Also he can wake up any moment and decide to drive his car. This can be very dangerous because he is intoxicated. He can be a threat to himselve or others...f.e. a traffic accident. Probably he will be held for maximum 12 hours in a police-cell.

I would have tazered him the minute he said "you don't have the guts" and another tazer when he broke the window instead of just saying "you won't get away with this" to satisfy my alter ego. These cops showed self restraint in handling him. This should serve as a benchmark when recruiting new police officers.

Most of them are decent guys, until you try to run them over with your car to make a run for it.. A couple of people have died these last few years by doing exactly that, and they got shot for it. These are Flemish (Dutch-speaking Belgians) cops, mind you, Wallon (French-speaking Belgians) cops are a totally different story. Corrupt bunch of pigs, most of them.

i'll explain... In Brussels, the capital, 80% is french speaking, the other 20% are flemish, dutch talking people. The Police are mostly flemish, and believe me they really are bastards with the french speaking. I once had to stay naked in a cold cell after they beat me up! The reason, well none really! When i asked a document saying i been arrested, they just ask me if i wanted to stay there in that cell naked for longer...
I've been "arrested" twice (more like taken in for questioning, didn't even need to wear cuffs or anything) for minor drug offences, once in Brussels and once in Hasselt. I was never treated badly, but you're probably one of those dudes that act all gangsterey, thinking rude is the new cool, resisting arrest. Expect similar behaviour from the cops in return.
OK, I know it's not that simple in all cases, and some cops truly are assholes, but the majority aren't, so don't try to make it look that way. I'm more weary of Dutch cops than of Belgian cops, the Dutch are friendly too but far more stricter, pendantics when it comes to rules. With Belgian cops you can talk your way out of it because rules in belgium are guidelines, not laws written in stone. Act friendly and you might just be able to talk your way out of it.
That is the best arrest i have seen, so funny the guy is a smart arse and police hate that, when he started the insults the police should have thrown him to the ground on his stomach, this normally winds the person and reduces resistance and also they cannot talk back.

man, the Belgian Police are pretty nice haha consider the guy totally disrespected them and broke the van window lol I think there'd be tazers and shit in north american lol thats what I think ppl who resist arrest deserve, a nice tazer to the chest!

Most of them are decent guys, until you try to run them over with your car to make a run for it.. A couple of people have died these last few years by doing exactly that, and they got shot for it. These are Flemish (Dutch-speaking Belgians) cops, mind you, Wallon (French-speaking Belgians) cops are a totally different story. Corrupt bunch of pigs, most of them.

well, u talking complete rubbish! In brussels the police gave me so much abuse, and all the time... those bastards were all flemish sons of bitches. on many occasions they were beating us up just coz we didnt carry our carte d'identite. fuck the flemish cops.

Flemish is derived from Flanders, the northern part of Belgium.

i'll explain... In Brussels, the capital, 80% is french speaking, the other 20% are flemish, dutch talking people. The Police are mostly flemish, and believe me they really are bastards with the french speaking. I once had to stay naked in a cold cell after they beat me up! The reason, well none really! When i asked a document saying i been arrested, they just ask me if i wanted to stay there in that cell naked for longer...

I've been "arrested" twice (more like taken in for questioning, didn't even need to wear cuffs or anything) for minor drug offences, once in Brussels and once in Hasselt. I was never treated badly, but you're probably one of those dudes that act all gangsterey, thinking rude is the new cool, resisting arrest. Expect similar behaviour from the cops in return.

OK, I know it's not that simple in all cases, and some cops truly are assholes, but the majority aren't, so don't try to make it look that way. I'm more weary of Dutch cops than of Belgian cops, the Dutch are friendly too but far more stricter, pendantics when it comes to rules. With Belgian cops you can talk your way out of it because rules in belgium are guidelines, not laws written in stone. Act friendly and you might just be able to talk your way out of it.

That is the best arrest i have seen, so funny the guy is a smart arse and police hate that, when he started the insults the police should have thrown him to the ground on his stomach, this normally winds the person and reduces resistance and also they cannot talk back.
