sadest truth is that often 'evidence' is based on investment and opinion. the direction is to prove the opinion and not search for the answer to the question but the answer to the opinion. such as dawkins and the selfish gene. we see taht DNA does not evolve so this means that mutations happen and are taken up not by the Gene but simple out of odds...the selfish gene trys to say other wise the above as well as Brian Cox et al are after 'religion' and the like to hide their own short comings...

Just an observation, important topic., I note none of the panelists have every worked in private sector clinical research. They seem to have a slightly idealistic view of evidence based science as it pertains in particular to the commercial world.

@urbanbushing Spot on mate IMC is brilliant, I love it, Just been on wikipedia reading about Peter Higgs, Wouldn't have done that prior to listening to this. Was always a fan of Radio 4, but now, well, I'm (re)discovering my physics interest.
