@mhcoburn5 she means normally in shows when ur wearing tall boots u do not canter over small jumps ^ as such. Normally the jumps are around 2ft. The state i show in, thats how it is, i dont no if its different in different states but i didnt think the jumps were that small unless it were short stirrup. was this a home or away show?
idk if im correct or not but when we were taking a lesson in the barn next to tht one im pretty sure that thats the one but the white horse strated running and i think bucked then we all had to emergency dismount!
There are three jumping classes. The 3rd one is where she earned the blue ribbon. The 4th place was what she got for English Pleasure (the flat class) where they judge the rider at the walk, trot and canter. Thanks for watching. Blue ribbon is 1st.
I dont understand the class 1, 2 flat or even the blue ribbon ride thing, but It is cool to see her jump and control the horse. I'm confused.. 4th place is a blue ribbon? And where is the credit for the great camera guy?
@Cassign Some shows place different colors and ribbons. Like some big shows down in FL the red is 1st blue is 2nd white is 3rd and green is 4th-10th. It just depends on where your at.

Yes it is an academy schooling show. Is it wrong to canter over cross rails? What do you mean by this. Novice parent here.

@Boratman96 You dont have to be in novice to be able to canter over cross rails. in classes with cross rails, you can either canter or trot.
