  • "Never mind the 6 feet, let's talk about the 7 inches!" LMAO, humor like that never gets old!

  • Best line ever. Ride her cowboy.

  • Mae West...is a brilliant women, writer, actress, comedienne, sex symbol, and screen legend...that will ive on forever. She made just 12 movies, but these movies have stood the test of time as some of the best comedic films ever made. West is probably one of the only movie goddesses to live past 1980, who was a movie star in the 1930s. Wow, I must say Miss Mae looks good for her age here...!!!

  • I am a huge fan of mae west! She is funny and unique! We all miss her!

  • This is gross. One of two of the lines would look fine on paper but when an old lady says them it sounds plain gross.

  • A very young Tom Sellek as her lover

  • She didn't need to act...she was so funny..such a talent......so your 6 feet 7 inches....nevermind about the 6 feet...lets talk about the seven inches...so funny I cracked up...

  • She's horrible. Seriously, what kind of walk is that? Oh, and she couldn't act for shit!

  • Brilliant.

  • She is so glamorous

  • Never mind about the six feet....... Lest talk about the seven inches..... LMFAOROTF!!!

  • Who is the guy that says, "I let 'em have it in the belly?" He looks very familiar, but I just can't place him!

  • @1GodOnlyOne That is actor Richard Widmark

  • @cluvsonj Thanks! He reminds me of Frank Gorshin, as well as James Franco.

  • @cluvsonj Thanks! He kinda reminds me of Frank Gorshin, as well as James Franco.

  • @1GodOnlyOne You are welcome and I can see both those actors faces in him. I had to look him up myself for I didnt know his name either.

  • "Nevermind about the 6 feet ... let's talk about the 7 inches".... CLASSIC !!!!

  • Some of her dialogue goes by so smoothly that you don't realize how funny it is until afterwards. "You got a big mob, and I'm a little tired today." (pause) "One of these guys will have to go."

  • Mae West looked like hell here, and was a creepy, chubby, ugly old bag with a voice like a retarded parrot with a mouth full of shit.

  • @junior2004hasz Let's see how good you look at age 77.

  • @1GodOnlyOne I'm 85 you little shit and I'll kick your littel queer ass just like I kicked the hell out of the Germans at the Bulge in 1944. And I never liked Mae West, even when I was a kid and she was younger. She wasn't talented, she wasn't "witty" (that was her writers), she was famous for being a sleaze and having no morals. But now she's like a nun compared to the whores running around like that Hilton girl and them others.

  • @junior2004hasz I guess you told me.

  • @1GodOnlyOne hpmmmph.

  • @junior2004hasz Harrrumph!

  • @1GodOnlyOne good to see we agree on something. have a nice evening.

  • @junior2004hasz are you really 85

  • @eminence18 as a matter of fact, I ain't. Just turned 86 last week, so - no, I'm not 85.

  • @junior2004hasz well hppy belated birthday. It's cool that more than just punks and wanna be intellectuals are on youtube. this hag is a tramp

  • @eminence18 Thank you. I don't get out much in the winter so I spend a lot of time online playing poker and chatting and all that crap that 14 year olds do these days. Only if I had their energy (and not my bum leg) then I'd be outside instead of rotting away in front of a computer... oh, well....

  • @junior2004hasz happy b day... and i want to say i hope that you waxed a lot of asses in your day...and got all the pussy.. from the black chicks and white ones both... a true player waxers pussy of any color... if your a man ... ha ha

  • this is what I call a real Woman

  • Mae looks good. Its hard for a woman to age.Cary Grant and Clark Gable are called distinguished when they are robbing the cradle. Now Raquel Welch is alsmost as old as when mae did this film.I never got a chance to see this film,it looks like a comedy.I am a West fan.My father was 20 when this film was released,he enjoyed her humour.Believe it or not men liked her even when she was old.

  • It's pretty silly. The book was terrific, a wonderful and funny read. If they had stuck to the bestselling book, it could have been a great film. A great talent like Mae was wasted here. It didn't take her long before she knew she was in a bomb, and said so.

  • @defundthewar The Film was Great, The book was OK.

  • If it were young female starlets waiting to sleep with a rich producer, no one would bat an eyelid. What i do think is amazing is that this lady was still sexy and still capable of delivering her naughty one liners....i LOVE this lady

  • The music and style reminds me of porno movie from around 1976-77.

  • there was one only one Mae West

  • Am I the only one slightly disturbed by the concept of a bunch of (relatively) young men lining up to have sex with a 77-year-old woman? 0_o

  • @bwing55543 Mae West might have been 77, but she didn't look like it, and the character of Leticia Van Allen was definitely not supposed to be elderly. Just "mature". Her age is never mentioned in the film, but in the book, Leticia was 40-ish. The fact that Mae West could play such a middle-aged nympho at this time in her life--- and get away with it--- is quite something. I find her to be hilariously funny in this movie, and she lights up the screen every time she's on.

  • YES, THAT IS TOM SE

  • Is that Tom Selleck?

