  • Funny stuff, especially the warning light. There are a lot of other organs out there suffering from stop envy.

  • This made me laugh!!

    Hilarious!

  • Why it says ``Dangerous´´? danger for the people or for the organ-mechanics? or for the air pump??

  • @FNPFAR For anything living in the vicinity :)

  • BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The little light is the best :D

  • Now that's the REAL Kings of Instruments.

  • Just Love that THUNK!

  • Super, wirklich klasse am heutigen Tag!

  • Stop lengths are quoted in feet, in powers of 2, so a 128ft stop is 2 octaves below a 32-footer, in its own turn two octaves below default (8ft) register. Does Germany use a different sign for feet than English-speaking countries?

  • Great video... but just to let you know the sign reads 128" not 128'. " = inch ' = foot. ;)

  • @fishmacblack

Yes, I noticed that too. It IS 128". Now the kicker is that real pipe of that lengh is only about a 10.5 foot pipe. While that is a long pipe it isn't "earth shattering". A full 32' pipe IS, but that is only on the largest of organs As far as I know the longest pipe used in a pipe organ is the 64' pipe on the Atlantic City Convention Hall organ, which is the largest pipe organ in the world. The 64' pipe is a 16hz pipe which is mostly meant to be felt rather than heard.

  • @jukingeo Ok, a bit of a correction on my part. It is the 32 foot pipe that goes down to 16hz, therefore the 64' pipe goes down to 8hz. A 'supposed' 128 foot pipe would go to 4hz. As far as I know a 128' pipe doesn't exist.

  • @jukingeo thank you for your reasoned response, you're absolutely correct. Most 64' stops are "resultants", but there are a few full-length 64's (Atlantic City, Liverpool Cathedral, and, I think I remember hearing of one in Australia. 4 hertz is not audible to the human ear... if a 128' stop actually existed, what we would hear would be the rattling of the components and the surrounding pipes, but we would experience the infrasonics only as a vibration.

  • @skn9895 excellent idea

  • LOOL make a wtf boom video with the same clip xDD

  • this is funny, i appreciate the effort you put in to making this video.

  • I think there is a serious message here; sometimes we organists are so hungry for a big, bigger, BIGGEST sound that we are almost willing to destroy ourselves and everybody else for it!

  • @churchwhistles - oh, stop being such a party-pooper. This was done all in fun.

  • Where did my clothes go?

  • hahaha, my speaker can't play any lower than 16 hz so it's the same XD

  • Is it true? I didn't know such a register could exist... where is the organ?

  • HEEEEEEEEELP!!! MY HOUSE IS FALLING APART!

  • now instead of WMDs the us army is looking for OMDs(organs of mass destruction)

  • @sharkbait1005 I gotcher OMD right here

  • oops!

  • xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • the Organ of Mass Destruction!

  • we need more organs like that.

  • This Is Great!

  • Oh pleeeeeease!!! An insipid thing to be sure! lol

  • that was really great!! i'm crying , haha

  • Good clean humor, that's what I like! Also, that was a beautiful rendition of the "Salve Regina". You are obviously an accomplished organist. Please consider posting the whole performance...

  • Outstandingly funny , well done

  • fat! the voice of Jesus banish the mongers out of the temple...

    great sound

  • Hehe, the sign said128"

How many feet are this? Too lazy to calculate, metric system FTW

  • @Burnt0nCheese 128 feet...

  • @AtheistSense Wrong, " means inch, ' stands for feet.

  • @Burnt0nCheese Yup. The title says 128'

  • @Burnt0nCheese Yeah and the title says 128'

  • Awesome Organ!! Love the 128*

  • You maniacs! You blew it all up!

  • idiocy.

  • What song is this?

    This was moving!!

  • @GrandOphicleide search "Salve Regina"

  • Bloody brilliant.

  • you play it again

  • Hillarious! It was a moving experience.

  • Much fun.

