That was a great capture scene when Wonder Woman falls through the trap door and the henchmen immediately pounces on her with the chloroform and not giving her a chance to recover and then wrapping her up with her own golden lasso causing her to reveal her weaknesses. That was one smart thinking villian. Too bad none of the other villians in the later episodes were as quick thinking as him.

Actually, it was Fausta who got the idea of using the golden lasso to compel Wonder Woman to reveal her weaknesses. earlier in the episode, the Nazi agents kidnapped Steve Trevor to lure Wonder Woman into a trap. Wonder Woman used her golden lasso to compel a henchman to tell her where Steve was;Fausta observed this and realized that if they could tie up Wonder Woman with her own golden lasso she would be cpmpeled to tell them her weaknesses and they could take her prisoner.

Those three seasons are so crammed with excellent comic-book action. I was very young wihen I first saw this episode. I was stunned that Wonder Woman did not easily break free. I kept saying to the TV, "Wonder Woman, no! You are much stronger that any of us... Why can you not free yourself?"

Slowing down the video and the audio gives this the "drugged effect" on which the storyline is centered. I just still do not get how Wonder Woman does not break out of the trap with her great power.

Normally it would be true that Wonder Woman should easily get out of this trap. But when Wonder Woman fell through the trap door, she was bound with her own golden lasso;like anyone else, Wonder Woman cannot break the golden lasso. Also, Wonder Woman, like anyone else, is compeled to tell the truth when she is bound with the golden lasso;that's why she had no choice but to tell the Nazi agent her weakness, the removal of her magic belt, so that he could make her helpless and take her prisoner.

Then again, the chloroform was simply extremely powerful, and Wonder Woman fell down unexpectedly. I guess no one would be ready to react to that one. When you explain it the way you do, it makes total sense to me. A person's brain can work only so fast, and Wonder Woman's brain was taking a bath in chloroform faster than anyone could imagine.

If that drug hits your system, you're weakened. By then, that Nazi guy was able to use the lasso against her.

When Wonder Woman started to lift the barbell, she wasn't expecting to fall through a trap door and she certainly wasn't expecting a Nazi agent to chloroform her and tie her up with her own golden lasso. Wonder Woman was taken completely by surprise;by the time she realized what was happening, it was too late as she was bound with her own golden lasso and was compeled to tell the Nazi agent to remove her magic belt when he asked her how he can make her helpless and take her prisoner.

I believe that's the segment from 0:42 to 0:51 where Wonder Woman is bound with her own golden lasso and has told the Nazi agent that he can make her helpless by removing her magic belt;when the agent asks Wonder Woman if the chloraform will keep her unconcious, Wonder Woman says "Yes", then looks at him as if to say, "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's just get it over with". That part is even better from 2;19 to 2;40 when it is shown in slow motion.