  • Mae seemed to still have a bit of energy here....much more than in her movie "Sextette", made about eight or nine years later. But after all, she was in her 70's when she made this...and in her 80s when she filmed "Sextette"! The lady had guts, that's for sure! And that's Tom Selleck as the first young man she sees....don't think I ever saw him without a moustache before now! THANKS for posting this campy clip! :)

  • No way! Lousy ? Maybe in this film she was, however, this was a woman that knew how to make people laugh, sexy, and didn't give a damn. She knew who she was but, it is sad to think that while she was young... audiences embraced her comedic timing only then perhaps. So right into the arrival of her part in this film, some fans turned on her because of her age to an extent treating her like she was a joke. Hell, most comedic actresses today,etc...couldn't hold a candle to her.

  • That's Tom Selleck at 1:26!

  • A great actress who wasn't afraid to have fun with her own image. Theres' only one Mae West!

  • mae west was one "GREAT LADY"!

  • I sing about West, Selleck, and others in The Celebrity Song.

  • We only went to see this film for Mae West. She insisted on writing her own lines, was only in it as a series of cameos but got top billing. On yer Mae.

  • no one can imitate the innocent (really) sexuality mae West exubes. Come on, doesnt matter what her age is, she is HOT

  • That first guy called in was a very young Tom Selleck!

  • Wow a young Tom Selleck !

  • "Well never mind about the 6 feet lets talk about the seven inchs" ROFLMAO only Mae West could get away with such a campy line.

  • Joan Collins is 76 too.

  • 76 years old and still that smokin' hot?! Damn, they just don't make broads like that anymore.

  • Or makeup.

  • this demands a revisit

  • Freaky to think she was almost 80 when this was made..

  • At 1:05, that's Richard Widmark as Tommy Udo in the film Kiss of Death, the inspiration for Frank Gorshin's Riddler role in BATMAN.

  • Mae West is FANTASTIC!!!! Truly the double entendre queen

  • Mae... when she's good, she's good. When she's bad, she's better!

  • Wow! I had forgotten all about this! THanks for posting!

  • tom selleck was FINE!!!

  • Damn was she HAWT! She was really old during this time and still looked fantastic!

  • excellent

  • that was Tom Selleck. I wonder if they had sex in real life???

  • never saw Mae West or this movie but it seems like a classic!!!! she supposedly was a very very knd woman and of course a big star...were the old clips part of the movie or just added for this video? THANKS FOR SHARING... it's humorous...

  • funny story about that, it's a movie

  • Comment removed

  • +1 me.

  • nope - she made another film several years later - "sextette"

  • lets talk about the seven inches...lol

  • YEH LOL

  • For the record it wasn't West's swan song, that would be Sextette eight years later.

  • "vomits"

  • I love her. She was so great. =D

  • Whats with the interludes from other movies?

  • they are part of the movie...who knows?

  • It was the movie's attempt to be cool. It mostly just annoyed the actors in the original films.

  • She was a hoot! . . . one of a kind, really. Thank You for generously sharing this . . . it's a classic of its own quality and size . . . grazie.

  • "nevermind the six feet....let's talk about the seven inches"...lol!

  • Wow, I didn't think it possib;t to be almost 80 and look like this

  • Boy is she something else ! There won't be another like that

  • Mae was terrific in this and young Tom Selleck looks good enough to eat!

  • Mae got colonics

  • Mae Looks great in this film, but unfortunately she was starting to sound like Aunt Clara from "Bewitched!"

  • HMM COWBOY. HOW TALL ARE YOU?

    I'M 6 FT 7 INCHES.

HMMMMM. NEVER MIND ABOUT THE 6 FEET..

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE 7 INCHES Mmm

;-O WOW, WHAT A WOMAN. BOLD AND SASSY. GOTTA LOVE THAT ;-P

  • "Get your resumes out" xD

I love how disposable men are to her x3 She's always in charge xD

"I can wait to get to bed. If that doesn't work, I'll try to sleep." xDDDDDD

  • Saw this movie in college when it first came out!! Shows how stupid both the administration and the student "body" were. Nobody but me and maybe a couple of gay professors got any of the jokes. I rolled on the floor at that last line but the kids sitting around gave me puzzled looks. If it had been about sex with farm animals or about big breasts, they would have understood.

Everyone gets old and looses their beauty, but some maintain a unique style that outlives stupidity and provincialism.

  • Excellent clip. 5 stars! Favorited!

  • Mae West was another classic who believed in fun and yes I could see her with those men. She was an example of how high and mighty some people try to be. She had talent, beauty wit and charm. Not grosteque but one classy dame.

  • Mae West was 77 years old when she made this picture. They must have applied her makeup with a putty knife. But she could still deliver a line like "Get your resumes out!" and make it sound dirty as hell.

  • Actually her skin was very smooth even in her 80's according to the book I am reading on her. The biographer interviewed in her 80's. She had strict beauty secrets like no drinking or smoking, natural diet, spring water, etc etc

  • And a facelift at ~60 and another in her early 70's. Beauty secrets are for the people who buy TV miracle products!

