at least 18-10 and possibly more before the final drive.
plus..Total bowl victories...86-91-6 IN FAVOR OF THE BIG TEN
And as far as tradition goes...Big Ten's recent success against the league: a 2-1 record against SEC teams in bowl games last season; an 8-6 record against SEC teams in bowl games the last five years; and 15 BCS berths to the SEC's 13.
Big Ten teams have produced five Heisman Trophy winners in the past 15 years, compared to the SEC's one.
And Michigan is the winningest program of all time despite their miserable past few years.
If Auburn didn't take out the kicker, I think they would have just taken the FG. What's the point of going FG for FG in OT if you have nobody to kick?
Right on, the 2 teams in the ACC Championship game BOTH lost to 7-5 SEC teams last week. This little boner keeps going on and on about "rich tradition", like Bama's 12 Nat'l Titles, UF's incredible Spurrier years, UGA's out-of-conf. dominance counts for nothing....there are countless other feats only the SEC can claim. (most Bowl victories....most Bowl invitations...)
So after this year, Florida will not be the #1 team and suffer their first loss after winning 30+ in a row. My take on Preseason: 1. Florida 2. Winner of Sugar Bowl 3. Texas 4. Boise (If they win Fiesta) or Cincinnati 5. Cincinnati or Ohio St (If they win Rose Bowl) 6. Iowa (If they win Fiesta) or Cincinnati 7. TCU (If they lose Sugar Bowl) or Oregon (If they win Rose Bowl) 8. Georgia Tech 9. Penn State 10. LSU
@jmaal2345 You are the dumbest motherfucker I have ever had the misfortune to run across. If Notre Dame, Michigan, or any of the other has-beens you mentioned were ">" than Alabama, then they would be the ones who have won 24 of their last 26 games, moron. And if you are "lol" at Bama for losing to Utah last year, it may surprise you to know that EVERY team Utah played lost....they were the ONLY undefeated team, remember? Navy beat N.D., and they need a new coach. Get over your jealousy of SEC.
Look bitch y would I be jealous of the sec and my big ten has more championships? Stupid bitch. Hamas legacy is nowhere here mich and notre fucker. Espn ranked the top 5 programs of all time Oklahoma USC Ohio state notre dame Nebraska and there dead on accurate. Bama ain't won notin since 92 and they ain't gon win shit this year. Wut r u fuckin upsest wit me or somethin u a faggot? Quit commenting to me I already smashed u. 2003 USC would smash any bama team period
2003 has been over for 6 years now, you fucking imbecile." Oh, but Notre Dame 1945 would beat Bama today, and 1831 Deadwood Gulch would beat Florida" Ha Ha shut up that weak-assed used-to-be bullshit! How about this: 2009 SEC > the rest of college football. Also: 2008. Also: 2007. Also:2006.....you are so weak, you little fuckburger! Every single conference is better than the Big-10 this year! They got NOTHIN'! ZERO!
Stfu the big ten would smash the big east and the acc and most of the weak ass big 12 and. The big ten has 39 national championshps sec has 25 stupid ass. Fuck wut u say the big ten has tradition and u cant take it. U sec dudes Neva give no props I already said the sec is the best rite now but There no the best alltime to me. Good luck against Florida 2nite I hope y'all win. Ohio state could beat lsu ur on crack. Lsu sucks dick who have they beaten they haven't even beat anybody n the top 10
Don't tell me I don't give props. This whole thing started over you claiming the Big-10 is superior to the SEC. Maybe they used to be, but right now (and if you know jack shit about recruiting, for a long, long time to come) the SEC is head and shoulders above the entire rest of the pack. Even in down years the SEC boasts as many as 8-9 teams capable of beating anybody on a given Saturday.
Dude it's my opinion that I think were the best confrence of alltime. Buy I think the sec is better rite now and this decade I'm not denying that bro. We have 39 titles y couldn't I think that. But I Neva said u guys weren't good or nowhere near ou level u guys r on our level I just think we got the slight edge in overall history that's all. Bama is the shit I go for them al the time just like 2nite
@jmaal2345 "the big 10 has 39 and the SEC 25"? what statistic r u using,is this before the poll rating that started in the 30's? If you count that, the ivy league is the best conference bc Princeton and Yale have a combined 44.
the sec is the best closely followed by the big twelve if you ask me. the big twelve has texas, oklahoma, mizzou, byu, texas tech, texas atm,and they all conpete. the big twelve is underated, and this is coming from an sec fan.
The sec dosent have the best tradition ur on crack there behind the big ten n second. Different confrences dominate different decades 50s big ten 60s big 12 70s big 12/sec 80s big 12 90s big ten 2000s sec it changes all the time the big ten is weak now for the last 4 years but that dosent mean it's not a good confrence overall. The sec is fun to watch there dominant rite now
um michigan only has 7 titles look it up pac 1+9 sucks big 10 has proven terrible pass years by florida and lsu BEAR BRYANT owned the nation in football usc is going down hill