  • Chuck Norr'gan

  • Funny...If only organs could do that I mean of course mine can, but the average one can't)!

  • Very cool! I laughed out loud! You _feel_ that pipe speaking, you sure can't hear it! Thanks for posting.

  • Comment removed

  • you laugh but some of the first largest pipe organs condemed some churches do to the fact of the vibration of the pipes. as a fact also those large wooden pipes could only fit under floor boards in some locations. 128' pipe would be cool but no one can realy hear it speak, this is why the largest remains at 64'.

  • If that was real his ear drums would explode out of his head

  • lol

  • LOL! It's like pulling a stop labeled "Voice of God".

  • WTF

  • WTF

  • Fox news footage, sounds biased to me! ;)

  • You could do the same w/a Vox organ...and a stack of Marshall amps!

  • I don't know how I'd react if my home was being completely destroyed by beautiful music.

  • when he pulled the thing i hate the sound of the THUD O_O

  • there no such thing as dangerous organ sound, what the hell are you talking about

  • @witchcraftlord they're talking about ULF- ultra low frequency.

  • haha great !

  • HA;HA

  • The only organ stop I know of, that I heard of, that could be dangerous, is the Grand Ophicliede, a pedal stop on the Atlantic City Convention Hall organ, a 7manual, 455 rank behemouth. The curator of that organ, has to warn listeners, every time that stop is to be played, so they can cover their ears. Matter of fact, the newsletter, that is put out by the ACCHOS (Atlantic City Convention Hall Organ Society) is named The Grand Ophicliede!

  • reminds me to Salve Regina

  • ROFL

  • this key turn on the 3Mw (Tree MegaWatts)subwoofer driver amplifier....

  • ahahahahhahahaha X>

  • I know this is a fake but I think it's really funny that the "earthquake" footage is on fox news lol. Damn Republicans! Oh, but the organ is amazing!

  • @MrCrowley3845 OMG, republicans suck!

  • @DaJugglingFool I know! Anybody who thinks otherwise is brainwashed by the propaganda! lol

  • @MrCrowley3845 Yeah seriously...total brainwashing. Danger on the right for sure!!

  • fake

  • I wonder what it sounds like if Rick Wakeman is playing on this huge monster....

  • Memo to Howard Goodall: make a sequel to your ORGAN WORKS so you can give your insights on the 128' stop!

  • Really brings down the house

  • I wonder what this would sound like live (or at least with a decent recording)

  • @dddtl Like your deity fucking you up the ass something good.

    ;)

  • Of course all those Shaped Charges, Linear Shape Charges, Delta Beam Cutters, and Dynamite that CDI used might have had more to do with the Controlled Collapse than the Organ Music! Hey, Just saying! Yah ist ein kleine joke!

  • LOL 0:44 : )

  • this wonderfull piece at the end is this an improvisation?

  • I am an organist (love pipes). I laughed so hard I got a cramp!! Hilarious.

  • das ist ein joke!

  • I want a pipe organ just like that . lol

  • That was funny! Why does it actually say danger though? Does it damage the organ if that "danger" thing on too long?

  • @hop208 It's all a joke. Even the Germans have a sense of humour.

  • lol

  • The Show must Go on!

  • 0:54 128' register activated (100% fake)

  • lool :D but it has only 2 manuals... thats not many, in waldsassen ( there where i live ) the organ has 6 manuals :D

  • LOL

  • all of minibeb's videos on this subject are 100% fake garbage. Thanks for mucking up search results for people who are actually interested in this kind of thing.

  • 128'??? Uf... :oD

  • I see why it said DANGER!!

  • Osama Bin Organ

  • @TomMinderson i wonder if they blew that up with the raid too?

  • what is the name of this song?

  • @MultiCthulhu Salve Regina

  • the power of subbass frequency

  • Yes, this is fake but REALLY HILARIOUS! Love it! MORE MORE!

  • that was sooooo fake

  • @allenorgan27 no shit sherlock

  • did he die???

