  • i like to listen to the horowitz recording of this from 1956 if you really want a good idea how to "feel" this piece of music

  • Superb!!! What talent. Totally jealous now - *away to play chopsticks on Fruityloops with a heavy sigh* :-)

  • A good level, no doubt, and you know the piece to do it without respirations. But :

You have to make appear the contrasts : very loud, and suddently only a whisper.

Next, (in french we say "point d'orgue", but I don't know the english word) on the long silences, or when a sound stays in the air, the spectator need time to breathe : you continue playing well and quick but take your time when you can, and play the rest as quick as you want.

  • I think it splended piece bravoa: but if spectators require/demand more dynamics, tell them turn up and down the volume...that should sort em...

  • ScaryultraCreepy look at the end

  • Dynamics, dynamics, dynamics... Where is it!!!

  • damn it i wish i played piano

  • 0:26 the finger move slower than it sounds but after that same speed again.. this is not live recording..

  • here hands look like spiders when the move WHY DO THEY

  • Bravo!

  • So beautiful Janet!! You are so talented!!

  • Jesus Christ...

    Your hands are having seizures...

  • Wow! I am in awe! I've tickered on the piano but I've never put in the kind of time, study, and dedication this obviously shows. She's not a slacker like I am.

  • There's a limiter on the sound in there, somewhere, and it's doing some good ruin.

  • @MCMCsimulation ? fur elise is only grade 7...

  • Stunning.

    It's not a Steinway ffs.

    Beautifully executed.

  • creo que me enamore!!!

  • The way she slouched and looked dorky in the end like "yeah it was tough, i barely made through it" was totally HOT.

  • From 0:29 - smooth soft music, why do you have such a sharp staccato? In my opinion, the interpretation of so-so, but the technique for five-plus!

  • You need some more strenght on your left hand in my opinion, but it was pretty good :)

  • Wow!

  • u missed a note.lol

  • like this amazing

  • i want your right brain , :D you are so amazing !

  • @maiyyachicholous Guy, its hard work and dedication.. you can get there!

  • :o incredible

  • It's a bummer that she doesn't play the whole piece... it's also a bummer that her long spindley fingers would make my weiner look even smaller

  • Well...........what can I say

  • Fuck that. I'll stick to my three valve key trumpet.

  • @downedcoyote1 As will I xD

  • Photoshop.

  • how this girl isn't famous already i have no idea. amazing!

  • thats great! :-)

  • I like how your fingers look so graceful as you play! I wanna play just like you! :) GREAT JOB!!!

  • this is good! She does a good job!

  • your boyfriend must be happy : : D

  • Comment removed

  • Wow.... she's GREAT too!! Even though she didn't play the entirety, I bet she could..... She's is the total package! Olde Ludwig must be proud in his shroud! I've seen Wilhelm Kempf's version, and it's the water mark for this piece, I need to hear her play all 3 movements in their entirety before I can judge, because Lisitsia is the best female player for this piece I've heard so far.

  • Wow, that was truly beautiful

  • I love how your fingers are dancing around on the piano :)<3 and so beautiful play.

  • woaaw u play that like ur face ! Cz ur pretty

  • Great job, but I would have like to have heard a little more sustain on the melodies, this would have muddled the piece and helped convey the sheer madness that Bethoven was trying to convey

  • You played very well, but why skip the whole development?

  • YEAH YOU KILLED IT!!!!!! bazillion thumbs up

  • you skipped a part at the end. other than that great job.

  • @gpmelendez no shit she obviously did it on purpose

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh this playing is really good ..shes so hot!! too

  • Yeah make that the left hand D#. Too early in the morning to be accurate.

  • HEY WATCH THIS GUY ' WIMESTONE' is his channel

    HES REALLY GOOD

  • You are fake. You can see 0:28 that moment. You were slower than music!

  • @12391946 that spot is actually exactly how it is played you are not hearing it right :P don't be jealous because she is one of the few who can play this piece correctly, lol

  • @12391946 :)))) you are definitely no pianist!

  • AWESOME!!! Really beautiful

  • This is why I hate digital pianos. You play well but the piano you're on just sucks all of the life out of the interpretation with its dull cheesy sound.

  • @hellomate639 Yeah I have the same Winchester model. Moved country could not afford to move mine or buy another one. In 0.54 - 0.57 you can hear the lame Winchester midi in the right hand D# too well. Its not only the sound though. The playing is weightless and it feels like you are pushing a light switch. Takes the joy out of playing. She is very good given the semi - crap she is playing it on though.

  • awesome

  • A little bit soft.....I remember that there are lots of ' fff ' on the sheet. Good cut by the way.

  • @Anthony42ly I'd doubt a lot in thinking that without knowing how much I need to hit the hey of that kind of piano. Well, I'm just wondering that according to the sound of it.

  • Good way of cutting the song :)

  • Amazing

  • Wooowwww !!! :P

  • sweet smile

  • 1:56 for lulz.

  • Your right hand looks so damn good, smooth movement!

  • Very nice and clean, but you had absolutely no dynamics. And dynamics are absolutely essential if you want to be considered a good pianist!

  • @babygrand1011 Don't forget the fact that it's a digital piano she's playing on, I have one myself and sometimes it's nearly impossible to make real dynamics...

  • @babygrand1011 NICE, NICE... NICE you actually found something to put her down with. probably just wanted to make yourself feel better.... NICE!!!

  • @lisovskiyv he's just considering the performance at a professional point of view. if she's reached that level (having a clean playing of this piece), she may like to have advices like anybody would and not just approuvals, to get even more better.

  • @lisovskiyv It sounded like constructive criticism to me.

  • @lisovskiyv

his/her comment was a constructive criticism, which is aimed towards helping the person improve. Please, put your ignorance somewhere else

  • what a piano sound and what a interpretation!!!, you are awesome!!!