Watch what happens to A&M next year.
ilpd2001 2 months ago
About half of those big 10 national championships came before any of you were probably born. So new argument from you guys bragging about ncs before the 1960's. At least 17 before the 60's for the Big 10. pretty irrelevant. At most 7 from the sec. Doubt its that many. But the northern states started football earlier than the south. So now that the north and south are on similar levels in terms of money and athlete populations its easier to see which conference reigns supreme. SEC!!!!
zalowery 3 months ago
Why is it that these weak ass schools always try to compete with the SEC, and the teams they beat can lose in the WAC. Just like Oregon v.s. Tennessee in '10 and Boise vs UGA this year. Play a team in the West. What's up with you schools just playing East teams. Scary asses. NOTE: The East is on the rise, including Vanderbilt and the West can be one conference by itself with 6 teams that can win everyday. SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC !!!!!

redarmycccp4russia 5 months ago 2
a majority of national championships and wins of the big ten came from a long time ago. But that could have possibly been an effect from population and money advantages from back then. No one ever considers that. More people means more athletes to choose from, more people means more money. More money leads to recruiting advantages, better facilities, etc. I think the sec has just caught up now.

the pac 10 only has usc (even tho theyve cheated), oregon, and stanford, cal, and ucla alternate.

You can't count Penn State's 2 national titles, they weren't in the Big 10 when they won those titles.

SEC fans have a habit of bragging about games they lost. This is why they are almost universally despised.
Also, any fan that can convince himself that Penn State and Michigan were big ten powerhouses is delusional and should have his head examined.
NoOne3234 1 year ago
alabama murders michigan state and they are like the 2nd best team in the big ten. miss state is a mediocre team in the sec, yet puts up 52 against mich. ohio gets by arkansas after almost blowing a 3 td lead, and florida beats penn state. ohio fans wana talk about bcs bowl wins, but never hardly wana bring up bcs TITLE games because the sec clearly outshines them, with both title losses being to the sec and the sec being a perfect 7-0 in bcs title games including 5 straight wins. SEC RULES.

TheNuclearNinjaTeam 1 year ago
@TheNuclearNinjaTeam As much as I despise the WAC and this year's MWC (Utah and BYU aren't what they should have been), I don't agree with your statement. The SEC may be the strongest conference, but listing Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky as especially tough teams is wrong. They're nothing special this year and would be mid range in any respectable conference.
NoOne3234 1 year ago

GokuSS31 1 year ago
Oregon is a good team this year but i don't think they'll beat Auburn this year. As for everyone going on about PAC 10 teams beating Ohio State. The buckeyes are 0-9 against SEC teams. You want proof look up OSU vs SEC here on you tube, ESPN, or any other source you want to.
GokuSS31 1 year ago
@GokuSS31 um Arkansas won the SEC west in 2006. Southern Cal beat them 50-14 at Arkansas the same year... Auburn was #2 or something when they got shut out at home 23-0

Rac665 1 year ago
@Rac665 The SEC continues to dominate the postseason (championships and bowl games). Quit acting like the SEC was only good in the 1800's. They have more championships than the PAC - 10 and more bowl wins in the last 10 years. Congrats for having a better record in regular season play against the SEC's weakest teams. Since 1998: (SEC: 6 championships, PAC-10: 1).
volunteernation16 1 year ago
@volunteernation16
who said anything about the SEC in the 1800's. And i never knew Auburn and Tennessee was so weak. Your words not mine. Then lets put it like this. weak PAC 10 teams vs. weak SEC 11-6 happy now?
Rac665 1 year ago
@Rac665 you keep talking about princeton and yale who were good back then. BTW 11-6 is not the correct record.
volunteernation16 1 year ago
@volunteernation16
Rac665 1 year ago
@volunteernation16 Good point I fully agree with you.A player out Georgia or Florida is a lot better than one out of Texas or California. That's why even they get top recruits, their recruits aren't as good as half an SEC's team

