Everybody saying they should have kept the last verse in, I agree and disagree. It is incredible, but I don't know if it works with the theme of Kid A. It's an album about feeling alone in the world.This song, to me, acts as a suicidal swan song. The dizzying harps and angelic choir symbolizing he's carrying on to the other side, so the early end works. Plus, this version with the final verse makes it so much more of its own song, so now we can enjoy both amazing versions. Just my two cents. =]
I used to have this on a bootleg tape, in 1998, when I started University.
It was written for OK Computer, but didn't make the cut. So they put it on the next one. But also re-vamped it, and re-imagined it, as their sound had obviously changed quite a lot between albums
@SamTalmadge TNA was written around a bassline Thom came up with as a young teenager. I'm 99% sure that How to Disappear Completely was the one written with Creep. It's on some interview Thom did.