  • The Church is in Germany and is called Catholic city parish of St. Ulrich and Afra. I looked it up

  • that piece gives me goose bumps every time i hear it

  • Hmmm where do I get one of these 128' stops? ... THere are some neighours down the street that I dont like..... can the sounds be focussed like a death ray? a DEATH SOUND RAY!!! thats what I want! LOL

  • ok I want that in my house :)

  • Pretty funny, if not slightly unrealistic!

  • Hi,

welche Kirche ist es in Augsburg?

    lg

  • Notice the dimensions of a space needed to make REAL bass work - all you hi - fi enthusiasts ! LOL

  • i heard that the 64 ft reed in the Sydney town hall organ had to be disabled because the vibrations were messing with foundation of the building and those around it.

  • @CorvetteCoonass holy shit, really?

  • but how is called that theme the organist is playing?

  • LOL 128' stop would make a building rumble?

  • To put it in perspective, the low pedal C of a 128' rank would sound three octaves lower than the lowest C on a piano. In fact, the lowest octave and a half would be inaudible to humans (though one would sense the vibrations). In short, it's a joke, a complete impossibility.

  • what is dangerous about a 128' organ stop?

  • lol there should be a safety latch that you must flick to gain access to that stop!

  • @saswanie

And a lock that requires two keys!

  • HAHAHA

  • was für ein Lied singt denn die Geimeinde???? GL???

  • was für ein Lied singt denn die Geimeinde???? GL???

  • If it doesn't take the buildings down it will pop your dental fillings out. ha

  • LOL

  • i dont know much about organs so what is so dangerous about that stop?

  • @gmangigson The size of the pipe determines how low the sound is. The largest pipe you'll normally see is 32'. You may rarely, as in a handful around the world, see a 64' pipe in an organ. A 128' pipe is an absurd idea and would produce an EXTREMELY low sound, hence the comical destruction of things.

  • @MyBrainInc Very right you are, a 128' pipe would be nearly impossible to craft, and transport, seeing as they CANNOT build these in sections, while i know that it wouild indeed be very low, seeing just a 32' pipe on the lowest pedal is next to inaudible,a pipe of this size would serve no purpose whatsoever, i would have to see it in real life to believe it

  • @gmangigson

Nothing is dangerous about it. It doesn't cause earthquakes. It's just a joke.

  • @Totennebel Oh really? :O

  • @Trommeslagter

    gmangigson was asking.

  • @Totennebel figured

  • LOL

  • fo sho

  • Pretty much would be an earthquake to the building. I know the resultant 64' on the crystal Cathedral organ is enough to upset your stomach with the vibrations if you're near enough to it.

  • other than the humor, nice image and video editing

  • For anyone wishing to locate the university, we have moved two feet to the left again. The repairs to the Tower of Art are scheduled to be completed by 2015.

If you used to live nearby, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

  • What's with the inverted colour keys?

  • @38Squid This is common for Casavant organs, and possibly others.

  • jahej wer will chattn ich ben so gelangweilt ^^ wer will meldet sich

  • This is complete bullshit, and as menschnaschine5 pointed out, there are only two (maybe three) 64' stops in the world. One is in Sydney Town Hall (64' Contra Trombone) and the other, which I think does actually work, is the 64ft Dulzian in Atlantic City. The third one is supoposedly in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, England, but I'm going to have to do a bit more research to find out if it's a true 64' or just a 32' that someone's mistaking for a 64'.

  • The Crystal Cathedral also has a Resultant 64' stop (actual pipe, not a digital voice) on their pipe organ. Can't hear it, but u can really feel it. Really upsets the stomach if you're near it.

  • bullshit!!! there is no 128' register on that organ or on any on this planet. But I have to admit threre is a 32' register and the reeds are incredibly powerful!!! :)

  • I call that the Bombardon!

  • where specifically speaking is this organ in-which church? Is that a 128' reed???? I want to hear a video of the 128' stop alone going down a scale til bottom C. Is there a 64' register adding to that?