Pac 10 v. SEC 11-6
Rac665 1 year ago
@Rac665 wrong: SEC vs PAC-10 : 65-39
volunteernation16 1 year ago
@volunteernation16
well obviously 11-6 tells you its a recent tally. as in last 10 years. if your gonna go that route and use "all-time" well shit, the SEC is crap then.
Rac665 1 year ago
@Rac665 using logic the SEC has won the last 4 championships. SEC: 6 ranked teams. PAC 10: 3 ranked teams

Rac665 1 year ago
@Rac665 Really? You give them the National Championships from back then when most schools had barely even started or even had a football program.Other schools didnt even have a chance. They say certain teams and conferences hit cycles, but it will be a long time,if ever, until either of those teams win another National Championship.

The SEC always get upsets from from teams like UCLA or Washington. @Buckeyefan102 Why is that a bad thing? SEC fans support their favorite team first, and their conference second. @spamuel615 how did bama do against penn state
AUfan34 1 year ago
@spamuel615 believe it or not Vandy wud giv "the" Ohio State a run for their money. Navy sure did..and so did (1-7) purdue so lets not go there. Miss State has a nasty underrated defense so dnt be so sure that Iowa wud com thru. and yes, LSU has awful clock management. any SEC fan cud tell you that. but lets look at the "new/young" alabama crimson tide that played a "powerful" PSU team..bama completely shut them down with freshman and sophmores. and "the" ohio state is 0-9 in bowl games vs SEC.
TheWillxdavid35 1 year ago
@TheWillxdavid35 Congrats on posting on a year long post. As Alabama was new/young so was Penn State. All 3 starting LB drafted into the NFL, a DT that was the defensive player of the conference, and 2 TEs to NFL, the QB was a one time offensive player of the conference. But apparently only Bama was young huh. I can care less how well the Ohio State does against the SEC, just my team

