  • This was written the same day as Creep. For those whom the fact is unknown ;)

  • @Cigotie it was written before Creep

  • @FacultyBob you absolutely right facultyBob, 4 hour before.

  • Everybody saying they should have kept the last verse in, I agree and disagree. It is incredible, but I don't know if it works with the theme of Kid A. It's an album about feeling alone in the world. This song, to me, acts as a suicidal swan song. The dizzying harps and angelic choir symbolizing he's carrying on to the other side, so the early end works. Plus, this version with the final verse makes it so much more of its own song, so now we can enjoy both amazing versions. Just my two cents. =]

  • I used to have this on a bootleg tape, in 1998, when I started University.

It was written for OK Computer, but didn't make the cut. So they put it on the next one. But also re-vamped it, and re-imagined it, as their sound had obviously changed quite a lot between albums

  • oh thom

  • I wish they'd kept the last verse in, but i love both versions of this.

  • Still takes my breath away! :(

  • i can't help but to cry

  • ..mammamia..

  • Really great version, they should have made more like this, the cd version.

  • That's chilling.

  • brillian version .would love to hear this version live

  • I heard somewhere he wrote this song when he was 15 years old. Awesome.

  • @Scott17quebec This song was actually written the same day as Creep

  • @Protostar23 Before Creep, actually.

  • @dudemann5798 he didnt say before or after he said same day

  • @CPRCRRSC Do you know what interview he said that in? I would love to read that / watch it.

    Thanks!

  • @Scott17quebec Nope. That was National Anthem. This was a little after OK Computer tour.

  • @SamTalmadge Moreover, he was 14 then

  • @SamTalmadge TNA was written around a bassline Thom came up with as a young teenager. I'm 99% sure that How to Disappear Completely was the one written with Creep. It's on some interview Thom did.

  • last verse should have stayed i love the last verse