  • Awesome!

  • Great skill.

  • Still a long way to go.

Keep studying, the talent is there, but it needs to be developed quite a bit.

  • bravo !!!!!!

  • She is very talented, but i find shes playing it a bit to fast...

  • you come from

  • Sounds better in cola piano

  • PRETTY GOOD \o/

    A GREAT EXECUTION!!!!!!!!

  • good. :-)

  • you play like a robot that plays with feeling :D

  • Bravo!

  • When people are good at piano they just suddenly come so much more attractive..

  • @rayar007 yes theyare

  • i love the sound of your piano. it's so presice!

  • You're jst as good as Wilhelm Kempff was!

  • Can you send me the link for he sheet music for this? The version I have is 6 minutes long, thanks!

  • @MeaghanDearsley22 basically, cut out all the repeats in the song and just play it through. hope this helps. :)

  • This piano looks tiny for you?

  • This is the most accurate and clear version I have ever heard from a non-concert pianist! Keep up the good work!

  • you are amazing! the way you play is so smooth and perfect.

  • I LOVE how you have such a light touch on the keys!!!!

  • Your finger are softly dancing over the keys. Amazing.

  • awesome.... clear... accuracy... sometimes fast doesn't mean everything...

  • I agree a little more sustain, but she really makes up for it with correct timing. A lot of people try to play too fast and the timing is way off in the left hand. Great job

  • Needs more sustain.

  • Wonderful! perfect! congrats!!!!!

  • how come people didn't know about this before toby?

  • 0_0 wow

  • @monkeyBoner773 people nowadays doesn't understand irony

  • I LOVE YOU

  • we need more FORTE!!!!

  • wow absolutely perfectly build hands for piano!!!

  • too slow :/

  • that is too awesome

  • wanna go out for coffee?

  • Tobuscus baby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheEmotionalstone nope! I can't play for my life!

  • this is really really good! good job and keep it up xD

  • wow you're awesome you have lots of stamina also. May I ask how long have you been playing for now?

  • use the pedals....

  • Very good. Pretty smile also.

  • You are fantastic!! and your interpretation is the only one I have seen that is close to the only one I consider PERFECT, and that's Murray Perahia's.

Please post the full piece, There is so much we all can learn from you.

I would also like to see you play the 1st movement. Both pieces are very different but as well, you can see how they are related.

    Keep it up!

  • I like it very much. I wonder some day I could play like that.

  • Well played, I love how fluidly your fingers moves. But it would have been nicer if you play a little slower, sounds like you are rushing this piece.

  • Nicely done. I would've done it a little differently, in ways such as using more pedal and learning the other 5 minutes of the song, but what you did was great. Keep it up :)

  • you are very hottt andgood at piano i would marry you

  • this is very very good playing

  • wheres the other 4 and a half minutes..?

  • Marry me!

  • Nice job, not rushed, not over dramatized...like many others do.

Check out: Wilhelm Kempff plays Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata mvt. 3

    He plays it PERFECTLY!

  • @PhotosByHamza

That recording is actually riddled with mistakes, but they're too minor to spoil the experience. Mistakes aside its still my favorite rendition and I would love to have heard him in his youth.

  • @D0g63rt : I hear you, I would have loved to hear him live as well...

  • does anyone know this feeling? I so wanna play this music my fingers are prickeling, but i havent a single clue of piano playing :-/

    great job

  • Amazing! Your fingers just dance across the different keys! I would love it if you learn the rest of the song as well and post a video of you playing it!

  • Oh my god....who are you

  • catherine zita jones?

  • Crap, you make it look easy!

  • great playing, shit piano.

  • That was Great! i dont know why you skipped the middle, but i bet ud sound great doing it.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • haaacks.

  • /watch?v=ZF5ra8N1ndw

This is a small part of the 3rd movement of the Moonlight Sonata, by Ludwig Van Beethoven

it's played by michael romeo of symphony x

  • Nice to see that "normal" people can play so good haha ;-D

    Very impresive, seriosly!

  • woman your too young

  • truly amazing. such an excellent song.

  • with those lovely relaxed light hands, you wont get tired doing the full version one day!

  • so short version :(

  • First of all... I'd like to congratulate you..!! Your way of playing piano has left me ASTOUNDED...!! This is by FAR the best Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement video, I've ever seen... Keep up the good work!!!... I hope I can watch some more of your talent.... :D

  • @joseph1902 this is good and all but have you heard Wilhelm Kempff play this? hes good

  • Hello! I am recently working on this piece, and I've got a question; How long did it take you to learn the whole piece?

  • You got my full respect, Amazing talent....

  • Awesome hands. Very good playing. Bravissima.

  • sounds nice

  • great job! i love it. best one on here!

  • super!

  • You are seriously awesome :) I'm starting on the second mvt and i do plan on playing the third one too :)

  • great video. have any of you guys looked at the wow cheats pack on warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it's impressive, i just downloaded the pack. it's got completely everything inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches and even the newest arena glitch. i probably shouldn't reveal to folks about it however at the very least this offers you all a reasonable opportunity to download it before i pwn all of you!

  • you are a very talented pianist. you look so relaxed. Very beautiful!

  • Wow this is so clean! very articulate and great attack! Do mind if I ask - I am a beginner and learning this song at about measure 100 and playing almost 60 percent speed but I am having trouble with the fingering on the trills at this mark 0:42

Which fingers do you use for the octave prior and for the fingers. My sheet music says "3" and "5" for the first A# octaves to G but only a "4" for the second. Is this right? Any suggestions on practicing it slower to get the feel or warm ups to get good

  • i think you play just ok because i think theres no feelings when you play, its just like a robot touching every note.