  • And organ pipes don't have to be straight, it could go 64', turn around, and go another 64'. As long as the length of the center of the duct is 128' from lip to end, it should be able to make sound with that wavelength.

  • @picardkid

Then again, if they just capped the end of the pipe, a 64' pipe could make a 128' sound.

  • @picardkid There are only two pipes whose actual size is 64 feet in the world. One's in Australia somewhere and the other's in that thing in Atlantic City that doesn't work.

  • 128'!!!! imagine that. and i thought the 32' were low

  • The premise is hilarious, but I'd really love hearing the whole performance. It's the best sounding Salve Regina I've found on the intertubes.

  • Good Lord!

    That's really dangerous :)

    lol

  • täuschend ähnlich! :D

  • a 128' pipe have to be about 40meters high. The inner height of nave of cologne cathedrale is about 45meters and one of the highest of the world. So such a pipe couldn't be in al little church like that!

  • But the sign on the organ says 128" and not 128'. 128 inches would be about 10 1/3 feet.

  • that would make some more sense

  • @DeltaPhi79 I think they label differently in Germany, like using commas as decimals.

    "That pretzel is 1,25 euros"

  • @DeltaPhi79

The ' and " notations are reversed in Europe.

  • @Orgeljunge

The pipes don't necessarily have to point upwards. The orgam at St. Edmunds church in Southampton has several pipes that are laid horizontally and overhang the 'welcome area'.

Die Rohre müssen nicht unbedingt nach oben zeigen. Die orgam in St. Edmunds Kirche in Southampton hat mehrere Leitungen, die horizontal und Überhang gelegt sind willkommen Bereich.

  • ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!

  • if it did excisted. the building would be shaking! and to experience that...

  • I know it's not real, but it's still fun. I love the added "thunk" when pulling out the stop drawbar. What is the music?

  • @cb77305 It's an improvisation about Salve Regina, I think

  • Sadly, most churches are going the camp fire music rout.e. The organs are seldom used because they do not want to maintain them.

  • ya got that right, we still use an organ but it has not been a pipe organ for a long time though we still have the pipes to it for show and if we ever did want to hook it back up, though a good pipe organ will last longer then any old speaker organ as the parts stay in toon longer then a speaker organ still its rare for even finding a good organist these days that could even really play the organ to its fullest, I know of only a hand full of them, after all its harder then playing a piano.

  • Fake. There is no 128 feet pipe. You can cannot hear that.

  • @Orionman8 Yeah imagine the blower that could produce the air to even make a pipe of that length even speak. If you get a chance to hear or feel some 64 ft theatre organ pipes hit up Organ Stop Pizza in AZ

  • 32ft, theres only two organs in the world with 64fts, atlantic city and Sydney town hall.

  • liverpool cath. organ has an 64´ too: resultant bass

  • Many organs have a 64ft stop, every one of these except two, are resultant, part of a 64ft rank, or digital. THe only two organs in the world with a full lenght 64ft stop is the Atlantic city convention hall organ, and the Sydney Town hall organ.

  • You know, as insensitive as earthquake jokes are now, this video is hilarious. Don't underestimate the power of sound.

  • BRAVO BRAVO Merci !!

  • JPL Engineers have just confirmed that the Haiti earthquake was likely caused by the Pipe Organ newly installed in Miami, Florida. (Scientific America, February 2010, page 116-19)

  • @PennnSmith I've done a lot of searching, and the only evidence I can find of this "confirmation" is the one you provided in this comment. Sounds like a load of bull to me.

  • very entertaining, especially the piece of tape on the stop written with "128' " on it. =D

  • Oh please, people! This video is funny as hell. Suspend your disbelief for just a moment and laugh for once! Sheesh!

  • The singing ended when he pulled the stop.

    Organ pipes of *Mass* destruction?

  • @gondolacrescent5 lmao!!!!
