U miss slot of shortcuts in this game...

Lost Island = near the start is a waterfall... Go through it and Over volcano for 9+ boost

Arctic Circle = Near the end go over the penguins for 9+, 4+, and a jump to the finish line

Greek Isles = a short while when the police cop boat thing whatever is chasing you, you will see another waterfall... GO THROUGH IT

Man you guys never did the boost start! :( Start in reverse and right after they count each second shift the throttle the other way.

Reverse, 3, forward, 2, reverse 1, forward - GO GO GO!

There where so many hidden shortcuts in that game and little hidden things... nice arcade game for sure. Loved the last boat on the bottom right but it took forever to get all the engines to deploy when you got boost.

I always played hydro thunder on a arcade machine... and I had perfect realism... because this machine stood in the arcade of a ferry to England =) No rumble pack can beat REAL wave movements on this game!

This version actually looks a lot more fun than the re-released version on the 360, which I own and rarely play. I still recommend it although these courses seem much more fun

@H0wlinPelleAlmqvist Actually, Hurricane is a sequel, not a re-release, and the Tempest Pack which comes out in a week contains three new courses that look much more fun than the ones that come with the game. It's only 400 MS Points, so soon you'll have a great reason to play it again!

I have Midway Arcade Treasures 3 and it has Hydro Thunder on it. The hardest track to get first on would have to be Venice Canals. There is only on way to do it. You have to jump that barrier that forces you to go around and boost the whole way, but you have to conserve some of it to do the jump out of water with no ramp.

Oh man Rad Hazard!? Bad choice. Tidal Blade was the showstopper here. Hands down my favorite racing game. I loved the little details with the radar going snowy when you enter caves and the other boats yelling at you. Too bad Swinging Ape Studios is no more. This game was wonderful, the N64 version sucked though.
