How good a player is now how, can mean absolutely nothing in the long term. He'll still have to work harder than anyone around him cause there is always kids out there with just as much god given talent as he has. Hard work + Talent = MLB .

Cutting through the jibber jabber and straight to the nitty gritty. I play college baseball and have coached little league teams in the past. Regardless what bat he is using and what age he is. He is faster than the other player as you can see in 0:23 - 0:40 and his swing is phenomenal to be so young. Pause it as he is connecting 1:20, you can see his leg is straight and firm as it should be, he keeps his hands inside the ball fairly well, ball jumps off of the bat. He is small but he is good!

here is my take... hit the ball in the air there are maybe 1 in 1000 five year olds that will be able to not only catch it but also judge it without backing away. good contact though, can definitely develop the skills to make the batting smooth. stances and swings looked good.