  • She was 76, and hot. Old, and still hot.

  • @scotpens Right?

  • @scotpens What Make-up? She Was Perfect!

  • @scotpens What Make-up? She was Perfect!

  • @scotpens What Makeup? She was All Natural!

  • lol...classic Mae. Got to love her.

  • I don't think that the movie was that bad. Critics are often out-of-tune with the average person. They are trained to look for certain features that most people don't really care about. Mae looked great in this movie and she delivered her lines well. It was full of big names and I enjoyed the little scenes from other movies.

  • I liken this movie to the film version of "Mame" with Lucille Ball, from around the same time. Both panned by almost everyone in their day, but forty years later, and they've both aged remarkably well, and are being appreciated by a whole new crop of fans who weren't even born when they were first released. Plus, even in a sub-par movie, legends like Lucy and Mae are always worth seeing.

  • gte your resumes out boys.....LOL...funny as fuck man...

  • stupid POS movie..but damn i hope if i live to be 70 years old that i can loook THAT glamorous.

  • I must see this movie, it seems very humorous!!!

  • LOL,, "never mind about the 6 feet, lets talk about the 7 inches"... LOL I never saw this flick until now...

  • wow. she was like....sex in heels.

  • "a lousy actress parroting cheap innuendo"

    LOVE IT

  • AJKHSALKJHSD

That was sooo sexual I cant believe.

    Mae West you rock.

  • mae West Never had A Worst Movie! All Her Movies Were Great!

  • I thought this was Mae's worst film.

    Then she did Sextette.

  • she was way ahead of her time...

  • Yea this film was murdered by the critics-even more so than 1967s Valley of the Dolls. But, there is not too many films that have four sex symbols from different decades. Mae West from the 30s, Raquel Welch from the 60s, Farrah Fawcett from the 70s, and Tom Selleck from the 80s. A rare treat indeed.

  • "Never mind the 6 feet, lets talk about the 7 inches" lmao! i love the way Mae West talks

  • Mae was many, many decades ahead of her time! Amazing!

  • that inches line, she said it in the 30s also.

  • Tom Selleck looks soo... beautyful.

Mae was great in her final years.

  • She lived 10 more years. See "Sextette," her final movie. Now THAT was the last "Mae West" movie!

  • groan...

  • jeez she looks great for being 77 in this film

  • yeah..it's like wow..mid 70's and she loooke dgreat..that sure is something...

  • 76.

  • Where Are the Missing Mae West sceans that were cut from this movie???

  • They were destroyed, Blame Michael Sarne.

  • Mae also insisted on delivering her own dialogue in the film; certainly NOT what Gore Vidal wrote in his original novel! Yes, that's young Tom Selleck in one of his first film appearances...

  • LOL "Never mind the six feet, let's talk about the seven inches!" :)

  • That was a GREAT line...LOL!

  • I'm just hoping that she had a shower installed her office, too!

  • "IN her office, too!", I meant to type.:)

  • I read that Mae West's contract said NOBODY in the movie could wear black and white except her. Apparently black and white clothing really stands out in a color movie. Anyway, one day, Raquel Welch comes onto the set to film a scene, and she's dressed in all black and white, just for spite. Needless to say, she was forced to change clothes. Don't mess with Mae West!

  • The version of that story that I know stated that MW'c contract stated that, but, one day, RW came to the set in a black & PALE blue ensemble, which, in Technicolor(?), of course, looked white onscreen. A 'rumble' got goin', but, in the end, RW was allowed to wear her dress, because, TECHNICALLY,...it was blue(heh-heh).

  • That dress was Raquel's, the one she was suppose to wear was found in shreds in

    Raquel's Closet on the set.

  • No, she got away with it. See the whole movie... It was her sophomoric "shot" at a veteran.

  • i love 1:42-46

  • One of the best movies ever made!!! "ah, yes i am!!!"

  • lol, censored with war films..

  • Forget about all that, let's talk about the seven inches!

  • One of my favorite films ever... jimnick1, the vintage film clips were inserted in reference to the original book, 'Myra Breckinridge' where the main character constantly referred to scenes from her favorite films and compared them to her own life

  • The director should have been shot! Why doesn't someone edit out those idiotic clips...

  • I agree..

  • black and white movie was...kiss of death..anyoen am i right?

  • hahahahahaha, I think it is so funny joke! Mae West looked so great in her 70s age...wow, how sexy she was! Tom Selleck looks great and very handsome! Sadly, why the director cut the footages of Mae West in the secret cutter room that night...Mae was so disappointed! I heard that!

  • A hell of a movie,a hell of an embarassement!I love it!!!

  • I dont know why but I just like the entrance of Mae West.. And like da music..

  • Isn't she gorgeous? Still in here! Absolutely divine! When I grow up I wanna be Leticia van Allen!

    This movie is so underrated!

  • agree totally, a great movie, the editing was bad.

  • AWSOME!@#$ i love this movie... "how tall are ya...?"