Jeff2870 2 years ago
i dont understand why alot of people say that the big ten struggles against the sec in bowl games. the 06, 07, 08 bowl games, the big ten went 4-4 against the sec. i dont exactly consider that struggling
20mp09 2 years ago
The Big Ten HAS been beating them lately, too! Iowa destroying South Carolina last year... Michigan dominating much higher-ranked Florida the year before... Every year this happens! I can't wait to see it this year, and for SEC fans to point to their Crimson Tide again and say "look how good our CONFERENCE is."
sheepburn 2 years ago
I hate the twisted logic of SEC fans. I could select teams and do that as well... Arkansas < Michigan, Vanderbilt < Minnesota, South Carolina < Iowa... the list goes on. SEC is the most overrated conference EVER, and the ASSUMPTION that they are so good is what gives too much weight to their schedule and puts them in the big bowl games when you have better teams like TCU or Boise State that should be in the championship.
sheepburn 2 years ago
Yeah. Look what Florida did to Cincinnati. The SEC isn't overrated at all. Out of all of the BCS conferences, the SEC has the most non-conference wins. They have the most winning teams too. Bottom line, the SEC is currently the best conference.
22dab95 2 years ago
They wur 15 yards out for the kick
jmaal2345 2 years ago
you're misunderstanding what I mean - I mean even if they made that FG, they would need another one after that to get ahead or tie... without a kicker, who are you going to rely on to make the long FG? The coach knew it had to be a gamble one way or another.
sheepburn 2 years ago
man can't nobody touch the sec all these teams you see with a bad record look who the play week in and week out. the sec has 6 teams in the top ten recruiting for 2010 so its only looking worse. i bet osu couldn't beat mississippi state lol other conferences are a joke the acc is lookin better though not with bama shutting va down though at the beginning of the year SEC will always be the best
huntizzy1 2 years ago
The sec will not always be the best lmao. That's so fuckin biased. Sec homers never learn
jmaal2345 2 years ago
Looks like Big-10 retro-lovers are the ones that never learn. There is not 1 single team in the Big-10 that could beat Alabama, Florida, LSU this year. Keep on with that "but we used to be the greatest! Really, man! Back in yesteryear, we was so damn good!" So sorry dumbass, but the SEC is the best RIGHT NOW. Top 2 teams in the country. Who else can claim that? Uhhh....ummmm.....NOT THE SUCK-ASS Big 10, bitch! Does that fagleague even have a top-10 program this year?!?
Jeff2870 2 years ago
1st of all Ohio state is a top 10 team this year and the only reason Penn state and Iowa Arent is bcuz we beat them. Y r u talkin about retro u brought up the great bear Bryant teams of bama in the 70s. So wen we bring up our classic teams u sayin "ya ya some old shit" dude stop haten Archie griffin 2 time heisman winner my buckeyes have the no other team has haha. Top 2 college player of alltime tebow can't hold his jock strap tebow ain't close to the top 5.
jmaal2345 2 years ago
Jeff2870 2 years ago
In overall tradition Jeff, the Big 10 is far superior. You can bring up the Legendary Bear Bryant but did you forget about Woody Hayes? (Who taught Lou Holtz when Lou was OSU's assistant coach) Joe Paterno? Bo Schembeckler? (SP) Those are only 4 of the top of my head. The SEC has been tough the last few years but go back decades and decades of Big 10 domination. THAT'S tradition. And calm down there big guy, its only a discussion. You know what they say about fighting on the internet, right?...
rac189 2 years ago
Look, my point was NOW. The HERE AND NOW. And right now, all the Big-10 has is "used-to-be" accolades. The Big-10 is without a doubt the weakest conference of the majors right now. Of course they used to be one of the best, year in and year out. I hope Paterno retires soon, or he will be treated like Bobby Bowden was at FSU. He should go out a winner. The thing is, I don't see things changing for the better for Big-10 teams anytime soon.
Jeff2870 2 years ago
Actually the weakest major conference is the ACC. The Big10 is in the top 4 for sure and maybe even top 3.
22dab95 2 years ago
WOAH im not tryin to start a argument but come on the big ten is not the weakest outta the bcs confrences we can beat any confrence just look at this bowl season 1-0 vs pac10, 1-1 vs sec, 1-0 vs ACC, 0-1 vs Big12 and minn should have beat iowa st if dude didnt fumble. the big ten is doin the best rite now in these bowl games period. my bucks beat them ducks. the acc blows and the big east weak any big ten team can beat those teams wisconsin beAT the so called speedy miami team pennst beat lsu
jmaal2345 2 years ago
Not quite, jmaal....your conference is 3-3, the SEC is doing better at 5-4 with Alabama still waiting to play....unbelievably, the Mountain West has the best bowl record right now at 4-0.
Jeff2870 2 years ago
@Jeff2870 i commented yesterday wen we where 3-2 we still r doing good northwestern should have beat auburn minn should have beat iowa st. and u guys gotta look at the fact that the sec has more teams than any confrence thats y they lok so much more dominant back in the day they had to take other teams out bcuz yall had so many teams there. iowa is gonna beat georgia tech on tuesday so thatll make us 4-3 witta winning bowl record. but atleast my bucks beat them ducks. pac10 blows in these bowls
jmaal2345 2 years ago
Yeah, I noticed that you posted before some of the games were finished. The Bowl season has become so diluted now that almost any team out there that manages to win 6 games against Div. 1 competition gets a bowl bid. While I am proud that 10 of 12 SEC teams got bowl bids, I feel like maybe only 8 deserved them. And Auburn had the luck of Satan against N'Western....but NW hasn't won a bowl game since like 1946 or something....that had to affect their heads a little bit....
Jeff2870 2 years ago
yea i agree yall did get a bunch of bowl bids thats how u guys always maintane a winning record but its all good there the best confrence this decade. the next decade that were starting is gonna be quite interesting. no tebow no colt alot of guys goin pro this season
jmaal2345 2 years ago
@jmaal2345 why cant ohio state beat usc?
vladradforpres5 1 year ago
@vladradforpres5 y cant usc never make it back to the bcs chip? y did they play n the emerald bowl this year? thee answer is bcuz they sucked balls and they wur overrated
jmaal2345 1 year ago
@jmaal2345 lets not talk about overrated my big 10 friend. True or false. Has USC destroyed Ohio State these past few seasons? Did they not murder Penn State in the bowl game last season? The problem with Big 10 sports in general is that you guys have too many unathletic midwest farm boys and not enough athletes
vladradforpres5 1 year ago
@vladradforpres5 OSU can beat USC. The alltime series is only 13-9. Most Pac-10 teams have not won 9 games against USC in 50 tries. USC is a great program probably only 2nd to Bama. There are lots of historically good programs with weak records against SC Texas 1-7 'Bama etc, Oklahoma etc.
buckeye10014 1 year ago
@buckeye10014 And lets not pretend that if Tressel doesn't go conservative in the last meeting that OSU does not beat USC. That loss strictly goes on Jim's shoulders because for 3 1/2 quarters TOSU was the better team. USC had the fortitude to come back and win yes, but without the conservatism thats at least 18-10 and possibly more before the final drive.
buckeye10014 1 year ago
plus..Total bowl victories...86-91-6 IN FAVOR OF THE BIG TEN
And as far as tradition goes...Big Ten's recent success against the league: a 2-1 record against SEC teams in bowl games last season; an 8-6 record against SEC teams in bowl games the last five years; and 15 BCS berths to the SEC's 13.
Big Ten teams have produced five Heisman Trophy winners in the past 15 years, compared to the SEC's one.
And Michigan is the winningest program of all time despite their miserable past few years.
rac189 2 years ago
Just stop. You're making a fool out of yourself.
22dab95 2 years ago
@22dab95 THE BIG TEN IS BETTER THAN THE PAC10 PAC 10 LOST TO 3 MWC schools a non bcs confrence
jmaal2345 2 years ago
I know it is. I'm saying that the SEC is the best conference. Second is the Big10.
22dab95 2 years ago
ok i can respect that
jmaal2345 2 years ago
and Northwestern should have beat auburn dumb ass coach faked that fieldgoal wutta idiot he could have kicked and got the ball in the 2nd OT
jmaal2345 2 years ago
If Auburn didn't take out the kicker, I think they would have just taken the FG. What's the point of going FG for FG in OT if you have nobody to kick?
sheepburn 2 years ago
Right on, the 2 teams in the ACC Championship game BOTH lost to 7-5 SEC teams last week. This little boner keeps going on and on about "rich tradition", like Bama's 12 Nat'l Titles, UF's incredible Spurrier years, UGA's out-of-conf. dominance counts for nothing....there are countless other feats only the SEC can claim. (most Bowl victories....most Bowl invitations...)

Jeff2870 2 years ago
Look bitch y would I be jealous of the sec and my big ten has more championships? Stupid bitch. Hamas legacy is nowhere here mich and notre fucker. Espn ranked the top 5 programs of all time Oklahoma USC Ohio state notre dame Nebraska and there dead on accurate. Bama ain't won notin since 92 and they ain't gon win shit this year. Wut r u fuckin upsest wit me or somethin u a faggot? Quit commenting to me I already smashed u. 2003 USC would smash any bama team period
jmaal2345 2 years ago
2003 has been over for 6 years now, you fucking imbecile." Oh, but Notre Dame 1945 would beat Bama today, and 1831 Deadwood Gulch would beat Florida" Ha Ha shut up that weak-assed used-to-be bullshit! How about this: 2009 SEC > the rest of college football. Also: 2008. Also: 2007. Also:2006.....you are so weak, you little fuckburger! Every single conference is better than the Big-10 this year! They got NOTHIN'! ZERO!
Jeff2870 2 years ago
Stfu the big ten would smash the big east and the acc and most of the weak ass big 12 and. The big ten has 39 national championshps sec has 25 stupid ass. Fuck wut u say the big ten has tradition and u cant take it. U sec dudes Neva give no props I already said the sec is the best rite now but There no the best alltime to me. Good luck against Florida 2nite I hope y'all win. Ohio state could beat lsu ur on crack. Lsu sucks dick who have they beaten they haven't even beat anybody n the top 10
jmaal2345 2 years ago
Don't tell me I don't give props. This whole thing started over you claiming the Big-10 is superior to the SEC. Maybe they used to be, but right now (and if you know jack shit about recruiting, for a long, long time to come) the SEC is head and shoulders above the entire rest of the pack. Even in down years the SEC boasts as many as 8-9 teams capable of beating anybody on a given Saturday.
Jeff2870 2 years ago
Dude it's my opinion that I think were the best confrence of alltime. Buy I think the sec is better rite now and this decade I'm not denying that bro. We have 39 titles y couldn't I think that. But I Neva said u guys weren't good or nowhere near ou level u guys r on our level I just think we got the slight edge in overall history that's all. Bama is the shit I go for them al the time just like 2nite

@jmaal2345 "the big 10 has 39 and the SEC 25"? what statistic r u using,is this before the poll rating that started in the 30's? If you count that, the ivy league is the best conference bc Princeton and Yale have a combined 44.

My ass dude. You don't know what you're saying.

the sec is the best closely followed by the big twelve if you ask me. the big twelve has texas, oklahoma, mizzou, byu, texas tech, texas atm,and they all conpete. the big twelve is underated, and this is coming from an sec fan.
